The Second Generation Must Go the Righteous Way

Today is the last installment of a special reading from the speech given on the Declaration Day of God’s Eternal Blessing in 1991.

The Ceremony Of The Declaration Of God’s Eternal Blessing

Elder sonship, as I told you, is not yet concluded. Now it is parentship. You have to understand the significance of your request to become tribal messiahs [the application for Tribal Messiahship submitted worldwide on July 1, 1991]. Because this is that day, you have to fulfill it now. Even if you are the elder in your clan, or if you have been in the church for a long time, if you don’t request to become a tribal messiah, you’ll be left out. Then, for example, if you are Kim, you can’t establish Kim’s tribe. Whatever your position might have been, it will be meaningless. Even if you are the chairman of the Federation or a Regional Director, if you don’t make this request to register as a Tribal Messiah, you are disqualified. If you act according to your own consensus, you’ll be greatly ashamed for the rest of your life.

Where did the loss of elder sonship, loss of parentship, and loss of kingship take place? It was not out in the world. So, where can we find these? At home. At home, we lost everything. What we have to do now is settle as families by breaking through the rigid social structure. That is the core of my direction. It is a battle for life, a fight which determines everything.

I did not plan to come to Korea at this time. And I did not plan to declare the Day of God’s Eternal Blessing. But we cannot do without this ceremony. Through the declaration, we will see who is determined to fight with their life, and who is a fake. In a serious time such as this, can one just be a bystander? Can one worry about finding a job? Did you come to the Unification Church in order to get a job? Did you get blessed so you could get a job? If your wife and children block your path in doing the will, you should be ready to leave them. I did not bless you to be people who would do otherwise.

You should go back to your hometowns to establish family foundations and, centering on your parents, build the foundation for restoration. Aren’t your children born within the family? Do you not make love in your home? Where do husband and wife stand in unity based on love? It is in the tribal hall of assembly. This is the time that has come after unimaginable difficulties. I spent 40 years, 70 years in reality, to come to this moment. Given the fact that we are in a time when all can go back to their families to build foundations to restore elder sonship, the realm of parents, and the realm of kingship, anyone who denies this reality and acts on their disbelief will be punished. We have to cut it off from our line of people.

I will look closely at those who try to protect their blessed families. Should I forgive them just because they are blessed families? There may come a time when I personally will cut away those blessed families who do not follow the will.

In the future, a wrongdoer in the tribe is to be judged, and the offender will be cast out by the head of his or her tribe, and children will be sent to take his or her place. Such a time will come. No third parties will be able to meddle in the affairs of the tribe on behalf of the wrongdoer. After having passed through that gate, the devil with his false words will run away.

Next is the restoration of original nature. You have to represent that original nature. You should proclaim, “I am now absolute in representing God. I have the heart to relate to the object of love, centered on love, and I want to make that person even better than myself prior to establishing this heartistic relationship. Thus, I am without doubt a representative of God.”

Restoration of heart is next. As a representative centered on love, you should be the owner of love. If you can be the owner through that love, eternal life will be perpetuated. Without the owner of love, this world cannot beget the owner of life. Love comes first. If you want to be the owner of life, you have to be the owner of love. Fulfill the Kingdom of Heaven of the Family Centered on Love

Through the True Parents, God has become the owner of love, and He wants to be the owner of life. Satan has to be eliminated in order for that to happen. We even want to liberate Satan. The archangel was in a position to take his place behind mankind. He was to wait for mankind to be liberated from the pit of hell, and to fulfill his original mission by guiding the children of Adam and Eve to Heaven. Following the original principle of protecting Adam and Eve from falling at any cost, he even was to seek after the people in hell. That’s how it is. Finding this path is the course of restoration.

Today, I proclaimed the victory that liberates the realm of Cain from Satan’s dominion. So there is nothing for which Satan can accuse True Parents. This does not just happen through a wily scheme: it has to follow the law of Principle. Because that was done, the world revolves around the fortunes of your family. It is not a company. It is not a nation. The nation of Korea does not shape the heavenly fortune. If this does not start from your family, the race and the nation will disappear and will have no relationship with Heaven.

After I gather all for whom I have fought on the worldwide level and bestow blessing upon them, you will go back. You must land at the original base and secure the supreme power of the family level victory, coming to represent the birthright of Heaven. Then you will represent the parents’ right and the king’s right, and when you accomplish that you do not need to be under the control of anyone. You will know how to live, right? If there are things of which you are not sure, you can read my collected sermons. My sermons reveal how I have lived my life.

You are a royal family of heaven in your home. With the messiah, with the Lord of Second Advent who is coming, each of you will play the role of a king. What is your outlook on the world to be? There is no gap between siblings. Your grandfathers represent everything of the past [gap in the tape] . . . and the contents that represent the spirit world and ancestors will become the ideology.

Your parents represent all humanity of the [present] world. Men and women, and parents, all have to become masters at least. A master represents a family. The representative of the family is the parent. Sons and daughters are descendants. They are the microcosm of the past, the present and the future, and the visual representation that illustrates the ideal of love on the kingship level.

Therefore, if a son or a daughter-in-law maintain, centering on love, all of what he or she advocates, then, needless to say grandfather, grandmother and grandson all will follow them. That family welcomes assertions which are centered on love. What kind of love? The re-creational love of God, altruistic love, the love that is forgotten after being given and invested. Even if a grandson makes these assertions centered on love, his grandfather and grandmother will bow their heads in acceptance of it being right.

After establishing this moral foundation in a tribe, a nation and the world, then this family must keep the master’s love of the family heaven in its center, and stand in the master’s seat centering on love. Then that family gains the qualification to be a master of life and to start putting forth buds.

Life starts from love. The lineage begins from the place where life and love are united. Upon receiving God’s blessing, if you govern a long life receiving Heaven’s blessing, prosperity will result. The descendant who can expand horizontally will be born.

Unless you become a master of love and true life, the investment cannot be made. It will gradually become reduced. You will see how that mother and father will move on and what will happen to the son and daughter. You wait and see whether what I say is right.

If a son and daughter come to understand, and can say, “Ah, Heaven cannot but love our mother and father. They never stray from the path of being patriotic day and night. The will of Heaven in all senses will be able to protect them,” then that family will prosper. It is the same with my family. When I said to myself, “Ah, the son or daughter this time will be born this way,” they were born like that. Therefore, I cannot complain. Where are the three generations going? Is the mainstream going zigzag or straight? This is a very serious problem.

After having put this vast and confused world in order, I have made a ladder which mankind can climb. If you are to go up, you can climb even hundreds of stairs. No matter how seriously you search for one, there is no other way to go. I drastically cut off the ladder of temptation. You cannot find a way up by any other means.

Since I proclaimed the Unification Ceremony with that in mind, I wish you would go forward with that knowledge and with confidence. From now on, people who oppose the Unification Church will suffer. I do not expect to be opposed, and I should not be opposed. I want you to be active in the name of the Unification Church as much as possible.

Jesus could not have a “Messiah Proclamation Ceremony.” Centering on Judaism and Israel, he could not do it. What does the “Messiah Proclamation” require? He had to do it with the people of the nation, after having stepped forward with one tribe centering on his own family. He needed the people to make the proclamation. He needed the tribe to make the proclamation. But did he even have a family? Reverend Moon has traversed this entire path. In a free and democratic world in which you can proclaim the True Parents, no matter what anyone says, Reverend Moon is a world figure. When I look at the letters that come from people of all social standings throughout the world, I come across many who testify to that. You should be able to glorify such a tradition, even to your family. When the branch and bud of the teacher emerge and come to look beautiful, you take that branch bud and plant it instead of your own vertical column bud. Then it will become your new vertical column. You know that I have to bless you with the True Family and weave you all together.

Today is the first of July. You must understand how important this ceremony is. This Proclamation Ceremony is an event for which the True Parents have wished, for which God has desired, and for which all religions and nations have hoped. The problem will be settled from now on, based on this standard.

This moment is the same as the time when Adam had the authority to name all things. Now, in accord with the way which I have proclaimed, standing united with the will of God, and standing in a realm that is free from opposition, things will come about as I say. That is the special right of the True Parents.

If you utter a word of curse out of anger with this faith, it will be realized as a real curse. The punishment will be immediate. Therefore, the result of the dispensation will appear to be increasingly fearful. It will affect your families in ways that are revealed externally. Once God takes His place on the seat of judgment, He will not be forgiving. There is no forgiveness.

It is a shame that there appeared offspring who obstruct the heavenly way. There is no way they can be redeemed. Can the parents beg for the redemption of the offspring? Although the offspring can beg for their ancestors’ redemption, the parents cannot beg for the offspring’s redemption. That is how I understand it. So, the second generation must go the righteous way. I desire that you do not go in a way which will make your descendants ashamed of you. This problem will get increasingly serious.

I am presently praying for three important things, but I cannot disclose them yet. Once I start laying my hands on this, the judgment that can bring about worldwide devastation will take place. Who will take responsibility for what results? No one can take the responsibility. In the fallen world, there is no one who can bear the responsibility. Who is going to be responsible after the complete destruction of the nation? I know that the True Parents cannot bear the responsibility.

For that reason, as a sacrifice which can take responsibility in place of that someone in the end, one must bring one’s own children and set them up. This is very serious. Until we had crossed over, all of this was possible. The question is whether this still will take place, now that we have completely crossed over.

Knowing that the time of seriousness is coming, starting from tomorrow, I wish that you not turn back from the direction, perspective and intuition you have on the path in which you are going. Up to now, there has been persecution. However, now, there is no persecution.

When you cross the road at the utmost top in fine array, Satan will be cut off, tried and finished. If you destroy Asherah completely, you have to give all your valuables away and go forward seeking with bare hands. Weren’t the people cast out with bare hands?

You have to cry loudly over the wickedness of the offspring who committed the grave sin, shedding tears with shimjung. We do not know when and where that one day will come.

Now, even if the parents die, it will not be a failure. Since we have finished the Proclamation Ceremony, I ask you to stride with more strength on the advancing line, with that knowledge, handling things upon such a standard, and having faith in that standard.

The Religious Realm and the Governmental Realm Can Be United

The Ceremony Of The Declaration Of God’s Eternal Blessing

Today is the Declaration Day of God’s Eternal Blessing. What does that mean? The right wing and left wing came into being. This has been trouble for God. They must come together as one. We have to march forward as we bring right and left together as one. Until now people have been playing the right and the left. To get this split history under control, God has been receiving persecution here and getting hit there. Like a wife who lost her husband, like one who is chased by enemies, God could not go the right direction to the place where God wants to dwell, but He went here and there and left and right.

Since you joined the church, how many times have you moved left and right? Until now you have said whatever you wanted to say and have done many wrong actions at the expense of True Father. Now Father is praying deeply about how to resolve the problems connected with this. God’s blessed families, whom True Parents desire, are not yet like True Parents. Blessed families have split into left and right. Have your mind and body split, too? God wants the family to unite centered on God. Historically, God has made so many sacrifices to bring the dead back to life. In the process of trying to guide history, God has suffered so much to get everything, left and right, under control. God has patiently waited, enduring a thousand years as if it were a day.

Although True Parents have come to earth, people have treated them like dirt. All of you have wanted to take advantage of True Parents, and True Parents have been abused. Today, July the first, on this very hour you should really repent of all the things you have done wrong and you should make a fresh, brand new beginning. Through your own will you should lament and repent, feeling a guilty conscience and heart-broken embarrassment. You should know that you are in the position to mourn and repent.

Father can make no retreat. Can parents retreat? You should know that parents cannot retreat. Will all your sons and daughters inherit the position of parents, so that your blood lineage is carried on? Centering on these sons and daughters, nations and the world will be formed. This is a serious task. Can you trade your parents for money? Or for dignity? This Principle will not change even if the universe changes. Can you deny this Principle for money? Or for dignity? For power? It cannot be denied even at the cost of your life. Parents should die for the sake of the children and the children should die for the sake of the parents. Only in this way can we truly carry on the way of the universal Principle.

