Mary’s Life or Death Situation

Levitius 23

37 I have chosen these festivals as times when my people must come together for worship and when animals, grain, and wine are to be offered on the proper days. 38 These festivals must be celebrated in addition to the Sabbaths and the times when you offer special gifts or sacrifices to keep a promise or as a voluntary offering.

Richard:  I have gotten this verse or the next one three times in the last week.  God is telling me that Sabbath with Him is important.

Psalm 93

The ocean is roaring, Lord!
    The sea is pounding hard.
Its mighty waves are majestic,
    but you are more majestic,
    and you rule over all.
Your decisions are firm,
    and your temple will always
    be beautiful and holy.

Heaven’s Sorrowful Heart

Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Matthew 1:18-2:12

However, even Joseph and Mary, who should have toiled for Jesus and stepped forth pursuing the Will for him, could not relate to Jesus with the earnestness of God’s sorrowful heart. The three wise men from the East could not look at Jesus as Heaven looked at him, bearing a sorrowful heart.

Today we must first look back on the Shim Jung with which God grieved before Jesus’ birth. You must reflect in your minds on the sorrowful heart of God when He cast out Adam and Eve, because they fell in the Garden of Eden. You must reflect back upon that sorrowful and pathetic scene when God watched Adam, his only begotten son, being borne off by the enemy Satan.

To dissolve this sorrow, God came forth unfolding the dispensation for 4,000 years after the fall of Adam and Eve. God notified all of humankind of this sorrowful situation by sending numerous prophets and sages. Yet human beings could not comprehend God’s sorrow nor could they comprehend the grief of the Heaven-sent prophets. For this reason, the Israelites happened through the historical course where they betrayed Heaven. Since God will certainly attain His Will, He toiled without a moment of rest. Eventually, for the first time after the lapse of 4,000 years, God was able to restore the lost Adam. Continue reading “Mary’s Life or Death Situation”

The True Parent Comes at the Second Coming

Matthew 9

10 Later, Jesus and his disciples were having dinner at Matthew’s house.[d]Many tax collectors and other sinners were also there. 11 Some Pharisees asked Jesus’ disciples, “Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and other sinners?”

12 Jesus heard them and answered, “Healthy people don’t need a doctor, but sick people do. 13 Go and learn what the Scriptures mean when they say, ‘Instead of offering sacrifices to me, I want you to be merciful to others.’ I didn’t come to invite good people to be my followers. I came to invite sinners.”

2 Kings 9

I want you to wipe out the family of Ahab, so Jezebel will be punished for killing the prophets and my other servants. Every man and boy in Ahab’s family must die, whether slave or free. His whole family must be destroyed, just like the families of Jeroboam son of Nebat and Baasha son of Ahijah. 10 As for Jezebel, her body will be eaten by dogs in the town of Jezreel. There won’t be enough left of her to bury.”

Humankind Wanders In Search of the Truth

Rev. Sun Myung Moon
December 21, 1958

Matthew 7:1-12

What then are you? You are a sacrificial offering representing 6,000 years. To be the sacrificial offering representing 6,000 years, you must gain knowledge of the heart of God, who has made humankind offer sacrifices for 6,000 years.

What was it like when Adam and Eve were cast out of the realm of God’s love, after they fell in the Garden of Eden? They lamented their misfortune. This was the origin of the tears of humankind and the beginning of pain and suffering. Yet the sadness of Adam and Eve was not all there was. God had a Shim Jung of greater sadness than that of Adam and Eve when He cast them out. Humans do not know this. You must know this.

Thus, you are the tribe cast out of the realm of God’s love and have become its descendants. While individuals are grieving centered on their misfortunes, God is grieving even today, looking at individuals who have been cast out.

What must humans, made outcasts for having betrayed Heaven, centered on themselves, do for restoration? They must become beings who can shed tears, holding onto God’s sorrow, God’s pain and feeling of dejection, having denied all things of their own. They must not be influenced in the least by the presence of their grief, their feelings of dejection and death. Otherwise, they cannot be restored. Jesus Has Bee Looking for the One True Person

1 Samuel 13

19 The Philistines would not allow any Israelites to learn how to make iron tools. “If we allowed that,” they said, “those worthless Israelites would make swords and spears.”

Richard:  The Phillistines tried to keep Israel from bearing arms.  It is a fundamental human right that God’s people be able to protect themselves.

