How many times a day do you think
about your portion of responsibility?
You have to remember this many times:
when you eat, when you hold a spoon,
when you wash the dishes, while you go
to the toilet, while you walk…. Adam
and Eve did not think about their por-
tion of responsibility and consequent-
ly came to ruin. We must not become
people who, like Adam and Eve, can-
not fulfill our responsibility and fall. To
become someone who can be restored
and be victorious we have to respect and
consider our portion of responsibility
twenty-four hours a day. (124-103, 1983.1.30)

Richard:  I got a blank page and Stacey got the Rhema above. Together, God is emphasizing our own portion of responsibility.  We need to know what is true, based on God’s word, the Eight Great Textbooks (http://visionroot.org/resources/the-eight-books-of-holy-scripture/), and pursue it centering on our conscience at high noon, where no shadow is cast.

Matthew 23: 1-39

Prayer

In this time, there is nothing that I want to convey. Please convey what You want to convey. Please take dominion over this gathering, as I only want to see things within Your will come to pass.

Please help our minds and bodies not to be subjugated by any other thought, even for this one hour only. Please allow this to be a time when we agree with the things with which the Father agrees, decide on the things on which the Father decides, and harmonize with the things with which the Father harmonizes. Father, please be the cause, and let us be the result. I sincerely pray, Father, that You shape our minds and bodies so that we may move as You move.

Please bless this day. I earnestly pray that You will protect with Your arms of blessing all those lonely members far away who are praying together at this time.

Father, we realize that the passage of the Bible we have read was about the final words of a curse that flowed out of Jesus’ desperate heart as he found himself unable to do anything even, after making every effort. If such words ever come to our ears in these last days, allow us to open our hearts’ doors, bow, and receive them with bowed heads. Father, I sincerely pray that there will be many sons and daughters who will open their ears with the desire to listen and open their eyes with the desire to see.

Please have dominion over those gathered here. Embrace them in Your loving bosom, and advise them with new words. I sincerely pray that this will be a time when we may be embraced in Your bosom.

Let there be no distance between the heart of the one trying to convey the message and the hearts of those who are receiving it. Please let the heart of the one trying to convey move the hearts of those receiving. Let the hearts of those receiving sensitize the heart of the one conveying so that You may directly guide this time and that this hour may be a time of giving and taking with the Father. I sincerely pray that You will, please, allow us to be sanctified offerings. Please allow the spirit of the Trinity to take dominion and guide us so that the forces of darkness will never invade us. I pray all these things in the name of the Lord. Amen.

If a young grandchild comes home
and asks in a bossy voice, “Hey, where
did Grandpa and Grandma go?” how
would you feel? Is it proper for him to
demand, as soon as arrives, and in front
of his mother and father and his brothers
and sisters, to know, “Where are Grand-
pa and Grandma?” This is improp-
er because he is speaking in an impo-
lite manner. Here the grandparents are
now over eighty years old, and this little
brat audaciously stands firm in front of
his father and mother and elder broth-
ers and elder sisters, who are superior to
him, demanding to know, “Where have
Grandpa and Grandma gone?” Would
any of them be shocked and scold him
saying, “Where are your manners?”
Why do you think this happens?
Normally, if someone did the same thing
in another situation, you would scold
him or her saying, “How can you treat
Grandpa like this?” But if the grandchild
stands firm and asks again, you will be
pleased. You will reply, “Okay, okay, so
you want to see your grandfather, do
you?” When he asks where his grand-
father is, is he asking for rice cakes or
some food? What does he have on his
mind? He misses his grandfather. So is
it good or bad to miss him? It is a good
thing!

Your ancestors in the spirit world
would look down and want to come with
the desire to assist their descendants of
whom they are proud. That is why many
of your ancestors come down to you.
This is the realm of religion based on
the tribes that transcends denomina-
tions. Do you understand? Your ances-
tors want to follow you while placing
their trust and love in you. That is why
they want to devote themselves in assist-
ing you. (189-278, 1989.5.1)

Matthew 23: 1-39

23 Jesus said to the crowds and to his disciples:

The Pharisees and the teachers of the Law are experts in the Law of Moses. So obey everything they teach you, but don’t do as they do. After all, they say one thing and do something else.

They pile heavy burdens on people’s shoulders and won’t lift a finger to help. Everything they do is just to show off in front of others. They even make a big show of wearing Scripture verses on their foreheads and arms, and they wear big tassels[a] for everyone to see. They love the best seats at banquets and the front seats in the meeting places. And when they are in the market, they like to have people greet them as their teachers.

But none of you should be called a teacher. You have only one teacher, and all of you are like brothers and sisters. Don’t call anyone on earth your father. All of you have the same Father in heaven. 10 None of you should be called the leader. The Messiah is your only leader. 11 Whoever is the greatest should be the servant of the others. 12 If you put yourself above others, you will be put down. But if you humble yourself, you will be honored.

13-14 You Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses are in for trouble! You’re nothing but show-offs. You lock people out of the kingdom of heaven. You won’t go in yourselves, and you keep others from going in.[b]

15 You Pharisees and teachers of the Law of Moses are in for trouble! You’re nothing but show-offs. You travel over land and sea to win one follower. And when you have done so, you make that person twice as fit for hell as you are.

