2 Thessolonians 2

2 When our Lord Jesus returns, we will be gathered up to meet him. So I ask you, my friends, 2 not to be easily upset or disturbed by people who claim that the Lord[a] has already come. They may say that they heard this directly from the Holy Spirit, or from someone else, or even that they read it in one of our letters. 3 But don’t be fooled! People will rebel against God. Then before the Lord returns, the wicked one who is doomed to be destroyed will appear. 4 He will brag and oppose everything that is holy or sacred. He will even sit in God’s temple and claim to be God. 5 Don’t you remember that I told you this while I was still with you?

Jonah 1

13 The sailors tried their best to row to the shore. But they could not do it, and the storm kept getting worse every minute. 14 So they prayed to the Lord, “Please don’t let us drown for taking this man’s life. Don’t hold us guilty for killing an innocent man. All of this happened because you wanted it to.” 15 Then they threw Jonah overboard, and the sea calmed down. 16 The sailors were so terrified that they offered a sacrifice to the Lord and made all kinds of promises.

17 The Lord sent a big fish to swallow Jonah, and Jonah was inside the fish for three days and three nights.

Richard: We have to remember our covenant and promises to God. Also, here and later in the book of Jonah, Jonah does not want to obey God and preach God’s message to the people so they can be saved. Interestingly, the people of Ninevah actually repent, and Jonah is angry that the Lord God did not destroy them, as He originally indicated He would.
We should offer help to God’s children. They may receive our message or not, but we have no right to be angry with God, regardless.

Earth. With his single mind in repose, he is

free of clouds, unwrapped his folds from the
Exalted One’s body, and, withdrawing his own
form and creating the form of a youth, stood
before the Exalted One, holding up his clasped
hands and doing reverence to him.

5 All this is evidence that God’s judgment is right, and as a result you will be counted worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you are suffering. 6 God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you 7 and give relief to you who are troubled, and to us as well. This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels. 8 He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus. 9 They will be punished with everlasting destruction and shut out from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his might 10 on the day he comes to be glorified in his holy people and to be marveled at among all those who have believed. Formless, Invisible, Mystery

Suppose you could see God with your physical eyes—see Him as He commented on your every
move and every word, and intervened in everything you did. Do you think you could survive even
one day without having a nervous breakdown?
Countless particles are passing through your body at this moment, yet you cannot see or feel
them. How, then, could you ever see the work of the invisible God as He passes right through you?
Rather foolishly saying that you would believe in God if only He showed Himself to you, you should
rather be grateful that He is invisible. (138:168, January 21, 1986)

If God, the great Lord of heaven and earth, were visible to human eyes, people would fight each
other to possess God. There would be no way to stop the battle…
If God were visible, America and the Soviet Union would fight over Him, each claiming that
God was theirs. Who could stop the fighting? The omniscient God stays invisible lest such fights
break out. To wish that God were visible is foolish. It is better that He is not. (41:260)

God alone is absolute, unchanging and eternal. Do you think it is easy for the eternal God to relate
to fallen human beings? Do people have any idea how to relate to Him? (92:299, April 24, 1977)


God’s thoughts, as He leads His Providence, are different from our thoughts, as we encounter the
Providence. This is a problem. How can we, who are immersed in the satanic world, find our way to
God’s Providence? We certainly cannot find the way to fulfill God’s purposes by our own concepts.
Rather, we must understand the world God originally intended and then transform [ourselves and
our world] into God’s world. (161:109, January 11, 1987)


God is formless and invisible. His ideal of creation is to manifest Himself into beings with form.
In fulfilling this purpose, God would not rest content to be a Being visible only to the spirit
world. He would want to be a Being with the substance of the visible world as well. (298:106,
January 1, 1999)


The invisible and formless God is the origin of energy. Yet, to have complete dominion over the
physical world, God needs an instrument that possesses physical form. If Adam had reached perfection without falling, he would have entered the spirit world as fully the image of God. The spirit of
Adam would have become one with the invisible God, and God would have taken on the image of
Adam. Had that come to pass, when Adam laughed, God would be laughing and the entire universe
would be laughing as well.
The process of creation is the projection of the invisible God into physical forms. It is like
a magnet, which needs a south pole as well as a north pole in order to function. There are two
aspects of God, external and internal. Thus, God’s idea was for the invisible God and the visible
God—Adam—to be in harmony. Their give and take would create a circuit. Through their give
and take of love, the internal would become external and the external would become internal, back
and forth, in circular motion. Thus the internal God and the external God would be united as one.

In the course of history
so many saints and sages have come and gone,
yet none knew the circumstances of Heaven;
none knew the heart of God. 
May we discover the path
to know Heaven’s circumstances
and be familiar with God’s heart:

If the Jewish People Had Believed in Jesus, the Foundation for the Messiah Would have Been Laid

3 My dear friends, we always have good reason to thank God for you, because your faith in God and your love for each other keep growing all the time. 4 That’s why we brag about you to all of God’s churches. 3.2 THE SECOND WORLDWIDE COURSE TO RESTORE CANAAN

3.2.1 THE FOUNDATION OF FAITH

3.2.1.1 JESUS TAKES ON THE MISSION OF JOHN THE BAPTIST

 The foundation of faith which John had laid for the first worldwide course to restore Canaan was invaded by Satan. Jesus himself now had to take on John’s mission and restore through indemnity the foundation of faith in order to set out on the second worldwide course to restore Canaan. When Jesus fasted for forty days in the wilderness, it was to separate Satan for the very purpose of restoring the foundation of faith; however, for this he lowered himself to assume the position of John the Baptist.