Isaiah 19

19 This is a message about Egypt:

The Lord comes to Egypt,
    riding swiftly on a cloud.
The people are weak from fear.
Their idols tremble
    as he approaches and says,
“I will punish Egypt
    with civil war—
neighbors, cities, and kingdoms
    will fight each other.

“Egypt will be discouraged
    when I confuse their plans.
They will try to get advice
    from their idols,
from the spirits of the dead,
    and from fortunetellers.
I will put the Egyptians
under the power of a cruel,
    heartless king.
I, the Lord All-Powerful,
    have promised this.”

Richard:  After President Trump’s term(s), we may get a bad President.  This could cause a lot of suffering, especially among Christians.

Let Us Seek and Establish the Blessed Land God Wants to Administer

Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Genesis 1:24-28

God’s heart had gone through a course of turns and twists. Shedding light upon this, Jesus uttered, “God, now I know. I have come to know the final meaning of Your having unfolded the dispensation and what kind of heart You had as You did it.” Jesus then grabbed hold of God and rejoiced, shedding tears, forgetting his dignity and image. You too must be able to rejoice, holding onto Jesus and shedding tears. Only then can the ideology of the internal world be manifested as that of the external ideology. You must understand this.

The very core of faith, what is left after human beings believe in the Lord with uplifted hands, put the Word into practice with love and restore the incarnated body with faith, is for their minds to become united with the minds of God and Jesus. Beyond that, the love of God, Jesus and human beings must become united. This is the last, emotional problem to be solved for religious people. For that reason, Christianity, the religion of love, will survive to the end. People in the heavenly kingdom are people who strive for the sake of giving. They are people who strive to give their bodies and minds and all of their things. Most people of this fallen world, on the other hand, strive to live centered on themselves. Only when they can bring about a revolution in their minds can people like these become God’s sons and daughters who can receive the love of God, the Creator of humankind and all creation, who tries to embrace them in His bosom. The Center of God’s Providence is Jesus

CSG 441

Also since everything is connected
to the core, then each position, one, two,
three, four, five, six and seven from this
central core are equal. If the grandfather
and his sons and daughters want some-
thing and the grandchild is not against
it, then all three generations will come
to want it. The grandfather and grand-
mother, husband and wife, and sons and
daughters all follow the center. In terms
of love, we say that the parent-child
relationship is one, the conjugal rela-
tionship is one, and the sibling relation-
ship is one. They are one body. What are
these relationships revolving around?
They are revolving around the true love
of God who is the center of love. Based
on true love, the parents and children,
husband and wife and brothers and sis-
ters all become one. In this way the val-
ue of everything becomes equal. (299-114,
1999.2.7)

CSG 1543

All peoples in the world are the
same in that they are all human beings
regardless of skin color . W hether white
or black , the only difference between
them is their living environment. Sup-
pose a man married a black woman and
had a black child with her, and then
married a white woman and had a white
child with her. He would be as much the
father of the white child as he would be
of the black child. These two children
would share the same father. Unless
people are made to feel deeply in their
hearts that they are siblings born of the
same Father, whatever it takes for them
to realize it, the unification of all peo-
ples and generations in the world will be
impossible. (18-111, 1967.5.28)

The Forsaken Jesus

Rev. Sun Myung Moon

1 Peter 2:1-10

Stop being hateful! Quit trying to fool people, and start being sincere. Don’t be jealous or say cruel things about others. Be like newborn babies who are thirsty for the pure spiritual milk that will help you grow and be saved. You have already found out how good the Lord really is.

Come to Jesus Christ. He is the living stone that people have rejected, but which God has chosen and highly honored. And now you are living stones that are being used to build a spiritual house. You are also a group of holy priests, and with the help of Jesus Christ you will offer sacrifices that please God. It is just as God says in the Scriptures,

“Look! I am placing in Zion
a choice and precious
    cornerstone.
No one who has faith
in that one
    will be disappointed.”

You are followers of the Lord, and that stone is precious to you. But it isn’t precious to those who refuse to follow him. They are the builders who tossed aside the stone that turned out to be the most important one of all. They disobeyed the message and stumbled and fell over that stone, because they were doomed.

But you are God’s chosen and special people. You are a group of royal priests and a holy nation. God has brought you out of darkness into his marvelous light. Now you must tell all the wonderful things that he has done. The Scriptures say,

10 “Once you were nobody.
    Now you are God’s people.
At one time no one
    had pity on you.
Now God has treated you
    with kindness.

Sermon

These Bible verses metaphorically describe Jesus as a stone. They also describe how the stone which the builders rejected became a cornerstone. We can see that this situation was not recognized by Jesus family, his religious order, the Israelites nor even his own beloved three disciples.