Father has called you through the will of God, made you true sons and daughters, and assigned you the position of tribal messiah. What is the messiah? Jesus wanted to take the victorious position at the cost of his life, mobilize the enemies who were against his mother and father, and put his enemies in Adam’s position. This story [this hope and plan] is like a dream. Unless it is accomplished, however, the horizontal standard on which east, west, south and north can live together in the center cannot be set; the 360 degrees will not be drawn. That is why we have to bear the cross of love and forgive. The chance to do this does not happen all the time. When the messiah comes, settles, and becomes the center, this will not happen. The messiah will judge. Once the center is set and determined, there is no forgiveness. If you have the law, you have to live by the law. However, before the center is set, forgiveness and “re-salvation” are possible.

In this free world, the truth and the heavenly way must be centered on True Parents and the Unification family. Are your wife, husband and children living the principled life? When the day comes, those who did not work hard enough will face the outcome. You might think everything is going your way, but just wait and see. Gradually it all will get twisted.

If a parent does not fulfill the responsibility, the child will not find the right way to go on with his life, and he or she will pay the indemnity. The child will end up suffering. If the child suffers, so does the parent. That’s the way it is. A parent who cannot take care of the child properly cannot be here.

It was the same in the Old Testament Age and the New Testament Age. During the Completed Testament Age, True Parents come down to the earth in order to comfort the suffering God. The Completed Testament Age is the era for true love to eliminate the miserable domain of rejection.

The standard of false parenthood established by Adam and Eve, who were not united with true love, should be corrected based on love for the way of the child, the way of all things, and the way of God. This is an unavoidable conclusion in our Principle view. There is no possible objection to this view.

Those who bowed down first [in the July 1 Main Ceremony] were the representative of the free world and the representative of the communist world. Right now is the turning point when left becomes right and everything reverses. Because of rejection by the realm of Christianity, the realm of communism is progressing. Now we are stepping onto that new level. If the realm of communism does not take the path centered on Reverend Moon, it will fall off the track by which the world will progress. It is the same for America. However, Americans now are realizing that I possess a tremendous influence for good. Now the Right and Left Have Become One

Now the time has come when both America and Russia need Reverend Moon to provide the providential direction. Recently, 200 Russian military generals and members of the Parliament received Principle education in America. They are taking this up with the belief and knowledge that they will be victors by realizing the ideal world through Father’s Godism and Headwing Ideology. They know that Father’s thought will overcome their former materialistic idealism and will create the ideal world.

Looking ideologically at Communism, it is one sided, but because it contains facts which cannot be denied by history, the communists were able to influence and manipulate elite groups.

But now I have taken care of the conflict of left and right. On this foundation, Reverend Moon can go back and forth from America to the communist world, going straight where he wishes to go. Until now, we have always moved straight forward through our opposition. Although it has been this way since the beginning, absolutely the time in which it was even possible to wander without direction has passed. Now we have entered a time in which we can march straight towards our destination with the force of a hurricane and accuracy of a bullet.

You Must Fulfill Your Responsibility After the Blessing

You must all prepare. There is only one parent. You must go through the right process. In order to do this, a father and mother cannot go together at the same time. The father’s heart and mother’s heart, and the father’s body and mother’s body, must be in one line. And then, the son’s heart and the daughter’s heart, the son’s body and the daughter’s body, must be in one line. Two people cannot enter and exit side by side. You must overcome. You two are just one person when you overcome division. There is no room for Satan to come into an opening made by a second person. The father’s heart and mother’s heart, father’s body and mother’s body: parents are one in heart and body. In one body, the son’s and daughter’s hearts and bodies must be one and stand on a straight line. Only when these four come together as one can they extend horizontally. Once you set up vertically, then you can set up horizontally.

If you do not, you can never come here, eternally. You will be disqualified even if you have been blessed 1,000 years. Didn’t Adam and Eve originally receive the blessing of God? God willed them to be blessed, saying “be fruitful, multiply”, but they did not realize the blessing. Whose responsibility was it? It was not God’s responsibility; it was their own. It is the parents’ responsibility to bless their children, but to realize the blessing is the children’s task.

True Parents have gone through this path. You should understand this point clearly. How can you love your children if you as parents are not united? It won’t happen; it is against heavenly law. Your children must be able to say, “My mother is heavenly mother, and my father is heavenly father.” When they look at you, completely united as husband and wife, they have to see you as a physical substantiation of God. You must be the parents who can be glorified, whom your children will not trade for anything.

But if you do all kinds of bad things, cheating on others, it is absurd to think that your children and your family will prosper. The path we have to walk is a one-way street, but people are walking in four different directions. This undermines the heavenly standard.

Husband and wife bow together during pledge, right? That is horizontal unity. But Reverend Moon is vertical. There are millions of branches, but there is only one vertical axis. I do not carry on the providence haphazardly. I do it to reveal heavenly law.

Is it acceptable as a blessed Unification Church member not to do pledge as a family? The time will come when God’s will is done by a child condemning his father, saying, “Having received the blessing, why am I, your child, like this?” There will come a time when such children would even strike their father harshly. Because I know these things, I lead on the front line with unblinking eyes. Since I know what to do, I must tell you before I go.

We call this the era of the second generation. Therefore, you second generation must do better than your mother and father. The second generation must correct the mistakes of their mothers and fathers, and be prepared to straighten out the crooked branch and fulfill their responsibility.

In order to restore the nation, I have had to walk the path of indemnity alone, yet joyfully, in order to indemnify the failure to offer the nation to God. You must fulfill your portion of responsibility. I labored and was a beggar for God’s providence. If you think and work only for your own success and that of your family, you cannot stand before True Parents as children.

I will make the True Family, the 36 Couples, 72 Couples, 120 Couples, 430 Couples, extending to the nth blessing group, stand correctly. But the blessed families who fail will become nourishment for worms.

I’m a person who even disregarded his own parents. Not only did I leave my brothers and sisters, I even left my own tribe. I left everything for God. Does God have a nation? Does God have parents? I attended only God, on behalf of the nation, parents, and elder and younger brothers and sisters. Despite many complications, I didn’t get caught up with distractions. I walked my way imposingly. To straighten the way, I overcame the environment. Even today, no matter what others say, I pioneer my way and walk the path. I overcame everything, so I make this proclamation today.

Is the representation of the democratic world, communist world, and religious world a problem? Making the democratic world and communist world into one is a problem. They came this far with their minds and bodies separated, and because of this separation there has been a lot of bloodshed. Religion and government have stood face to face until now. The people in government have been beating the people of religion. The body always strikes the mind, right? They are each other’s enemy.

Religion has sacrificed a lot and shed much blood. No one knows where and when the blood you shed will bear fruit equal to its value. This is the meaning of being a true parent: because of True Parents, the religious realm and the governmental realm, as well as the democratic world and the communist world, can be united. Why? Since all conflict began with the separation of false parents, it must be brought into oneness by True Parents. This is logical. These are not just words made up for appearance’s sake. Because this is reality, we are proceeding according to the truth.

This is the basis for what we are preparing in August. We will found the Federation for World Peace and the Inter-Religious Federation for World Peace. I’m trying to finish everything in August. That is why we are promoting this. If we promote it, then Heaven will organize it. The foundation to resolve everything over which the communist world and the democratic world have been fighting is mobilized in the spirit world.

Religious leaders and politicians have been enemies until now. How much did political figures persecute and even kill religious men? They all are enemies, aren’t they? But when you look at it more deeply, they are brothers, and they want and need to be forgiven by love. There will be forgiveness, and in that realm there will unfold a movement for alliance in the open and free areas of the spirit world.

Thus we are restoring elder sonship. Territories in the spirit world are separated because the realm of religion and the realm of secularism were fighting over elder sonship. By restoring elder sonship, change can take place in the spirit world and on earth. By restoring elder sonship, which was stolen by the archangel centered on Adam, we can enter the original world, in which the world of angels can nurture Adam to maturity. That means the spirit world will not be able to use the human world. Up until now, how much did it use and take advantage? Devils have been using many good men. Satan is the one who played the trick on Adam and Eve which led to the fall. Even the Buddhists have played this kind of game, and other religious leaders as well.

Therefore, I want to unite the brothers to create elder sonship. This causes the followers of Satan to lose their power, putting them on a horizontal level. The authority of True Parents and Heaven are the only things that can rise to a higher level. Therefore, the strength people have used to exceed their rightful authority will disappear. No matter how much they try, it will fall. This can occur in Korea, both North and South. No single leader in North and South Korea can accomplish everything which needs to be done. That is why this proclamation must take place. The task must be taken care of centering on Father. Until now, false parents have been taking care of it, but True Parents put it together and proclaim this. Today is the day to proclaim this.

Fallen People Have Inherited the Blood Lineage of Satan

Today and the next two days we will feature a special reading from the speech given on the Declaration Day of God’s Eternal Blessing in 1991.

The Ceremony Of The Declaration Of God’s Eternal Blessing

I just arrived from Alaska. I am making a special visit because this time has great significance from the point of view of the dispensation.

The Meaning of July 1, 1991

The first day of July this year is not an ordinary first day of July. From the point of view of the history of the dispensation, this is the central year of the three-year course, which itself is a transitional period in history. The flow of history must now change. The democratic world and the communist world have lost their direction completely, and the religious world has also fully lost its direction. All foundations in which men took pride have been destroyed. This had to take place.

When the autumn arrives, the true fruit and false fruit will reveal their true identity. False fruit naturally will enter the fire and burn, and true fruit will be reaped. But from the perspective of the dispensation of restoration or salvation, we are not interested in many fruits. The fruit of realization which religions seek is not many but only one. Although there are many religions such as Buddhism, Confucianism and so forth, the fruit they pursue is one.

Who is the owner of that fruit? It is not some sovereign. It is not some nation. People who rule over nations cannot reap the fruit and the many religious groups cannot each reap this fruit and claim it as their own. The fruit must represent some particular religious group that represents all religious groups, which reaps the matured fruit to be received as the fruit of God.

From this perspective, what would God desire? I will not get involved in a long discussion of the dispensation of salvation being the dispensation of re-creation, but if we were to say that it is the work of re-creation, then the question is why God needs to reap the re-created fruit. Looking at it centering on heaven, it is not because the other fruit is unworthy, but God is seeking the fruit of the heavenly lineage, for the sake of establishing that blood lineage. In order to establish the blood lineage, we must connect to the tradition that can pass through the karma of love centering on God.

The History of the Restoration of the Eldest Son’s Birthright

Fallen people today have inherited the blood lineage of Satan. This is the problem. How difficult is it to restore the people cleanly back to heaven, once they inherited the lineage of Satan? Let me answer this way: heaven’s position is similar to a man who lost his beloved lover, and has to love another woman and, further, to love her son, whom someone else fathered, as his own son. The problem is how God can accept that son as his own direct heir. Frankly, it must be miserable and tormenting. Since this acceptance could not be done at once, God began from the individual position and passed through a course of tribulation involving that degree of love on the family, tribal, societal, national and world levels, persevering and overcoming everything. In this way, He has been waiting until the time He can send the Messiah.

How does the Messiah come? He comes after the purification of the blood lineage. As you know, because Cain and Abel were born based on the unity of Adam and Eve [false parents], in order to cleanse their lineage, Cain and Abel must enter the womb of True Parents and be reborn in the reversed positions of eldest son and second son. Originally, there would not have been such things as eldest-son “type” and second-son “type”. There cannot be eldest son and second son for the sake of distinguishing them [as relatively good and evil]. From the viewpoint of the dispensation of restoration, simply establishing the position of the second son as the elder son is not enough to rectify the lineage. The two must seek and enter the source of life once more. This is what happened through Tamar in the Old Testament era.

When you look superficially at the Bible, it is difficult to accept the story of Esau and Jacob. Their mother deceived her husband Isaac and her eldest son Esau to let her younger son Jacob seize the blessing. This is unacceptable even by the ethical standards of that time. It is wicked. So the question is, why was this content recorded in the Bible as an important event?

It is the same when you look at the life of Mary. A virgin gave birth to a child. What was the situation of heaven which necessitated a virgin bearing a child? Why was it necessary to send the Messiah in that manner? In order to lay that foundation, the connection was made from Esau and Jacob to Tamar, and restoration was to be done centering on the offspring of Hagar and Sarah, and then substantially history was to go forward on the national and world levels centering on Mary.