16 You are in for trouble! You are supposed to lead others, but you are blind. You teach that it doesn’t matter if a person swears by the temple. But you say that it does matter if someone swears by the gold in the temple. 17 You blind fools! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred?

18 You also teach that it doesn’t matter if a person swears by the altar. But you say that it does matter if someone swears by the gift on the altar. 19 Are you blind? Which is more important, the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred? 20 Anyone who swears by the altar also swears by everything on it. 21 And anyone who swears by the temple also swears by God, who lives there. 22 To swear by heaven is the same as swearing by God’s throne and by the one who sits on that throne.

23 You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you’re in for trouble! You give God a tenth of the spices from your garden, such as mint, dill, and cumin. Yet you neglect the more important matters of the Law, such as justice, mercy, and faithfulness. These are the important things you should have done, though you should not have left the others undone either. 24 You blind leaders! You strain out a small fly but swallow a camel.

25 You Pharisees and teachers are show-offs, and you’re in for trouble! You wash the outside of your cups and dishes, while inside there is nothing but greed and selfishness. 26 You blind Pharisee! First clean the inside of a cup, and then the outside will also be clean.

27 You Pharisees and teachers are in for trouble! You’re nothing but show-offs. You’re like tombs that have been whitewashed.[c] On the outside they are beautiful, but inside they are full of bones and filth. 28 That’s what you are like. Outside you look good, but inside you are evil and only pretend to be good.

29 You Pharisees and teachers are nothing but show-offs, and you’re in for trouble! You build monuments for the prophets and decorate the tombs of good people. 30 And you claim that you would not have taken part with your ancestors in killing the prophets. 31 But you prove that you really are the relatives of the ones who killed the prophets. 32 So keep on doing everything they did. 33 You are nothing but snakes and the children of snakes! How can you escape going to hell?

34 I will send prophets and wise people and experts in the Law of Moses to you. But you will kill them or nail them to a cross or beat them in your meeting places or chase them from town to town. 35 That’s why you will be held guilty for the murder of every good person, beginning with the good man Abel. This also includes Barachiah’s son Zechariah,[d] the man you murdered between the temple and the altar. 36 I can promise that you people living today will be punished for all these things!

37 Jerusalem, Jerusalem! Your people have killed the prophets and have stoned the messengers who were sent to you. I have often wanted to gather your people, as a hen gathers her chicks under her wings. But you wouldn’t let me. 38 And now your temple will be deserted. 39 You won’t see me again until you say,

“Blessed is the one who comes
in the name of the Lord.”

Prayer

We know that Heavenly Father resides in a world of infinite patience and endeavor. We know the heart and will of the Father. You have dealt with all human sin since the first ancestors. We cannot help bowing our heads in shame before You. You have walked a path of great effort and perseverance to uncover beings of the original creation.

I earnestly pray that You allow us to extend ourselves and welcome You with our minds and bodies. Our Father has been struggling to persevere with our ancestors. He fought with them to hold onto humankind throughout the long years of history, treating those years as if they were one day.

We realize that so many people on this earth avoid the path of hard work. Only a few seek the path of understanding Your circumstances and trying to keep Your heart in both mind and body. Continue reading “We Realize that so Many People on this Earth Avoid the Path of Hard Work”

Discard the Thought of Going to Heaven Out of Personal Motivation

Cheon Seong Gyeong 2083

What are we to do, living in a divided
nation, with North and South bordering
each other along the thirty-eighth paral-
lel? The question is how will we go about
resolving this issue? That is, we must
suffer more than both the North and
South Korean people. Through hard-
ships, our patriotism will be solidified
to encompass the nation and become
the shortcut to save Korea. This is the
solution. It is the same for the unifica-
tion of the world of evil and the world of
good. Loyal patriots who are more faith-
ful than the loyal patriots of the world
of evil must emerge. This broken history
can be restored with the appearance of a
person who can demonstrate a stronger
allegiance to the world than that held by
our loyal ancestors. That’s how I see it.
(61-125, 1972.8.13)

Cheon Seong Gyeong 1542

Christ at his Second Advent is com-
ing to save humanity. Once the heaven-
ly standard has been established, God is
ready to strike. He takes the offensive.
That does not mean that He kills His
foes by executing them in the style of
Stalin; instead, He makes them surren-
der at once. He must make Satan sub-
mit to Him, firstly through His ideology,
secondly through His citizenry, thirdly
through His sovereignty, and fourthly
through His territory. Everyone desires
to have ideals, friends, power, and mon-
ey, and these four items represent the
four that have been listed above. (12-169,
1963.3.16)

Richard:  This is a helpful way to think about Cheon Il Guk, or the nation of God.  When you have ideals (an ideology), friends (people or citizens), power (sovereignty) and money (land, territory) you have the basic elements of a “nation”.

John 14:1-24

In that state, you who are searching for the world of the heart should not have faith for your sake. Please discard the thought of going to heaven or the thought of trying to accomplish something out of personal motivation.