God drew out the chosen people from among their enemies. He raised them for salvation. Through this people, He tried to accomplish His great will. However, although the Israelites saw this will of God from the viewpoint of an ideology or history, they still could not live up to that will. Don’t Shun the Path of Golgotha

Psalm 74

By your power you made a path
    through the sea,
    and you smashed the heads
    of sea monsters.
14 You crushed the heads
    of the monster Leviathan,[b]
then fed him to wild creatures
    in the desert.
15 You opened the ground
for streams and springs
    and dried up mighty rivers.
16 You rule the day and the night,
    and you put the moon
    and the sun in place.
17 You made summer and winter
and gave them to the earth.[c]

Isaiah 3

Tell those who obey God,
“You’re very fortunate—
    you will be rewarded
    for what you have done.”
11 Tell those who disobey,
“You’re in big trouble—
    what you did to others
will come back to you.” Continue reading “Don’t Shun the Path of Golgotha”

Why Couldn’t the Israelite People Recognize Jesus?

Pastor Hyun Jin Moon explains the significance of this time after the elections:

Luke 22

10He replied, “As you enter the city, a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him to the house that he enters, 11and say to the owner of the house, ‘The Teacher asks: Where is the guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?’ 12He will show you a large room upstairs, all furnished. Make preparations there.”

1 Kings 9

25Three times a year Solomon sacrificed burnt offerings and fellowship offerings on the altar he had built for the Lord, burning incense before the Lord along with them, and so fulfilled the temple obligations. Continue reading “Why Couldn’t the Israelite People Recognize Jesus?”

Let Us Become the Citizens Who Take Possession of the Kingdom of Heaven

Rev. Sun Myung Moon
June 2, 1957

You who have gathered here, you who have stepped forward without fear for life and death, ready for the road of troubles, the road of the cross, you who have come in search for the situation of God that could not be told to human beings for 6,000 long years! Have you really come to become filial sons and daughters of God? Have you come to become loyal subjects and women of fidelity? If you have come forward in this path of the will to become that kind of person, then the problem is what you have sought until now, what you have felt, and what you have manifested to God. Everything is brought to conclusion here. When we look from this position, clearly you have to all become the heirs of Jesus Christ. Even if there is a center on this earth, there is nothing that is more central than Jesus and even in enduring through a difficult environment, there is no one who persevered through an environment more difficult than that of Jesus.

Because of human beings, even as he was crossing the difficult hill of death, Jesus prayed, “Father, please do not let their sins fall upon them!” This road is the solitary path of Jesus which no one else could travel.

When we make the association with the road that Jesus walked on, we must realize it was clearly not for the sake of his own self. Furthermore, Jesus did not try to relate with God’s will based on the biblical perspective of that time, and he did not try to deal with the will of God centering on the Israelite people. Always based on a new point of view, Jesus had made the preparations to relate with the new will of God.

In this way, he taught a true individual path to human beings, and made it possible for them to realize a new perspective on life. The path that Jesus traveled was a mournful road personally, but he experienced a love from God that people on the earth could not experience. Moreover, he mourned over the fact that God who created all things could not indulge in His rightful glory as the master of all things due to the people who were living with a habitual attitude of faith….

If you who live in the last days know that Jesus offered some thirty- odd years of his life to walk the road of conflict to realize the Kingdom of Heaven for which God longs, in other words, to fulfill the will of God, then you must also become the true Christians who are profoundly concerned about the dignity and prestige of God, so that inheriting the victory of Jesus you can go before God.

Though there are many people on this earth today, there is none who is genuinely concerned about the dignity and prestige of God. If at such time there are some people who fathom the internal heart of God and sorrowfully make the appeal to restore the dignity and prestige of God, then God will turn toward that people the attention that He has withdrawn from the world. In the same way God could look at Judaism, the Jewish people and the world through Jesus Christ, even today he will try to liquidate the forces of Satan by raising you who have cultivated the internal heart of Jesus. Understanding that as the elite soldier of God he would not perish even if the people and the world betrayed him, Jesus fought Satan on earth to eliminate Satan with unchanging conviction and to fulfill his responsibility to rectify the dignity of God.

Therefore, Jesus and the Holy Spirit took up the task of probing into the sins of Satan, who damaged the dignity of God, and then attacking him. This is not all. They tried to construct the Kingdom of Heaven through which human beings can rectify the dignity and prestige of God.