That tradition must be recognized and inherited, and the proclamation must be made that a new Messiah will appear. Centering on the period of the world level and the national level, the historical national standard is to be set by tying all these events together and proclaiming the truth behind them. Without this proclamation, the historical standard is not set.

What happened to Jesus, who came on that foundation? What would have happened if, when Jesus came, Judaism and the nation of Israel had united as Cain and Abel? How would Jesus have returned? Jesus had to enter in the position of father. In order to do that on this earth, as a resurrected, substantial being, he had to compensate for all the sacrifices made by the second sons for the sake of reclaiming heaven’s birthright given the eldest son.

The Abel view of history is that all must be divided into Cain and Abel and then into Esau and Jacob. Even after all of that, on the national level Jesus must gather all the relationships of Abel, and as the Abel-type resurrected substantial being and as the representative of the nation, he must rectify the birthright of the eldest son on the national level again. Without rectifying it, the birthright on the world level cannot be reclaimed.

What is to be done after restoring the birthright and claiming the birthright of eldest son on the world level? After restoring the birthright of eldest son on the world level, we can establish the right of parents on the world level. Unless the birthright of the eldest son is reclaimed and the course of conflict on the world level is resolved, parents cannot establish the original lineal relationship.

The Path of Restoration Through Indemnity Cannot Be Traveled Halfheartedly

After they come to the earth, the task of parents is to establish the kingdom. The messiah, who represents Heaven, should have come to this earth centered on the nation of Israel and Judaism, and overcome the Roman Empire. It is not to be overcome through conflict. Everything must be invested in order to bring about re-creation. Giving and forgetting, investing and forgetting, and in this way forgetting time and forgetting one’s life and environment in order to invest — this single-mindedness is the way that your love will last in the context of God’s will. If you assert yourself and promote yourself, what you do will not remain during the course of re-creation.

For this reason, God cannot have any regard in His mind for people or nations as He deals with the national and world foundation. He must re-create those who become like the descendants of Adam and Eve who did not fall in the Garden of Eden. He has continued to create Adam and Eve, to invest and forget and then invest and forget again repeatedly during the period of individual, family, and tribal restoration. You must understand that God has had that attitude as the foundation for the restoration of a conditional tribe, a conditional people, a conditional nation and a conditional world.

Even in the period of such conditions, it cannot be carried out at our convenience in a humanistic way according to some seemingly reasonable plan. God has not changed during the period of restoration on the individual level, family level, tribal level, society level, national level and world level. He has maintained the original spirit of love that always invests from the position of emptiness. With regard to the original nature, even with regard to evil or the realm of the devil’s powers, the form of the original love has remained unchanged.

For this reason, even Satan acknowledges before Him, “You are the only owner of the creation.” He must make that acknowledgment. How much is Satan changeable? He changes every moment and in every place, south, north, east and west. He drags the central headquarters to the east, to the west, to the south and to the north. Dragging it everywhere in the environment according to his whims, he brought a lot of confusion in the center. You must understand how miserable this was for Heaven, which had to ignore it and persevere through the course of re-creation centering on the standard of original nature.

Ladies and gentlemen, where can you find an instance in the world when, while having one’s beloved spouse stolen, one takes in the children of the snatched wife or husband and takes care of them as one’s own? Blessed families especially must be clear about this. Everything is not accomplished just because you received the blessing. The blessing is conditional.

In tune with the dawning of this age, the purpose of which is to inherit the realm of God’s heart, we must understand the toils of God, who labored to establish the historical tradition. From this perspective, you must criticize yourselves by the standard of that tradition: “I, so-and-so, have been living centering on myself.” You know this better than anyone else.

For the sake of the dispensation of restoration on the family level, God has forgotten about His position and prestige in order to carry on the battle. To accomplish the completion of restoration, He ignores His own dignity and takes in the children of the enemy and tries to make them His own children. You must understand that the world can never pay back the debt that is owed to God, who did not hate the enemy but continued such actions throughout history. If your facial features are normal and if you love something about your neat appearance, then you especially must understand that you stand on the foundation of the toil and accomplishments of a God who tried to preserve such appearance as much as possible.

The path that you will travel, in the eastern, western, southern or northern directions, is not something that will be welcomed; it will not be as if you are in a free environment. Devils are opposing us in our path from a hundred directions, creating an opposing environment. You must recognize them and overcome them.

What are you trying to bring with you? You can only go with the progressive original heart that God created; you cannot do it by a clever method or strategy. The path of the will cannot be traveled half-heartedly. It is a serious matter of life and death. This person who stands here, who founded the Unification Church, has lived his whole life like that. Such a tradition must be left behind, yet what have the blessed families done? They centered on their own families, for the sake of their own wives and children. What are they doing to educate them so that they can be better than others? When I look at the blessed families who are begging me to select their own children for the public path, I am so disheartened. From the viewpoint of the original tradition of heaven, how can this be tolerated? There are some who fall, and after the fall want to be blessed again. How can there be another blessing? The blessing is like dangling one rope down the cliff. It is you who must climb up. You must understand shame. There will come a time when I must cleanse those who received the blessing.

You must check your transgressions of the Principle by yourself, and repent. You cannot pass over the barrier by yourself. I also cannot freely cross over the barrier by myself. If I bought and blessed a piece of land, I could not sell it until now. Even when I had to, I could not sell it. Everything must be offered to God. You have sold the properties of the church according to your own desires, and so forth, haven’t you?

By concluding the ceremony of July 1, we inaugurate the time in which the True Parents can have complete freedom. Until now, I could not do as I wanted. If I could have done as I wanted, why would I have suffered? Why would I have acted so powerlessly before the world? There is a time for everything. Without fulfilling responsibility in regards to time, one cannot lift up one’s face and act freely.

In order to cross over the pass of indemnity, in order to go to the kingdom of Heaven, you cannot take along the things that you possess. You must pass all things of the world over to that side. You must cross over with new belongings. Satan is following. So, it is my desire to sell all the properties of the Unification Church, and to give them to the nation, to the people of the world, and to even sell all that you own to give it to them. This is how it is with God. You must completely cross over the pass of dispensation.

I have no need of newspapers and corporations. I needed them until now in order to provide protection against the satanic world. What I need now is the appearance of a simple traveler who can walk freely all over the plain of freedom. We must enter the territory of the kingdom of Heaven is this manner. It is a solemn thing. You must understand that the breathtaking moment is coming when we must conclude the life on earth and with a solemn heart seek the homeland.

It has been seven years since I proclaimed that you become tribal messiahs and do home church. I have been teaching you this for seven years. Is there anyone who said that he would do it, who made that determination and cried out for the sake of that action without sleeping at night? If you spent your time meaninglessly, then you must repent. Do you think of the will as some simple matter? I cannot tolerate that.

The Course of Restoration Until the Time of Hometown Providence

You must think about the position from which the original nature of heaven entered this world. Centering on the original nature, before that standard, the realm of Israel on the individual, family, tribal, racial and national level has been established. How anxious must Jacob have been until the moment he won over the archangel at the Ford of Jabbok and received the blessing of Heaven? You cannot imagine how amazing the moment was when the name of Israel was proclaimed on earth.

You are not to defile the name of Israel. Not only the name of Israel, you are not to defile the lineage of Israel. The Israelite people did defile the lineage, and Christianity emerged as a clan centering on Jesus, but debased itself. Christianity, which was centered on Jesus as the king and parent representing Israel, was defiled.

Today, centering on the Christian realm, can we win back the sovereignty which God wants, the sovereignty with which He blessed Israel? Can we reap the fruit which represents the nation? Where can we reap the fruit which represents the nation? How can we do all of these things? It is through the Messiah. We must seek the seed of the one true fruit.

Today, the western civilizations, centering on England, America and France, are Cain. Asia is taking the Abel position, yet whom are Cain and Abel seeking? They are seeking their parents. Heaven chased out Eve with two sons at her bosom. The parents are to be sought out again. Cain and Abel are seeking parents in order to receive the seed of Heaven’s pure lineage. Although Heaven has been bearing with the seed of the enemy until now, all the past must be liquidated. Putting the whole family and nation behind, overcoming the opposition while dodging tribulations and facing death, we must seek the position where we can be embraced by the true husband and receive the seed of the true son. This is the dispensation of restoration. The true seed is none other than True Parents, True Father.

True Father must prevail over the satanic realm. Now, with the name of True Father and True Parents, we can win over persecution on the individual, family, tribal, society, national and world levels. Although the free world and the communist world opposed the Unification Church and Reverend Moon, by educating the Russian leaders in Washington, in the free world, I have secured spiritual victory. Throughout history, they will regret the fact that they persecuted the Reverend Moon, not realizing the dispensational significance. How can they liberate themselves from the burden of having mistreated the most precious guest, one who was unprecedented in history? Based on the directives of one person, using the people and the environment, they did everything they could to block the Unification Church from expanding out to the world. How can they be exonerated from such evil actions?

Now the trends in the western world are changing because of Reverend Moon. The trends created by western society have passed away and the time has come for the trends to flow from Asia. For the proclamation of settlement to be made before Heaven and earth, all the opposition first had to be overcome. Then all the elements necessary for complete restoration had to be indemnified, culminating in a victorious foundation throughout both the democratic and communist worlds, fulfilling the highest standard. By doing so, the settlement of the new age can happen for the first time. To do this, I have prevailed over all persecution, starting from the individual and moving to the family, tribe, race, nation and world. Therefore, centering on the blessed families, I am sending everyone back to their hometowns.

Due to the fall, the world became evil, starting from the family. We must completely restore it. All of the Cain-type people have risked their lives to kill me by creating opposition in the family, tribe, race and world, but I have overcome all obstacles in order to get this evil world under control.

Because I have prevailed, now I can scale the world, and then I can find my country and surmount it, and then find my hometown and finally my whole family. Since that time has come for me, it is the same for everyone. But all of you are not going to my hometown. You were born in different places. How can many of you be born at once in my hometown? Since you cannot claim this, you have to build your foundation, following my example, to settle in your own hometown. That is the preaching of the tribal messiah.

The Reason I Tell You To Do Family Church

Where do you settle? Settling among your brothers in your family is not your stopping place. After you deal with your brothers in your family, you have to find your mother. With ourselves in the position of the resurrected Jesus, we have to put our parents in the position of Adam and Eve on the horizontal level, centering on the realm of liberation. In the position of Jesus on the tribal level, all the things that Father completed in the parental position connect to the horizontal foundation. Through this, the origin of all the hatred in the course of horizontal history, which was started by Satan, will be completely vanquished, because the new horizontal foundation has been completely built up.

Centering on the family, the man is the east and the woman is the west. A line has been drawn between east and west, and there is no way to change this with your own individual power. Where can we restore this? It is not in the nation. It is not in the tribe. It is in the family. Adam and Eve, centering on false love in the family, turned around 180 degrees and created hell. Today, there is no rebirth unless the Unification Church turns families around 180 degrees and they are reborn in the heavenly lineage as a new seed, engrafting into the purified lineage as children sown by parents and as new ancestors. Without that, there is no salvation at all.

Is there salvation in Christianity? There is no salvation of real life, centering on eternal love. Therefore, Father established the way of the hometown providence and proclaimed that everyone should be tribal messiahs in their hometowns.

When did I start teaching this? To do that we have to make a home church which can get the Cain and Abel problem under control. When did I tell you about home church? It was seven years ago. Did you fulfill it or not? Didn’t I tell you that you have to do home church? Did you succeed in what you said you would do? Here I am, standing in front of you, having walked that path. I never tried to retreat from anything in the satanic world. God will take care of it. Follow me and see what happens. If you do not go on that path, God will block the way for your sons and daughters. Because I know that horrible era will come, I have kept on going this way.

Even though I was staying in Korea, when there was news that I was being indicted, I immediately flew back to America. Those who leave the battlefield cannot be brave generals. If you do not become brave generals you cannot be victors, and if you do not become victors, you will not be welcomed by the nation. If you run around acting like hit and run liars, you cannot attain victory. When you accomplish, risking your life centering on a life and death situation, the nation will protect and welcome you and you will earn the right to live.

Can you offer something to God — make a donation to God — and take it back? You cannot do that, even at the cost of your life. No matter how hard your life may be, you must live for the sake of others.