 Jesus enjoined Peter not to reveal to the Jewish people that he was the Messiah192 because, although he was the Messiah, he had assumed John’s role for the purpose of beginning this phase of the providence.

3.2.1.3 THE RESULT OF THE FORTY-DAY FAST AND THE THREE TEMPTATIONS

 First, in the position of John the Baptist, Jesus restored through indemnity the foundation of faith for the second worldwide course to restore Canaan. In so doing, Jesus restored all that had been offered to God over the course of the providence for the purpose of laying the foundation of faith. Furthermore, Jesus restored through indemnity, all at once, all the dispensations of forty for the separation of Satan conducted during the four thousand years since Adam, lost despite the best efforts of central figures to lay the foundation of faith.

 Second, by rising from John the Baptist’s position to the position of the Messiah, Jesus paved the way for the fulfillment of God’s three great blessings and the restoration of the four position foundation.

3.2.2 THE FOUNDATION OF SUBSTANCE

 Jesus came as the True Parent of humanity, yet he restored through indemnity the dispensation of forty for the separation of Satan while standing in the position of John the Baptist. Therefore, after he restored the foundation of faith (and rose to the position of Messiah and True Parent) he stood in the position of a parent. At the same time, when he secured the position of Abel for fulfilling the indemnity condition to remove the fallen nature, he stood in the position of a child (still in the role of John the Baptist with respect to that condition).

 Jesus was the fulfillment of the three manifestations of grace and the Ten Commandments. Therefore, God conducted the dispensation to start the second worldwide course to restore Canaan based on Jesus’ own words and miraculous deeds. If the Jewish people (Cain) had been moved to believe in and follow Jesus, who was in the position of John the Baptist (Abel), they would have fulfilled the indemnity condition to remove the fallen nature and restored the foundation of substance. The foundation for the Messiah would thus have been laid. Standing upon this foundation, Jesus would have risen from the position of John the Baptist to the position of the Messiah. Then, by engrafting all people with himself, humankind would have been reborn, cleansed of the original sin, and would have become one with God in heart. They would have restored their original, God-given nature and built the Kingdom of Heaven on earth in Jesus’ day.

3.2.3 THE FAILURE OF THE SECOND WORLDWIDE COURSE TO RESTORE CANAAN

 Satan confronted Jesus through Judas Iscariot, the disciple who betrayed him. Due to the faithlessness of such people, Jesus could lay neither the foundation of substance nor the foundation for the Messiah for the second worldwide course to restore Canaan. The second worldwide course thus ended in tragic failure.

Sever Your Relationship With Satan both Spiritually and Physically

2 Thessalonians

Then what should you do? You should become the ones who can substitute all the ideas based on human ethics with heavenly principles and totally digest everything based on human ethics, transforming them into heavenly ones. Otherwise, you will not be able to lead a life of the Heavenly Kingdom on earth.

Jesus and the Holy Spirit have been making efforts for 2,000 years to spiritually connect human morals with the will of heavenly principles. If you believe in such a Jesus, you will have inherited the will and will do your best to fulfill the mission of unifying humanistic moral laws with the heavenly principles. To inherit the mission, we should first overcome all the evil conditions in our daily life. For this, we should carry out the ideology of Jesus’ daily life. Believing in the cross was to sever the relationship with Satan spiritually, but you should now have the ideology of Jesus’ life. Based upon it, you can sever the relationship with Satan both spiritually and physically.

Now the Day of Judgment is approaching. Then how will the judgment be done? It will be done, based on how an individual established the heavenly ideology during his or her earthly life. To avoid such judgment, before being afraid of God’s judgment, we should become the one who can take responsibility for the will of God and fulfill it. Otherwise, even before we are judged by God, Satan will take us.

Is there anyone with the disposition of God? Is there anyone with the pure disposition of Jesus? Find him, and make him your friend. Who is of noble character? Please follow him. Also, who is the one with the nature of God’s harmony? Follow him, and attend him. Then you will surely gain a path to life. Also, you will be freed from the judgment for the condition of having followed and attended him.

Have you had Jesus’ heart of purity, nobleness, and harmony? If not, fight yourself. Satan is not far away from you. He is in yourself. Thus, you should discover the difference between the heavenly personality and the satanic one within you and lead a life of separating them.

Next, you should appear in a way that is immutable. The meaning of saying that Jesus did not change refers to his unchanging attitude from the perspective of heavenly ideology.

Fallen humans under the dominion of Satan are cunning. Satan in the Garden of Eden revealed his sin, but at the time of the judgment, he would not reveal it.

You should become the ones who can willingly abandon any attachment to your own environment and life with an unchanging heart. Then you will be one with Jesus’ unchanging heart.

Please understand that the environment, including yourself, is an object against which you should fight. To Jesus, who came as an unchanging person, all things before him were objects and enemies to fight. Furthermore, even the spirit world attacked him. Since Jesus had to fight heaven and earth, what a pitiful person he was! Despite such a condition, we should understand that he remained unchanged. Now you should be the ones who can stand unchanged before God and can be proud of yourself.

All things will welcome us in joy only when the foundation is established on earth where such people gather on earth and manifest God’s wisdom. Then instead of the fact of man having been related to Satan in pain and suffering, they will receive a day of hope and sing a song of glory and joy to God.