Jesus never had the thought of entering heaven himself. His notion of faith was believing for the sake of the universe, the nation and God. These are not fanciful words. It was the truth. How invigorating it is to have faith in doing something, not for myself, but for humanity, the world and for the Father!

If I love something, it is not to love it myself, but to love it in the name of the nation, humankind and God, and to live for the sake of others in the name of Heaven and earth. Therefore, we should attend God in the name of humankind and Heaven. We should also have a grateful heart as we attend God and the heart to practice what we believe. Only When our Conscience Precedes any Logic or Regulation can the World of Heavenly Relationship be Completed

What kind of people are the Koreans?
They are a people who should inherit the
global history of the cultural spheres
that can restore and indemnify the civi-
lization based on the Italian peninsula.
Korea is such a region. The reunification
of North and South Korea signifies the
unification of the democratic world and
communist world. Furthermore, the
independence of Korea is a restoration
of the failure of the people of Israel. That
is why Israel and Korea both regained
their nations together in 1948. (139-109,
1986.1.28)

Cheon Seong Gyeong 1256

In chapter eight of the book of
Romans, it is recorded, “But we our-
selves, who have the first fruits of the
Spirit, groan inwardly as we wait eagerly
for adoption as sons, the redemption of
our bodies!” It also states, “For you did
not receive the spirit of bondage again
to fear, but you received the Spirit of
adoption by whom we cry out, ‘Abba,
Father.’” Therefore, the best we can hope
for is adoption.
The Christians of today are adopt-
ed sons and daughters. Adopted chil-
dren come from a different bloodline.
In John 8:44, Jesus said, “You belong to
your father, the devil, and you want to
carry out your father’s desire!” Since he
referred to the devil as the father, doesn’t
that make it clear that the bloodline
belongs to him, and that he, the devil, is
humankind’s ancestor? What is circum-
cision for? It symbolizes the separation
of good and evil. That is how it works.
What is the fruit of the knowledge of
good and evil? (154-337, 1964.10.5)

The Grieving Father, Son and Daughter as They Try to Establish the Kingdom of Heaven

John 14:1-24

For humankind to enter the Kingdom of Heaven after passing through all the courses of faith and judgment and emerge as children of the Father, there should be no need for the saying “Have faith” to people who are in the original Adam and Eve’s position. All their actions, emotions and gestures should automatically correspond in unison with the notion of love and faith that transcends sorrow, without having to remind them in words.

Only when our heart transcends any article of law or commandment that causes us to act, and only when our conscience precedes any logic or regulation can the world of heavenly relationship be completed. We have to become noble individuals who cannot help acting, cannot help loving, and cannot help living for others in accordance with the heart of Heaven. This would be the greatest standard of faith for Christians. This has to be realized today.

You will experience the heart of Jesus as he had to block Mary Magdalene from holding onto his resurrected self. You have to go forth now through the way of practice, bearing the heart of love, and overcome trials with the attitude of welcoming even death. The heavenly life begins the moment you return glory to Heaven and are grateful for the blessing of resurrection, in spite of tribulations and difficulties. You then enter the realm of glory through a life of attendance with a loving heart. Jesus Came to Reveal the Essence of Love

In going the way of filial piety for the
sake of God, even if you have to die away
from home, you should protect whatev-
er environment you are in such a way
that will earn you the appreciation of its
inhabitants. Only by bequeathing such
a legacy can you go to heaven. If you do
not, you will not. (280-41, 1996.10.13)

Alaska, where the ceremony of The
Ceremony of the Settlement of the Eight
Stages was held, is becoming famous. The
last time I came here I said I would build
a church at the North Pole. If the Sovi-
et Communist Party opposes it, I will
take the responsibility. I will build the
Unification Church at the North Pole.
You have to spend your life in order to
build the foundation of blessing for all
people of the world, but before you die,
come to our Church at the North Pole
and offer your devotion for forty days
and then you can die. Think about this.
An ideal city will be created in a world
of icebergs. Then, even though it will be
thousands of miles away, everything can
be supplied by the air. You should try
living like this. It would be a wonderful
thing. With the power of science today,
that would be nothing. We can use pre-
fabricated systems. So we will build an
airfield and try to live there, so what
problem could arise? We are creating

The Grieving Father, Son and Daughter as They Try to Establish the Kingdom of Heaven

John 14:1-24

All the believers gathered in this place should understand the heart of God. As He fought throughout the providence, God even has had a lingering attachment toward Satan and is constantly thinking of ways to forgive him. We have to realize that God is such a being.

Knowing that God has such a heart and looking back over your past lives that were deformed by the sins of betraying God, as well as your inadequacies, you should possess not only a heart of love, but a heart of unconditional attendance and service. From that moment, you will become people God loves. When even the parents of the fallen world can forget their children’s shortcoming, shouldn’t we who are to embody the heavenly heart try more than they?

Now you should empathize with the heart and experience of Heavenly Father so that you may eternally respect and attend Him. You should then possess the heart to say, “I am grateful,” even if your whole self is taken and everything of yours is taken away. You must clearly understand that such a moment is the starting point when you can be connected with the world of God’s love. Continue reading “Jesus Came to Reveal the Essence of Love”