Distinguished guests participating in today’s event, I am truly happy and grateful to see you at this new assembly.

What I am about to proclaim to you today is part of the course of True Parents’ tour that is to proclaim the ultimate conclusion and fulfillment of all aspects of the providence of restoration during the lifetime of the True Parents. The path taken by the True Parents shall serve as a tradition and historic example; thus, I am proclaiming that all of you should model your life course on this path, become families that pledge to inherit and fulfill the will of God that True Parents have already accomplished, and be true to this pledge.

On April 18, (2011) we celebrated our 52nd year of marriage. On that occasion, I brought to a close the era before the coming of heaven, which was marked by sin and indemnity [atonement], and proclaimed the era after the coming of heaven through which a new heaven and new earth will be realized by returning to true love.

Through this tour, I am leading a lifestyle befitting the era after the coming of heaven. Please engrave this point in your hearts.

All the blessed children in the heavenly and earthly worlds, who are related to the True Parents by blood, should keep this comprehensive and final proclamation in mind. This proclamation is being given in order to fully establish the ideal nation that comes from the incorporeal God and corporeal God, the God of Night and the God of Day, and from the ancestors of Jesus and of the True Parents.

The details of True Parents’ life course have already been disclosed and conveyed to you through my autobiography. I pray that you will all become the representatives and heirs of True Parents before the conclusion of the Cosmic Assemblies for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and for the Proclamation of the Word by God’s Substantial Self. Please take heed of my autobiography, which is a record of my life’s work to enable the True Parents to succeed in their mission during their time on this earth, and build on my achievements. Please also inherit the teachings I have bestowed upon this world. In doing so, I pray that you will surely be triumphant in your course of life.

Like the True Parents have done, you too should become heavenly bridges for all your relatives and the members of your clan that are around you, and also a God-centered leader that can guide your clan to God’s kingdom.

I ask that you take this proclamation of True Parents to heart and pledge to put it into practice.

Respected leaders from around the world, distinguished guests from home and abroad, ladies and gentlemen!

On behalf of True Parents, True Family, the Republic of Korea, and Unification Church members who are blessed throughout the cosmos (i.e., spiritual world and physical world), I sincerely welcome and express my deepest appreciation to you for coming to participate in this Cosmic Assembly for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and for the Proclamation of the Word by God’s Substantial Self.

In the past year, thousands of representatives and top leaders from 120 nations of the world have honored us with their presence on several occasions, including our Golden Wedding Anniversary and Coronation; the Legacy-of-Peace Memorial Festivals held at the United Nations headquarters building and in cities around the United States and the world; and many other significant events.

Once again, I would like to express my appreciation on behalf of all the people of the Republic of Korea and all of humankind.

Ladies and gentlemen, this is a very eventful time in God’s providence. Last year I celebrated my ninetieth birthday and took my first steps toward the hundredth year of my life. I have been blessed with a long life, beyond the average human lifespan. Last year my wife and I were also able to commemorate our fiftieth wedding anniversary. From a providential point of view, last year was not simply the year of our golden anniversary; it was also a Jubilee year.

We have fourteen children. Five have graduated from Harvard University, and among our forty-plus grandchildren several are already studying there. Moreover, a great number of good men and women from 194 nations have come to recognize and follow us as the King and Queen of Peace and the True Parents.

Throughout our lives, we have established many international organizations and institutions to promote world peace. We have invested unreservedly in many fields including inter-religious cooperation, humanitarian projects to benefit society, intercultural activities, sports, education and the media. We founded all these initiatives with the aim of promoting peace and bringing salvation to humanity. After working to succeed in all these things, some people would commend us and say that we deserve to look back and comfortably enjoy the rest of our lives. They encourage us to forget about the world situation and sit back and enjoy the successes achieved during the past ninety years!

However, my wife and I cannot look at the lives we have led in such a worldly way. We have had to complete the mission of the actual True Parents, given to us by God, who is Himself the vertical True Parent of all humankind. Now, with less than two years remaining in this mission to make God’s kingdom, Cheon Il Guk, a reality, we are leading each day of our lives with more seriousness than ever before.

Throughout my life, I have offered myself for the liberation of God, the one and only True Parent of heaven and earth, to restore to Him His rightful position as Parent, to save all human beings who suffer in the realm of death, and to return them to God’s bosom.

For this purpose I have persevered and triumphed over countless tribulations while leading the people of the world, who are living like lost and unaware orphans searching for their heavenly parent, toward the goal of global salvation. Due to the Fall, brought about by our first ancestors, people are born into the false lineage. Every one without exception wanders in darkness even now, unable to break free of Satan’s bondage. Under such circumstances, how could we be anything less than completely serious in our lives as we guide the 6.5 billion people of the world along the path toward the building of God’s kingdom on earth?

The Three Stages of Life

Ladies and gentlemen, God created us as His children. As the original, absolute, unique, unchanging and eternal being, God created human beings by breathing His love into them to endow them with a soul. If not for the Fall, we would have been able to perfect ourselves, including our spiritual self, as God is perfect, fulfill the way of absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience, and attain eternal life.

But unfortunately, human beings are living as descendants of the Fall. In order to live a perfect life, all people without exception must receive new life through the blessing from True Parents and pass through the three stages of rebirth, resurrection and eternal life. Rebirth, in this context, refers to an individual attaining new life. Resurrection is when a family and nation attain new life, and eternal life refers to all of humankind attaining perfection and living forever in God’s homeland after establishing the kingdom of heaven on earth and in the spirit world by attending True Parents, the King and Queen of Peace.

Your ancestors who are in the spirit world shall now return to this earth at this time of the True Parents, who directly govern all life and all things as the substantial entity of God who exists without form. They will go through the three-stage blessings of rebirth, resurrection and eternal life and complete the Original Divine Principle education — the education on absolute marital fidelity — organized by True Parents. Only then can they take part in the original authority granted by the Sunghwa — ascension and liberation — and attain the qualifications to become citizens of Cheon Il Guk while on earth.

We can clearly see that each person’s life goes through three stages. Everyone is conceived as a new being through the grace of God and the love of True Parents through a blessed family. The first stage of life is the nine months spent in the mother’s womb. No one is exempt from this! Whether or not we are conscious of it at the time, all of us without exception do spend nine months in our mother’s womb. Even though a woman’s womb is smaller than some rice cookers, from the perspective of a fetus, it is larger than the entire universe.

What about our birth into the second stage of our lives, which occurs on earth? How could we find words adequate to describe the struggle of a newborn baby as it is faced with a completely unfamiliar, new world? The first lonely cry of a newborn as it experiences the large and wide world that it finds upon exiting the womb also represents the promise of a one-hundred-year future, the blessing and celebration of entering a new time and space.

We have all received the blessing of birth that enabled us to live in the second stage of our lives. Although a hundred years is much longer than the nine months we spend in the womb, please do not forget that there is still a course we must follow to a higher end. Although we have all forgotten the standard of consciousness that we possessed in our mother’s womb, and though you may think that we are now enjoying our lives fully in this big, wide world with a higher standard of consciousness, there is yet one final stage of our lives, which is the way toward eternal life.

This third stage occurs in the world of eternal life, the spirit world, which we enter upon ending our life on this earth. We were originally meant to enter the spirit world having first perfected our spirits during our life on earth. It is a world that cannot be imagined by people descended from the Fall. It is a world in which we transcend time and space. Just as the fetus in his or her mother’s womb cannot imagine life on earth, we, as people living and breathing air in this earthly world, cannot easily understand the spirit world, where we will be reborn in our spiritual bodies, living and breathing true love.

Ladies and gentlemen, as people face death, they may tremble in fear and terror if they do not understand the true meaning of passing on. Although human history has continued for more than six thousand years, no one, unfortunately, has clearly taught the truth regarding death. Now, in the Last Days of history, I, as the True Parent of humankind, have been able to reveal this truth, this heavenly secret.

The Sunghwa Ascension Ceremony

Ladies and gentlemen, the word death is sacred. It is not a synonym for sadness and suffering. True Parents have created the term Sunghwa [ascension] to explain the true significance of death. The moment we enter the spirit world should be a time that we enter a world of joy and victory with the fruits born of our lives on earth. It is a time for those of us remaining on earth to send off the departed with joy. It should be a time for great celebration. We should be shedding tears of joy instead of tears of sadness. That is the way of the sacred and noble Sunghwa Ceremony, the first step the spirit of the departed takes toward enjoying eternal life in attendance to God, within His embrace. At the moment of death, our spirits should feel more excited and thrilled than a newlywed bride feels when she goes to her groom’s home for the first time.

In order to open the door for all people to experience this kind of precious eternal life, I held a Sunghwa Ceremony at the United Nations headquarters in New York on March 18, (2010) last year in honor of world leaders who had recently passed into the next world.

The following are the names of those commemorated on that occasion:

General Alexander Haig, a former U.S. secretary of state, who with the UN forces saved my life, through the bombing that liberated the North Korean Hungnam Special Labor Camp where I was imprisoned during the Korean War;

Mr. Kim Dae-jung, our former South Korean president, who won the Nobel Peace Prize;

Mr. Hédi Annabi, a Tunisian diplomat and head of the UN Stabilization Mission in Haiti, who died in the 2010 Haitian earthquake; the one hundred UN workers who died alongside Mr. Annabi;

Mr. Rodrigo Carazo Odio, a former president of Costa Rica, who is known internationally as the Peace President;

Mr. Abdurrahman Wahid, a former president of Indonesia, who gave his entire life for the sake of his great nation;

Mr. Steingrimur Hermannsson, a former prime minister of Iceland, who helped host the meeting of then Soviet President Mikhail Gorbachev and United States President Ronald Reagan, which accelerated the end of the Cold War;

Shaykh Hassan Cissé of Senegal, who is respected as a great scholar of Islamic authority; and

Mr. Laxmi Mall Singhvi of India, who is remembered as the Ambassador of Reconciliation and Peace by India’s 1.1 billion people.

There are other people whom we also remembered through this ceremony and sent to the spirit world with the Sunghwa Blessing. I’m sure you have heard about the sinking of the ship Cheonan in Korea where 46 sailors suddenly lost their lives in the course of duty. During my four-city speaking tour in Korea in April last year, my wife and I bestowed the grace of the Sunghwa Blessing on these unfortunate seamen who died.

Later, during another event at Las Vegas, I bestowed the Sunghwa Blessing on one Dr. Reiko Kawasaki, a 17th-generation descendant of Tokugawa Ieyasu, the last shogun in Japanese history, who united the Japanese archipelago in the 17th century. She was a medical doctor from Las Vegas, and recently passed away after living a life of continuous service to others. Before her passing, she played an important role for the sake of the realization of world peace by setting a foundation for the future resolution of various issues in Korea, Japan and the United States, including political and economic issues. Thus, I have included her in the list of those who received this sacred Sunghwa Blessing.

However altruistic and philanthropic people’s lives may be, none of them can be guaranteed entry into the world of eternal life without receiving the Marriage Blessing and the Sunghwa Blessing of the True Parents, Rev. and Mrs. Moon. This is because the parent-child relationship between God and humankind was severed due to the Fall of the first ancestors. Please take this point seriously.

Ladies and gentlemen, this era, when God has introduced the heavenly calendar, is a serious one. It is now the time in which all 6.5 billion of the world’s people must understand the teachings I received from heaven, which I bequeath as the True Parent who is responsible to give eternal life to all of humankind. Now is a time that you can share the good news of the coming of the True Parents throughout the entire world.

The time has come to honor and inherit the tradition and spirit of the Korean people, from which the True Parents emerged, establish the heavenly tradition, and bring about world peace by uniting all 6.5 billion people of the world with the United Nations. With the start of the heavenly calendar, please do not forget that the Sunghwa Blessing Ceremony is a sacred rite in which anyone can inherit the worldview of a holy citizen of the kingdom of heaven and celebrate God’s liberation and all humankind’s liberation.

In this way, the ideal of a family based on true love can be completed, and God and all people, the heavenly spirit world and the earthly physical world, can be completely united to usher in a reign of peace over the world. Please take this time to express your gratitude to God and True Parents for giving the keys of the Blessing Ceremony and Sunghwa Ceremony to all the world’s nations, allowing for the establishment of the traditions of God’s kingdom, Cheon Il Guk, through True Parents.

Please join me in giving a round of applause to our Heavenly Father and to True Parents for their benevolence, through which we can receive the grace of precious life without being asked for anything in return.

One Family Under God

Ladies and gentlemen, what is the path that humankind should take today? Even now tens of millions of innocent lives are being lost each year to war, disease, starvation and natural disasters that arise in all parts of the world. In every field you observe, from the individual to the collective level — whether religion, politics, education, culture or ideology — people are deeply mired in the swamp of self-centered egoism, raising walls around themselves. We now live in a world brought to ruin, where genuine communication has broken down.

Ultimately, the problems afflicting humanity can only be resolved through the worldview of One Family under God, in other words, the ideology based on true love, which my wife and I, the True Parents, have learned from Heaven and have championed and taught throughout our lives. This is the only way for humankind to find the path toward peace and happiness.

Ladies and gentlemen, we are living in a historic time of great cosmic transition. It is a time for a great cosmic revolution to change history, to unite the spiritual and physical worlds and to create the ideal kingdom of heaven that God has longed for since the beginning of time. We can no longer postpone or prolong the fulfillment of His wish. I have already proclaimed that January 13, 2013 will be Foundation Day. That day will be the actual beginning of God’s Kingdom of Cheon Il Guk. That day will be the origin. Yet, less than two years remain until then.

Therefore, it is time for all people to be humbly obedient to Heaven’s decree. An unavoidable time is upon us today when we must invest ourselves completely with a life or death commitment for these remaining two years under the guidance of the True Parents who carry out the providence on earth as the substantial representatives of God, the King of Kings. All the good spirits in the spirit world are mobilized and are already moving forward a step ahead of you.

Ladies and gentlemen, do you have any idea how much pain God suffered the moment our first ancestors, into whom God had invested His complete and unreserved devotion since time immemorial, fell and disappeared into darkness, becoming part of Satan’s lineage? Are you even remotely aware that our Heavenly Father — who endured tens of thousands of years of excruciating heartache so great that His bones shed tears and His flesh quivered — had to go through the long, dark tunnel of indemnifying the human Fall in order to save His lost children? How many of you have spent days and nights in tears, yearning to comfort our Father in Heaven?

The Mission of the Korean People

All people of the Christian faith recognize that God sent His true son Jesus Christ to earth two thousand years ago to save humankind. However, Jesus suffered a miserable fate. The leaders of Judaism and the people of Israel were supposed to receive Jesus as the Messiah and follow him with absolute faith, absolute love and absolute obedience. They should never have allowed Jesus’ crucifixion to take place. He suddenly left this world, leaving behind the words, It is finished. Yet these words apply to spiritual salvation only, and he promised to return.

Ladies and gentlemen, God quietly raised and prepared the Korean people over a period of thousands of years. After two thousand years of preparation, His labor has finally borne fruit with the Second Coming of Christ on the far distant Korean Peninsula. The Korean people have, from long ago, served God with the sense that He is their original ancestor and that they are descended from Heaven. They have referred to Him as The Honored One, that is, Hana-nim, and attended Him as the Lord (Creator of night and day). Thus it is, that the origin of all numbers lay in one and two. Because Koreans attend such a God as their original ancestor, the spirit of interdependence, mutual prosperity and universally shared values is alive in the soul and tradition of the Korean people. They have maintained themselves over five thousand years of history, yet not once have they invaded or plundered another nation or people. The spirit of benefiting all mankind still flows in the veins of the Korean people. The spirit of filial piety, fidelity, and loyalty, which are the fundamental virtues of human life, are still alive and breathing in Korean history. These values can be found in the men and women of Korea and reflect the pride and spirit of the Korean people.

I have inherited such traditional values as the true filial piety exemplified in the folk tale Shimcheong, about a devoted daughter who offered her life so that her blind father could see; the profound love and fidelity displayed by Choonhyang, who overcame the fear of death in order to keep the promise she had made to her husband; and the unbreakable loyalty exhibited by Admiral Yi Soon-shin, who gave his life to save his nation and people despite being abandoned by his king and other leaders. These lofty Korean values and traditions are not just matters of historical chance. Based on these values, Heaven has prepared this people; this was all part of the providence of creating a foundation to send the returning Messiah. On the foundation of such preparation, and riding on the energy of this peninsula, I finally came, having received Heaven’s seal as the True Parent of humankind and the king of kings.

The Path Humankind Should Take

Distinguished Guests, your Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen:

The path that humanity must now take is clear. What would give you cause to hesitate in the face of the D-Day that Heaven has revealed through us, the True Parents? There are now only six hundred days remaining. Heaven’s blessings will be with you on your ambitious and busy course.

If you view the flow of history through eyes that focus on God’s providence, you can see that the changes of the times can be broadly classified into three stages. First was the nature-centered era, a time when instinctual feelings, materialism and a closeness to animals and the things of creation were prevalent. Next came a human-centered era when people’s knowledge, feelings and emotions took precedence and dominated the world.

However, these eras were transitional. They were courses of preparation necessary in order to enter the era in which people could rid themselves of their fallen nature, return to their original selves and live as one united family where they attend God as their father. When that happens we will enter a God-centered era, the final stage in which human beings who know and feel God’s Heart and Will follow the path of living for the sake of others. They will do this through establishing an absolute standard on the foundation of purifying themselves, both inside and out, through the holy Blessing Ceremony. This is the time of opening up the era of God’s kingdom, Cheon Il Guk, a time in which we can return to the heart of the one true God. Please engrave this point on your hearts.

Once the actual era of Cheon Il Guk begins, the spiritual and earthly worlds will be connected and brought into oneness, and all things will be governed under the Union of the Spiritual and Physical World’s Association, which will be established on earth for the first time. Moreover, the providence will be carried out according to heavenly law and the heavenly way. Elections conducted in a purely secular fashion will disappear from the face of the earth. All people will become one family through cross-cultural marriage and the World Peace Marriage Blessing; and we will enjoy tranquility and true love in happiness during the sacred reign of peace. Let me say it again: this day is drawing near.

As part of preparing for that time, on February 14, (2010) last year I proclaimed to all of heaven and earth the start of the new heavenly calendar. The Gregorian calendar and Lunar calendar shall now stand in the positions of Cain and Abel and serve the role of supporting the Heavenly calendar, by which we will record and indicate the progress of God’s providence.

You must all now engrave True Parents’ teachings onto your bones and practice them in your life. We have no choice. If we do not prepare now, we will surely be left behind. We should learn from the courage and fortitude of the white-necked cranes that fly across the Himalayas — which are more than seven thousand meters high — in preparation for winter.

My Final Words for Humankind

True Parents have already prepared the last words I will give to humankind. These have been prepared based on my triumphs over six or seven life-or-death situations, including six periods of unjust imprisonment. I am leaving behind eight textbooks and teaching materials for humankind to use for all eternity. Altogether, these are published in almost a thousand volumes.

They are:

The Sermons of the Rev. Sun Myung Moon,
Exposition of the Divine Principle,
Cheon Seong Gyeong [Heavenly Scripture],
The Family Pledge,
Pyung Hwa Shin Gyeong [Messages of Peace],
True Families — Gateway to Heaven,
Owner of Peace and Owner of Lineage, and
World Scripture.

These are textbooks you will have to read and study even after you go to the spirit world. They are not just teachings that come from the mind of one person; they are textbooks and teaching materials that teach the heavenly way that God has granted to His suffering children for their salvation.

You should now set up the Hoon Dok Hae study tradition in your families using the books I have mentioned. That is the tradition where three generations of a family start each day by reading Heaven’s word, and lead a life of practicing what they read, with a new heart. Let’s create a world where people in the spirit world and the earthly world can both attend True Parents at the same time, and read the word on the heavenly path together.

Once this happens, no matter how hard Satan may try to worm his way in, to infest your lineage, once he encounters the Hoon Dok Hae tradition he will find no room to move. If a family is aligned with God as at high noon, where no shadow is cast and still does not receive God’s blessings, who then could ever be deserving of them? When such heavenly families fill the earth, the world will automatically become the heavenly kingdom on earth and in the eternal spirit world, fulfilling the vision of One Family Under God.

Ladies and gentlemen, two years ago, my memoirs, “As a Peace-Loving Global Citizen,” an honest and candid account of my life, was published. Through this book I share how I discovered God’s will for humankind and the path that we, as God’s children, should follow. My life has been a typical model of the saying, If at first you don’t succeed, try, try, and try again. I have as much faith in this book as in the Hoon Dok textbooks and teaching materials I have mentioned. For this reason, I recommend it to you, believing that it will show you how to lead your lives according to true principles. It does not subtract or add anything to the ninety years of my life, which I have led under Heaven’s decree. I pray you will carefully read this articulation of true love and find great inspiration.

I have already mentioned that a life of vertical noon-time alignment casts no shadow. If we can all shine as we live such glowing lives, there will be no chance for the shadow of sin to be cast. Those who receive the light will be indebted to the light. I pray that we can now wipe away the tears of people in misery and poverty, and lead an illuminated life of eternal true love that dissipates all darkness.

Proclamation of the Era of the Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind

Ladies and gentlemen, last year in Las Vegas, there was a special proclamation centered on God that was given by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind on two separate days — one part at 2:20 AM on the 8th day of the 5th month of the Heavenly Calendar (June 19, 2010) and the other at 3:25 AM, on the 15th day of the 5th month of the Heavenly Calendar (June 26, 2010).

The number 3 from 3:25 AM represents the three eras from the saying Success comes at the third attempt. It also symbolizes the Old, New and Completed Testament ages. Twenty-five minutes, or the number 25, is a quarter of one hundred. The True Parents have achieved ultimate unity and offered and proclaimed the era of God’s full transcendence, full immanence, full authority and omnipotence upon the standard of perfection, completion and conclusion.

Furthermore, with the Sunghwa Ceremony for former United States Secretary of State General Alexander Haig, I proclaimed that the ceremony for the victory of the first, second, and third Israels, which completed the ceremonies for rebirth, resurrection and Sunghwa during my lifetime, was transferred to Korea.

Korea will now become God’s homeland and hometown. Declaring that Korea is God’s homeland, the World Assembly for the Settlement of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind and for the Proclamation of the Word by God’s Substantial Self was completed in Korea on July 8, and again in ceremonies in the United States, representing Christianity, the second Israel, and in Jerusalem. Through these proclamation ceremonies, all the borderlines in the entire cosmos have been abolished. Consequently, centering on God, heaven and earth shall exist eternally, night and day, under God’s reign and with the support of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind.

Distinguished guests, at this serious and important time, a revolutionary and cosmic change must now take place in your lives. In light of this let us summarize the message Heaven has given to us today.

First, all blessed families should attend God at the center of their families and every day carry out Hoon Dok education, which can completely unite parents and children. In other words, you should thoroughly teach the Divine Principle, the textbooks and teaching materials True Parents have bequeathed, True Father’s autobiography, and absolute marital fidelity taught through the ‘Original Divine Principle.’

Second, Heaven has permitted the grace of the authority of Sunghwa for rebirth and resurrection to be bestowed on the family unit. Here, a requisite condition is the complete unity between parents and children. In other words, you must establish the standard for absolute parents and absolute children, and establish an absolute family in the normal course of events.

Third, humankind has moved out of the authority of the era of restoration through indemnity, thanks to the grace of True Parents who have suffered hardships through which they sweat blood. Therefore, do not forget the fact that during True Parents’ lifetime we all have the responsibility to liberate families, tribes, peoples, nations and the world in which God can dwell, from the authority of hell. Now that the era of restoration through indemnity has ended, what kind of era is dawning? The reign of tranquility and prosperity in the victorious authority centered on God and True Parents shall be eternal.

Fourth, we are now entering the era of the authority of God’s direct dominion. Ladies and gentlemen, I have said that less than two years remain until the D-day proclaimed by Heaven. I beg that you inscribe in your hearts the fact that we have entered the era of the authority of the cosmic Sabbath in which your direct family members in the spirit world shall return to the earth to receive the Original Divine Principle education, and where eight generations will live together in a single family. Aju!

Ladies and gentlemen, these concluding remarks explain the broad outline of all my endeavors. They bring to a close this rally that is being held for the religious circles, the earth, the spirit world, physical world, and Cain and Abel-type world, in order to finalize what I, the Rev. Moon, have achieved through the course of my entire life with God, the master of the spirit world and physical world. This is not something that could have appeared in history before now.

We have come to today’s assembly through the starting point of the Seoul Assembly that represented both Korea that will become God’s homeland; and the central nation of America, through the Washington DC-New York Assembly. These have been held in order to establish the realm of victory, and to make headlines that summarize my life course, which decisively brings to a conclusion the realm of victory, creating a world in which God, completely victorious in the providence, is liberated and completely freed through the life course of the True Parents; and in order to bring perfection, completion and conclusion to the era after the coming of heaven.

True Parents’ Special Instructions:

(I am conveying the following instructions to the 387 ambassadors of the 194 Abel UN member nations and 193 Cain-type UN member nations, to boon-bong-wangs and Ambassadors for Peace, to the presidents and national leaders of each nation who are present in Washington DC/New York, and to all of heaven and earth.)

Establishment of the New Tribal Messiah Global Federation for Peace in the New World:

1. Centering on Hwang Sun-jo, the President of UPF-Korea, the Sunghwa Ceremonies for the realm of the tribal messiah and for the first, second and third Israels were to be completed between October and December 31, 2010. The three-day ceremony and indemnity stick ceremony (of the Blessing) are also to be completed. Korea is God’s homeland and hometown; because it is True Parents’ nation, we should have all the people of Korea take part in these ceremonies.

2. Those who have accepted the responsibility of boon-bong-wang or Ambassador for Peace should hold and complete spiritual–physical world Blessing Ceremonies at the same time throughout the world, by D-day.

3. The ancestors from the realm of the original lineage and people belonging to the heavenly realm who received the Blessing centering on True Parents — including Adam and Eve, the Moon clan, boon-bong-wangs and Ambassadors for Peace, each nation’s president and leader of the national assembly — should realize the realm of oneness embodying all of God’s all-transcendent, all-pervading, all-capable and omnipotent qualities.

4. With October 14 sixty years ago as the beginning point, now, after sixty-years of restoration through indemnity, and in relation to the three days of the 14th, 15th and 16th day of the 10th month, by the heavenly calendar, in the 10th year of Cheon Il Guk, this proclamation rally being held on the 17th day of the 10th month by the heavenly calendar [November 22], in the first year of Cheon-gi (2010), is one of perfecting, completing and concluding the final stages of all the proclamations given in heaven and on earth up until the D-day proclamation of True Parents, and which correspond with the documented record of proclamations True Parents have made.

5. True Parents’ proclamation at the Assembly to Proclaim the Substantial Word and the Era of the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind — the Washington DC-New York Assembly, the Hoover Dam Assembly in Las Vegas and the Seoul Assembly in Korea, which is becoming God’s homeland and hometown — signifies the ultimate perfection, completion and finalization of the providence. This mission must be completed within the next one year and eight months, by the D-day designated by True Parents.

6. In this way, Korea, which gave birth to the True Parents, will be perfected, completed and finalized as God’s homeland and hometown. Centered on President Lee Myung-bak, who represents the governments of Korea (south and north), which is God’s homeland and hometown, former US President George Bush and US President Obama, whose positions correspond to the presidents of the Cain-type UN and Abel-type UN, and all the presidents and citizens who participated in the G20 meetings must unite to bring about the success of these rallies and perfect, complete, conclude and offer them according to True Parents’ heavenly decree. If any among these are unable to participate, True Parents will select others and bring them to perfect that work in their place.

Advent of the Era of the New Substantial Image

Ladies and gentlemen,

As I believe you have seen in the video today, we are now in a time where God is concluding the providence and harvesting its fruits in the final stages. Not long ago, Prime Minister Danny Philip of the Solomon Islands personally visited True Parents. He was deeply moved by God’s Word, and before he left, pledged and promised that his nation would become an ally nation of True Parents. He showed his resolve to become God’s laborer and a soldier who stands in the frontline of the providence. In Nepal at this very hour, Original Divine Principle lectures received from True Parents are being broadcast by a national television station in Nepal, to educate all its people.

Activities centered on the United Nations are now on track and gaining speed. The Women’s Federation for World Peace, which my wife and I founded, has been recognized for initiating activities that are in line with the UN’s founding purpose and goals. Thus, it is becoming recognized as one of the top tier organizations among the 3,400 plus NGOs registered with the UN. Furthermore, WFWP has achieved outstanding results in its activities promoting women’s rights, and solving problems of poverty and education for children. WFWP has already been awarded for its work on a number of occasions.

Recently, control of The Washington Times, which had been taken from my hands by trickery, has now been taken back. If this isn’t a miracle, I don’t know what is.

Top officials from the Cain-type realm, from the black and white races, will unite to create a federation centering on The Washington Times board of directors in order to promote the truth of God’s will for His homeland and hometown and to protect the nation of God’s sovereignty.

Ladies and gentlemen, the world is now revolving centering on True Parents. Historically, Korea and Japan, Japan and the United States, the United States and Russia and other such nations have been enemy nations. The people from these nations will also take part in the cross-cultural marriage blessing on a nationwide scale in order to eradicate the fallen lineage received from Lucifer and inherit the new heavenly lineage.

The ongoing project to build undersea tunnels between Korea and Japan and across the Bering Strait, which I have proclaimed to all the world, will be spearheaded by religious leaders on a worldwide scale and completed in attendance to our liberated God.

In this world, atheism and communism, which deny the existence of God, will be discarded, paving the way to building the world that God originally envisioned, where all people can freely communicate in harmony.

The historical conflict and strife experienced by the four great representative kings — that is to say, the God of Night, the God of Day, the King of Kings, and True Parents — and which arose because the first ancestors fell, has finally been completely resolved by the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind. A world where all people are equal and all nations become like brother nations to create one family under God is being created right before your eyes.

I pray that all of you will become victors who are part of this historic and providential revolution. May the heavenly fortune that flows through the True Parents of Heaven, Earth and Humankind be with you all.

How would you find me if I were on
a far away star? You would set the direc-
tion automatically with a loving heart.
When you set the right direction and say,
“Teacher, Father!” it will immediately
strike the core. In fact, you would rush
to where True Parents were even if I told
you not to come. This is the True Parents’
ideology of love. It will click into the right
direction and you will know immediate-
ly. You should therefore live your daily
life with a heart that longs for your True
Parents until you die. You should live a
life in which you can shed tears for your
True Parents before you leave this world.
Only then will you enter the Kingdom of
Heaven after you pass away. This is a basic
principle. Because this has not happened,
True Parents have come in order to rem-
edy the situation. True Parents’ efforts to
revive this movement will lead you to the
heavenly kingdom. (124-41, 1983.1.16)

Cheong Seong Gyeong 1279

A wedding ceremony signifies the
realization of love, as well as the bestow-
al of the rights of creation and domin-
ion. (76-46, 1975.1.26)

The Holy Wedding Blessing Cere-
mony is not simply a wedding through
which a man and woman come together
and form a family. Until now, all wed-
dings were centered on the people get-
ting married, but our wedding ceremo-
ny is a significant condition necessary to
indemnify history. Therefore, in return-
ing joy to God, we conduct the ceremo-
ny solemnly and splendidly. The Divine
Principle clearly explains to us that our
wedding ceremonies alleviate the grief
of God caused by the Fall of Adam and
Eve, and establish the true standard of
husband and wife, which Jesus was not
able to achieve. (22-212, 1969.2.4)

Home Church Is The Base Of The Kingdom Of Heaven

The year of 1979 is finally over. The year of 1980 has dawned with great hope and glory. In 1980 we can find a very important number, eight. As we learn in the Divine Principle, the number eight denotes a new beginning and new hope. The Unification Church just welcomed the 1980’s. Now what is the goal and direction of our movement? This year our job is to undertake substantially the home church providence.

From the providential point of view, the third seven-year course would have been turned entirely into the home church crusade. The goal and slogan I gave on the first day of 1979 was “Home Church and the Completion of the Kingdom of Heaven.” The new slogan for 1980 is “Home Church is the Base of the Kingdom of Heaven.”

This slogan shows us that without home church the Kingdom of Heaven cannot become a reality. What kind of Kingdom of Heaven are we talking about? The Kingdom of Heaven is where there is rest and Sabbath, where there is true joy and happiness. When you take that rest do you do it all by yourself? You want to enter the kingdom together with your wife, with your children and parents, with your tribe, your nation and the world. No matter how much you are longing and ready to take Sabbath, if your parents are not in a position to take Sabbath with you, or your wife or children, then certainly you cannot very well take rest. In the Unification Church you are proud of having True Parents. If you are serving them but they are not in a position to take rest or have peace then would you take a rest all by yourself?

Yesterday I gave a very long, very detailed sermon about the position of Cain, and how Abel can win over Cain. In 1945, approximately 35 years ago, Korean Christianity should have taken the true Cain’s position to accept Abel and to be accepted by Abel and united together. Then at that time a true foundation of peace and a foundation for true Sabbath could have been established with the True Parents in the center on the family level, tribal level, and national level. Certainly that would have gone on to the worldwide level. If that had been done in 1945, then finally there would have been a place for the true, ultimate peace, happiness and Sabbath. Everything would have been done on the level of nation and world. If at that time the nation where I initiated this movement had accepted me then the national level of a foundation of peace would have been erected. Then the entire world would have seen a model or prototype and it could easily have followed.

The one golden opportunity came in those years around 1945. However, Christianity failed to unite with the True Parent, that revolutionary name of the new age. Because of that the 2,000-year old Christian heritage could not be fulfilled in the end. Therefore, that 2,000-year old foundation was broken into pieces without being fulfilled, and God had to rebuild the entire foundation through the Unification Church, piece by piece from scratch. Certainly that would not have been necessary if Christianity had accepted the Providence.

Of course, I as an individual could not all of a sudden initiate a nationwide crusade or movement. I had to start from the family level. The Unification Church has the ultimate goal of building the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth. What is the basic component of that kingdom? The family is the building block of the Kingdom of Heaven. There a husband and wife become parents and together they become the foundation.

Because Korean Christianity failed to accept me in 1945, I went on with the arduous task of winning our own foundation after fourteen long years of struggle. At that time I erected the foundation upon which Mother and I could be installed as the first True Parents in the history of man. In other words, by then I had established a bulwark strong enough that the opposition of the entire nation and of all Christianity could not break it down; no matter what, our movement would have enough strength to sustain itself and still go on.

Even though Mother was installed as True Mother, we could not live as a happy family right away. A three-year period of purification and separation was necessary, a period which was very important prior to moving on to the next stage of the dispensation. In order to go into a second seven-year course, all conceivable indemnity must be paid on a family level. This first seven-year course was the period of erecting the foundation upon Mother’s installation, and the period in which Mother was to be perfected as the True Mother. It was the period of growth for Mother herself.

As you know, the human fall came in the perfection level of the growth stage. Therefore, the seven year course Mother and I went through together was the period to cross through the growth stage to perfection stage, the period in which I would restore and install Parents Day, Children’s Day, and Day of All Things. The most important condition Mother and I made during the seven-year course was that no matter what difficulties or obstacles and hardships came upon us, we would not complain. We would not even feel discouraged inside, or anguished or rebellious in any way.

As you can see, it was God’s method to utilize Satan to give Father and Mother the worst kind of test and tribulation. This is the way I had to be hardened and proven to be the True Parent. For Mother too, Satan created incredible instances in the first seven years, one after another, in which Mother could easily have given up and said, “Father, you are too great a husband and I simply cannot follow you. I’m not worthy of you, so let me pack and go.” She could very well have done that many times during those seven years.

To make things worse, when was Mother was already so heavily burdened I was not a comforting husband. I started out as the worst kind of cruel husband. That was the standard I set at the beginning because that’s the way I also tested Mother, even harder than Satan. Knowing that Satan was going to test her, I tested her myself first. That was my purpose. Even though I tested her worse than Satan, stile some hint of purpose behind it could be understood by her. That made it easier to bear than Satan’s tests. In this way we became closer and closer for 3 1/2 years, then another 3 1/2 years.

After those seven years, our victorious foundation proved in front of God and in front of Satan that I was an invincible husband and that Mother was an invincible wife. No matter how difficult Satan’s standard was, God was justified in saying that we had passed the test. The many other blessed couples who came knew that the True Parents had set the true standard, and they followed that standard by uniting with them and serving them without a word of complaint. By doing so, they could obtain the same degree of perfection.

During the seven-year period I had blessed many couples, and they could easily have exclaimed to me, particularly the women, “I just don’t understand you. What kind of husband are you ? How can you treat your wife like that?” But these blessed couples who passed the test know one thing: no matter how many things I did that they didn’t understand, they were at least sure that I was absolutely God-centered, and whatever I did was for God. The 36 couples, 72, 120, and 430 couples were blessed within that seven-year period, and they knew one way or another what a difficult path Mother and I trod. Since they knew what kind of difficulties we had to overcome, they could not complain.

After that seven-year dispensation the time finally came to set up God’s Day. Only after the seven-year course was completely secured did I declare God’s Day. From the original point of view God’s Day should actually have come first, then Parents Day and Children’s Day and Day of All Things. But because of restoration, all other conditions had to be ready before God’s Day could be set up. That was finally done on January 1, 1968. Since God’s Day was declared victoriously in 1968, everything is restored and celebration begins with God’s Day. The first seven-year course was the time in which the True Parents were concretely established and upon which God’s Day, Parents Day, Children’s Day and Day of All Things could be restored to God.

In the meantime, the national level of opposition and persecution against our movement was gradually decreasing. Upon the victorious foundation of the first seven-year course our movement transcended persecution, and whether it came from the government or the Christian community, it didn’t hinder us at all. This is because I and my family took all the indemnity for the sake of our movement. Adam should be the one who stands like a tower to receive the persecution coming from the entire nation. That is the Adam role and I never hesitated to take it. The first seven-year course was for restoration of Adam and Eve, and it has been completed. The True Parents were installed and the True Family has been declared in heaven and earth.

The second seven-year course is the one in which the blessed couples had to take a major role. Their responsibilities were to teach the government and nation how to treat the families of the nation. At the same time. as the families of the nation’ they are teaching other families how to serve the nation. This second seven-year course was the period of the total mobilization of the blessed couples. All the blessed couples in Korea and some blessed couples abroad were mobilized to take up the torch for the second seven-year course, and in 1970 I ordered every blessed couple to leave their family. The wives took up the front-line role and I sent them out. Why? Because the women had to experience what True Mother experienced before them. They had to go the same route to learn that particular tribulation.

When the heavenly order came to leave their homes for the mission, then their loved ones-their husbands and children-could become the enemies of the mission. Because the husbands were in a position close to their wives, they could easily try to dissuade them from going. Then they would be the first ones to block the heavenly dispensation and actually be the worst Satans. The best way for the wives to overcome such a temptation would be to regard their husbands as their enemies. By thinking in that way it wouldn’t be painful to deny them and go out. By thinking of her husband as her loved one it would hurt a wife to refuse him, but by thinking of him as her enemy she was in a position where nothing could stop her. Then she could obey absolutely.

Each mother had to look at her children as her second enemy for the same reason. Then even if the children cried out and tried to stop her from leaving them it would not hurt her and break her heart. By doing so, if Satan was trying to invade then her standard would block him and protect the children. This is why the Bible teaches that the closest members of your family are your worst enemy in the last days. We must fulfill that scripture in the Unification Church. These are not just empty words. This is the actual history I am explaining to you.

All the blessed mothers in those days were given their marching orders and nothing would stop them. They decided to give up their children and leave them with someone else to be cared for. In this country you have many welfare organizations, but in Korea there is no such thing. So they wrote short letters and left their children with their unwelcoming relatives, knowing they would be criticized. Their letters said, I “I am not abandoning my child. I love him, and I will come back in three years. Will you please take care of I him until I come back?”

You can imagine what the parents, in-laws and the public would say. They bitterly criticized those women and criticized me and our movement. People said, “Reverend Moon put those couples together and now he’s separating them. He never even thought of their children. What kind of cruel man is he?” There was no direction from which criticism didn’t come. But during those seven years the one group of people who adamantly refused to complain against me was the Unification Church husbands and wives. They looked like victims but they welcomed the mission, and even the children sometimes said, “Mommy and Daddy, go ahead and don’t worry about me.” How could Unification Church couples be so strong? Because there was a living example in front of them, Mother and I, who had gone through much more tribulation. Compared to that suffering, the blessed couples knew that their own suffering was small.

The major members of the Unification Church knew that incredible opposition would come to them, but they knew that the most accusation and criticism would go to me. They felt very protective of me, wanting to shield me and not let my name be tarnished. That’s why the Unification Church core foundation has become tight and strong. Therefore, the love of God is coming to my family and will be connected to the blessed couples. That inseparable bond between True Parents and true blessed couples was made under overwhelming adverse conditions.

The first six months were the worst period. Throughout the entire nation there was criticism and negative publicity. People knew all about our movement and how our young couples were leaving their children and going to the front line. As time went on, people knew they were missionaries of the Unification Church and then they asked, “Aren’t you the women who left their families behind? Why did you do that?” Then the true testimony was given. “Yes, we love our children and we love our husbands, but we love this nation, the people of the world and God more. We want to demonstrate by the most painful experience of leaving these children behind that we want to save this nation. We love this nation and people more than we love our own children.”

After one year these people who were negative began to weep together with our people, praying together with them and coming to help. Even without knowing the contents of the Divine Principle they wanted to be with them and be supportive. After two years passed public opinion was unanimous that if all the Korean people loved their country as much as Unification members, then indeed the nation would be saved. Furthermore, no matter how great the communist threat would become, it could be stopped. That was the conviction of the people.

What about the children who were left behind? During the first two years the people thought they were a burden to everyone. Villagers would talk about the Moonie children and say, “Their mother and father are crazy.” Two years later what happened? Everyone wanted to come help, wanting to take care of the children for a few days to do something for that young couple before they came back. They volunteered to serve those children in some way. Even the Korean government looked at what our people were doing in every corner of the countryside.

The Christians who were traditionally very negative toward our movement thought they had a golden opportunity to criticize Unification Church and called me all kinds of names, but two years later the villagers and common people stood up and said to those critics, “Are you true Christians? We found God in the Unification Church members. They stood up and fought for us. What kind of Christians are you?”

In other words, during these three years of tribulation unity was made with the people, and even unity between the government and the people was enhanced by our heroic actions. By doing so a condition was established: by our members’ abandoning their children for three years, all other people recognized their sacrificial work and came to value and respect our movement. Then they wanted to do something to help the children who were left behind. Thus, through the children a link was made between our members and other churches and the common people. That formed a condition for God’s blessing to flow not only to the Unification Church but through us to all the people, even to negative Christians and people who criticized us.

The providence of the second seven-year course was such that I wanted to save the nation by sacrificing my own beloved family. That was the theme of it.

It also made restitution for Jesus’ time, when incredible opposition came from Judaism and the Jews who ultimately crucified Jesus. By offering the family as a sacrifice on the altar of God and going from the position of receiving the worst criticism to the position of welcome, a base was formed for the restitution of Jesus’ ministry as well. Our members in Korea have successfully fulfilled the second seven-year course through their own portion of responsibility.

This was why I could come out of Korea for the worldwide dispensation in the third seven-year course. Furthermore, the dispensation of God was pushed three years ahead of time. Always the providential schedule has been delayed, but for the first time in history I could advance the schedule and come to this country in 1971. At the onset of 1972 my global ministry could begin. The remarkable thing was that during the initial period of my ministry in 1972,1973 and the middle of 1974, the Christians of America gave me an open-armed welcome and red-carpet treatment, even though Korean Christianity failed to accept me in 1945.

America is a nation of people from around the world, and American Christianity represented world Christianity. By America’s initial acceptance, God was in a position to forgive Korea’s mistake. By doing so the condition was sustained that God could still give blessing to the entire world through America. By the end of 1974 I had won an unprecedented heavenly victory here in America, receiving the total welcome of the American people and the Christian churches. I visited every state at least once, and visited many major states several times, sweeping the country and kindling a spiritual revolution. I received around 850 welcoming proclamations and honorary citizenships and citations. Even Jimmy Carter gave me one when he was governor of Georgia.

Upon the foundation of this worldwide victory I returned to Korea with honor and with strength to truly go on the offensive. My goal was to teach strongly the Korean Christians and government who so adamantly opposed me. What was the situation at that time? At first the Christian churches and government united together against me, but then after 2 1/2 years what happened? There was a big fight between the Korean government and the Christians. I was very strong in saying that the government must be strong to stop the aggression of communism. The Christians thought they could confront and criticize the government, but when the Unification Church stepped in between they were forced to fight the Unification Church instead.

This was the reversal of the relationship between Rome, Israel and Jesus 2,000 years ago when the Roman government sided with the government of Israel to crucify Jesus. Today Christianity is in the position of Judaism at that time, and the Korean government in the position of Israel. God wanted the government of Rome and Israel to support Jesus and stand up against Judaism if necessary, but exactly the opposite situation occurred. 2,000 years ago Jesus was not accepted by Judaism, by Israel, and certainly not by Rome. America today is in the position of the Roman Empire 2,000 years ago, and in 1974 America welcomed me. Then when I returned to Korea the government welcomed me, and instead of uniting with the Christian churches who were attacking me the government stood together with us. That was historical restitution.

No matter how external America’s unity with me was at first, this nation set a condition of welcoming me. Therefore, with that power I could go back to Korea victoriously, no matter how much Christian opposition existed there. Opposition is mounting here in America only because American Christians are affected by the Korean churches. Also there is agitation by communists internationally, people who know me as an archenemy of communism. The new opposition grew because of the planning between American churches and Korean churches, as well as conspiracy between communistic elements. The United States government and the media have been exploited by these forces. Initially, however, there was a pure welcome, and because of that condition America can still be saved.

Furthermore, no matter how much people may scheme to ruin us, we have built up enough strength already to not only resist but win over them. I know that no matter how much Christians come against the Unification Church, they are going to be defeated. No matter how much the communists come against us, they are going to be defeated. Once the necessary foundation is made, we can declare the new age, and now, no matter what the people say, a new age has dawned.

When I initiated the three seven-year courses there seemed to be a stone wall blocking us, with one obstacle after another. At that time many early members thought there was no hope, no way to break through all the barriers. Everyone was discouraged, but what happened? After winning each incredible battle and completing each of the seven year courses’ it seemed almost as though a big construction company was going out in front of me, laying a super highway. This is why after the victory at Washington Monument I could declare that Moscow is our next goal.

No matter how much the international communists struggle for world conquest, they cannot proceed according to their own schedule. Their decline is inevitable, and they will have worse internal arguments and splits among themselves. Russia and China fight even more bitterly with each other than either of them fights with the United States right now. The communists thought they had the one unified ideology which could bring world conquest, but now they are busy fighting among themselves.

I can say very clearly that without the Unification Church America has no hope. The free world has no vision of hope without Unification Church. Furthermore, the Unification Church can go on and truly liberate communism. No one except the Moonies has the ideology or the power of love to do that.

I have made a most important declaration: all the historical debts of the past have been paid. Now the time has come when I can focus completely on building. The time has also come that Mother and I can take some rest. At the outset of this talk I said the Kingdom of Heaven is the place of Sabbath and true peace. No satanic power has any right or condition to claim True Parents’ family or the Unification Church movement. We are above their accusation.

The final role the American movement will take in addition to what the True Parents and the Korean and Japanese blessed couples have done is a 2 1/2-year condition by the blessed couples. I want America to go ahead on a global scale and show in front of God and Satan the determination of the American blessed couples. That’s why I have asked the American blessed wives to go to the CARP movement for 2 1/2 years. It is the final condition the women are going to undertake in America. If this final condition by the American blessed couples is fulfilled then even if you volunteer for such things there won’t be any opportunity. This is the final chance. After that the home church crusade will be wide open and home ministry will be our way of life. In other words, you will not face the indemnity Mother and I went through. You won’t have to go through the same condition the Korean blessed couples went through in those harsh years.

Now everything you do is building a lasting accomplishment that will become your tower. The men and women going out into home church will be harvesting and bringing things in. We are moving across the boundary. We no longer belong to the old age or old territory. We are moving into a new territory and a new era. That is why I told you that home church is the base of the Kingdom of Heaven. We can now build the physical kingdom with our own hands. In the past the Unification Church missionaries endured incredible situations. Your elder brothers and sisters were kicked and spat at, and even killed, but that era is now over. You don’t have to face that. When you speak the Divine Principle you will meet people anxiously waiting for the message and you shall be regarded as their savior. The people are waiting for you to come.

This afternoon Tiger Pak reported that 150 brilliant college students came to the CARP week-long workshop in Florida. He reported that those students were really excited when they heard our lecturers teach the Principle and they look like real Moonies. I told Tiger Pak, “Don’t you know that it ought to be that way? Don’t you know God’s timetable? It’s just about that time for that.”

You are in the same position. Just concentrate and totally unite and do things beyond the standard I established. All you have to do is try to cross over the boundary of the worst persecution I have been receiving. If you exert your energy trying to bring yourself over the line of my own suffering, once you go one little step beyond it the entire spirit world will come down upon you. A new horizon will be wide open.

Home church will only be difficult at the beginning. The first several steps will be difficult but try to cross over the point of persecution by comparing it with my energy at that particular point. When you go just one more step over that point everything will become easy. Can you do it? At the beginning you may wail, “Father, I just can’t do it!” But as you continue, slowly everything will become easier. Don’t worry about trying to save face. Make a new hole and tighten your belt. Make up your mind, grit your teeth and step forward.

When you go to home church don’t try to get into someone’s living room right away. Go through the back door and then to the bathroom. Your first thought will be, “How can this be a bathroom in the heavenly kingdom? I cannot afford to leave it this dirty. Let me clean it.” After the bathroom is clean and fresh you can come out and look at the hallway. You will say, “I cannot afford to welcome Heavenly Father in this dirty hall. Let me clean it up.”

The person living there will stride up to you and shout, “What kind of rascal are you? Why do you bother my bathroom?” Then you will shout back, “What kind of rascal are you? This is my home. I’m trying to welcome Heavenly Father in this home and no one will stop me. I’m going to keep cleaning your house.”

You can tell them, “Don’t you want to celebrate at least one of God’s birthdays in your home?” The other person will be totally overcome and say, “Is it true? Can we have God in this house? You say, “All you have to do is try me out free for one week. Whether God is coming in through the door or not, try me out for one week.” This is a very effective way to make a sale in America, offer someone a tree trial, and if they don’t like what you offer they can return it.

I want you to know that the term “home church” is a most precious one. Many, many saints, wise men, prophets and Christian martyrs have waited for the day of home church but they did not have the luxury of seeing it. They did not have anyone to set the highway straight by paying back all the necessary indemnity. There was no way home church could start before I came. Only because I have paid all the past debts can we now undertake home church. I want you to know how precious the gift of home church is.

Your 360 homes are your tribe. If your name happens to be Smith, those 360 homes are the Smith tribe. You can even put a sign up. You can say, “Who built all these homes for them? I came and I am going to build homes for all of my tribe.” But then you can think, “I know who built these homes. God built them for me to give to my tribe and He used Satan as labor. I claim ownership of this place and as the tribal messiah I shall lead my tribe into the Canaan of the modern century.”

When you begin to enjoy your home church and claim the land, God will come down, smile at you and say, “My son, don’t you like it?” Then you will reply. “Yes, Father, I like it.” Then Satan will come and tell you, “You are using the homes that I sweated very hard to build but that’s okay. You go ahead because I cannot claim you any more.”

Do you understand what a welcome word “home church” is, and how much indemnity was paid in order to make home church possible at this time? If you truly know the value of home church through learning the depth of the Divine Principle then you will come to the point where even if you just see the words “home church”, tears of gratitude will roll down your face. You will bow down to those words, saying, “Thank you, Father, that I can read ‘home church’ and have home church.”

Now home church is available for all mankind. I have done everything on a global scale to pay for the past 6,000 years and now I am asking you to take care of one little corner of the land with 360 homes. Can you say you cannot do it? If you say you refuse this task then you are entitled to the worst hell, not heaven. That is true because it is so obvious that home church can easily be done.

Once we turn the atmosphere of America around, particularly the media atmosphere, everyone will say, “Reverend Moon, please come and do home church for me.” If everyone says that, don’t you think home church can be done easily? Then will you be persecuted or be a hero?

When I say “base”,. what do I mean? Usually a base is a launching pad like the pads at Cape Kennedy. When a rocket is launched, the capsule for the astronauts is on the top. The engines for take-off are on the bottom, then the booster engines in the middle, and the capsule put on top. What you are doing is building a rocket. You build the engine on the base first, and that’s the most difficult. Then you build up and up and up all the way to the capsule where you can stay. Once you have finished constructing it, all you have to do is push the button and lift off. After a successful launch you can look back and see your 360 home church families all around you.

Why did God allow man to land on the moon successfully? Where did Armstrong land? On the moon. M-O-O-N. But the moon is not the end of the journey. When you land on the moon, I will be up there waiting. Then I will build another rocket and we will lift off to the sun. Then you will be a Sunny, but that’s not all. I will ignite you once more and this time you will land in the heart of God. Then you will be a Kingy. Other people might say you are brainwashed or crazy, but who cares what they think as long as we are happy? What is our topic? Home Church is the Base of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Let me ask you a question-Do you want Mother and me to take a rest and go around the world? Would you say, “Father and Mother, you can go and rest under one condition: that you take me along”? I will tell you to come along with me only after home church has lifted off. I have done home church on a global basis, and because of the work I have done home church can be done everywhere by everyone.

No matter how gutsy you are, can you ask me to take you along if you have only done home church in 360 homes? I have been looking forward to home church for at least twenty years. This is my twenty-year dream become reality; even to speak the word home church is a dream become reality for me. I never gave up but hung on and fought it out for twenty years. How long have you been doing home church? Some of you have not even done it for twenty weeks. Are you justified in whining, “Father, I am so tired. My legs are hurting and getting sore”? Do you think home church is incredibly difficult or can it be done? Not “can be done” but “candy done”. Sweet things are always done.

In the future being deprived of the right to do home church would be the worst sentence to pass on anyone, worse than prison or electrocution. The age has come when home church is that precious. Everyone will be so eager to have a territory for home church that if they can’t have their own area they will feel they are in the worst hell. Do you clearly know the value of home church? Do you know that in order to establish the foundation of home church God and I have worked desperately hard to pay all the indemnity? Many, many saints and martyrs have shed blood in order to achieve the home church dispensation.

You don’t need any additional explanation, do you? Can you go on and finish without me? Let’s meet together when we complete home church and then we can have a victory party. I am looking for one person: the champion of home church. Whoever consummates the home church dispensation shall truly be recognized as the tribal messiah and will issue invitations to Mother and me to come to the first completed home church on earth. I am looking forward to that home church and am anxious to see whether it will come in Japan, Korea or America. I will ask the same question to the Korean congregation and they will say, “The first champion of home church will be in Korea.” The Japanese will say it will come in Japan. So you have fierce competition!

Sometimes you think it’s a great advantage for Americans to have long legs because you can run faster, but watch out for the Japanese and Koreans. They will be fierce competitors because, even though their legs are short, your eyes are big and you look around at so many things. But Koreans and Japanese have small eyes and they see only the goal, nothing else. Can you still win?

The Korean way of life is such that they can skip lunch for a week and never notice. But in America you count on eating three meals, and when one o’clock comes you think, “Why isn’t lunch ready?” The Koreans have another advantage because they don’t need any special furniture to sit on. They can sit anywhere: on the grass, on the sand, on the highway, and it doesn’t make any difference to them. But when you tell Americans to sit down they look for a bench or chair. The Korean people don’t need flush toilets because nature provides a toilet everywhere. But when Americans have to relieve themselves they run around until they find a toilet.

Also you Westerners complicate a meal by using so many different utensils-a fork, knife, butter knife, salad fork, steak knife, coffee spoon, soup spoon. Why do you make your life so complicated ? All Koreans need are two chop sticks for everything. Chop sticks were inspired by the birds, whose beaks work on the same principle. A bird doesn’t need many forks and knives. When you think you need so many items, you will get left behind. Would you fall behind?

In an American meal there is soup, then salad, then the main course, then dessert and an after-dinner drink. You have breakfast and then in a couple of hours you want a coffee break. How many breaks do you have during the day? You waste so much time doing many tedious and ridiculous things. How many of you sisters waste time painting your fingernails and trying to shape your eyebrows? If you do all these things do you still have time to complete home church?

It is not very easy to win at home church. You need to do three things: think differently, plan differently and act differently. Your way of life must become different. Instead of walking the normal way at a normal speed you need to be shouting out and running down the highway. If you have that kind of stamina then I can see some hope in you to win the home church championship here in America. Can you do it? Your answer is very clear.

Do you know how much I have been tricked and cheated by you? You always lie to me. How many yeses have you spoken to me? But where are those yeses in action? I forgive you for 1979. It’s gone and behind us. What about 1980? Would you do it? Is this a yes I can remember or should I forget it?

I gave you not only a sermon this morning but a one-man show. Why? Because I see nothing but hope in 1980, nothing but brightness and excitement. Therefore, I want to start the day by being happy, excited and jubilant. I would like to keep a record in my own notebook of successful home church #1, #2, #3, and #4. How many numbers would you like to have? You won’t see that notebook here on earth, but as soon as you get to the spirit world you will automatically see that notebook. If you find it and see you are number one then all your American ancestors will be shouting and dancing. God will be awakened and ask, “What are you doing down there?” and you will reply, “Father, come and dance with us. America has the number one home church and did the number one job.”

When you become a champion in home church, is that comparable to winning the Olympic marathon? A marathon is trivial compared to the home church race, where a champion must run for ten or twenty years to win. You are going to win far greater glory as a home church champion, so wouldn’t you want to give your entire best for a few years? It is only logical. I want you to know that what I said this morning will be put into practice by all the Unification Church members around the world, not just you. You have tough competition. Within three days the entire world will hear what I said this morning and then everyone will want to catch up with you for the three-day delay. They will want to run faster and do something better than the American movement. “I will witness better and lecture better and visit home church more.” Even the MFT will want to do better than you in every competition. Especially the heavy women will want to get rid of their extra burden so they can do better, and God, looking down, will say, “That’s truly my daughter. She resembles me and my character.” then will God think that He wants to give her the best husband or not? You know the answer. You are not dumb.

Today’s topic is the slogan for this year of 1980: Home Church is the Base of the Kingdom of Heaven. That is the destiny where true rest lies, where true happiness and joy lies, and even where true life lies. The person who lives and dies in home church is the person who is truly happy.

I would like to buy an airplane. What kind would you like me to get? If you ask me to buy a Concorde, I will do it. I would like to go around the world and hand-pick the twelve most scenic areas for resorts. I might visit Greece, South America, or the Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico. Would it be fun for me to go to those places alone? Who should I bring with me? I don’t want to go alone but to take the home church champion along. Those who have been persecuted and who suffered the most yet still became the home church champions are going to be my companions. Those champions cannot ride in any ordinary car. I would like them to have a Lincoln Continental because they are the eternal heavenly heroes.

What kind of ranking would you want to get- number one or number one thousand million? This is the appropriate morning for you to make up your mind. I want you to know that in order to build the base of the Kingdom of Heaven eternally you must first build a base to the Kingdom of Heaven within yourself. So make up your mind what kind of grade you want to get. To reach that rank do you need everyday supervision or do you need someone snapping at you every minute?

If you’ve really make up your mind that you’re going to be the champion for the home church, that means I am already a success at the outset of 1980. Do you want to make me a success? Your yes sounds like ye-su, which is how Koreans pronounce Jesus’ name. Does that mean you are going to give your life like Jesus did for the sake of your own mission?

This is your first 1980 promise to God and me: that you are going to be a home church champion and win the most successful rank. Will you fulfill it?
