Prayer

Please allow us to repent for being self-righteous about our faith. Let us have the mind to reflect on our conduct and repent. Let us put aside our high hopes and repent; let us put aside the part of us that mocks the inner heart we have sought. Father, when we do so, I sincerely wish and desire that we may come to the glorious state of denying all that we have and giving it all to You, calling upon You. We desire to attain this through Your guidance.

Father, please look at the Korean peninsula with compassion. Many nations have trampled upon this land throughout all different eras. This land has been left to the mercy of its enemies. We know that the thirty million people of this nation harbor the bitterness of such a bloody history in their hearts. Father, please let Your heart be uppermost in theirs. Let the circumstances of these people be tied to your circumstances. Guide the people to want what You want. Please don’t let us be resentful about the sorry past. Beloved Father, I pray sincerely that we may be Your concerned sons and daughters who can beg You to usher in the time of Heaven that approaches so nearly.

Father, You have visited this nation above other nations because it has a heavenly history. Please do not let the time come when Your footsteps turn from us in lamentation and sorrow. Father, I pray from the bottom of my heart that You will not let us be the land and the people who leave behind sorrow and regrets.

The 2.7 billion people of the world lie in slumber, not knowing that You are preparing the moment of happiness through enlightenment. We know that we have the mission to awaken these people. We have the mission to build a new ideal Kingdom of Heaven by surmounting the complex human condition. We have the mission to build a land of bliss. Today, we unworthy, imperfect and insufficient people have knelt down on our knees, our minds fraught with awe and reverence, and with guilty consciences. Please bestow the wonderful grace of Heaven upon us through our appealing hearts in this hour. Father, it is my sincere wish and desire that You will manifest Yourself in this hour and get rid of all that is not of such a heart. When we offer all that we have to You, we hope You can acknowledge us as Your successors.

Father, the members in Seoul and the district members have gathered before You to build a new altar. Please look at Your young sons and daughters with compassion. Allow us to know Your situation, which You cannot speak about, although You have so many words of counsel and comfort for us. We have gathered here as Your sons and daughters. We cannot help but inform You, Father, of our sorrowful hearts. We are being hounded this way and that on account of the heavenly will, with no regard for our sorrow, our loneliness, our oppression and despair.

Allow us to unburden ourselves and talk things over with You today. Let us reveal all our circumstances to You and reach a mutual understanding. Father, I ardently wish and pray that You will allow this to be a time when we shed all the circumstances of our difficult pasts before You. By becoming people in whom You can take delight, we pray to be able to vow: “I will be a pure, sacrificial offering for the sake of this path even at the risk of my life.”

We understand that the heavenly will cannot be accomplished by words alone; nor can it be accomplished only by devotion. We long to have minds and hearts that deeply resonate with Your will. We long to make frantic efforts for the sake of Heaven, forgetting everything else. We want to bow our heads with awe-stricken hearts that there is a moment and a place wherein we can sing glory to the Father with such longing hearts. Thus, Father, I pray that You will visit us in this hour, knowing how sincere our intentions are and how ardent our hearts.

Up until the present, you have lived
as you please. Now things are serious,
however. You are responsible for whether
you are losers or winners. That responsi-
bility does not lie with me, but with you.
Will you return to your hometown with
the title of loser or with the victory of
a winner? Which one is it? You should
return with the victorious foundation
of God and True Parents. With this you
can advance to your hometown. Because
your hometown is the world condensed
and because it is a reflection of my fam-
ily, you should think of God’s and True
Parents’ history of indemnity as you
work to fulfill your responsibility, and
you should tearfully welcome the people
who come to you. When someone visits,
you should have such a heart that you
can talk with him all night without ever

The spiritual standard of the growth
stage has been established on the nation-
al level. In establishing the global stan-
dard, since the spiritual foundation of
Christianity works as the global founda-
tion, the substantial global standard had
to be connected to the Christian cultural
sphere. To do this, I went to the United
States and carried out revival activities
nationwide. Wherever I went, I was wel-
comed. In this manner, I connected all
this foundation in America to Korea as
the representative of the national stan-
dard. That was how I returned to Korea

Luke 15: 11-32

¹¹Jesus also told them another story:

Once a man had two sons. ¹²The younger son said to his father, “Give me my share of the property.” So the father divided his property between his two sons.

¹³Not long after that, the younger son packed up everything he owned and left for a foreign country, where he wasted all his money in wild living. ¹⁴He had spent everything, when a bad famine spread through that whole land. Soon he had nothing to eat.

¹⁵He went to work for a man in that country, and the man sent him out to take care of his pigs.^[a] ¹⁶He would have been glad to eat what the pigs were eating,^[b] but no one gave him a thing.

¹⁷Finally, he came to his senses and said, “My father’s workers have plenty to eat, and here I am, starving to death! ¹⁸I will go to my father and say to him, ‘Father, I have sinned against God in heaven and against you. ¹⁹I am no longer good enough to be called your son. Treat me like one of your workers.’”

²⁰The younger son got up and started back to his father. But when he was still a long way off, his father saw him and felt sorry for him. He ran to his son and hugged and kissed him.

²¹The son said, “Father, I have sinned against God in heaven and against you. I am no longer good enough to be called your son.”

²²But his father said to the servants, “Hurry and bring the best clothes and put them on him. Give him a ring for his finger and sandals^[c] for his feet. ²³Get the best calf and prepare it, so we can eat and celebrate. ²⁴This son of mine was dead, but has now come back to life. He was lost and has now been found.” And they began to celebrate.

²⁵The older son had been out in the field. But when he came near the house, he heard the music and dancing. ²⁶So he called one of the servants over and asked, “What’s going on here?”

²⁷The servant answered, “Your brother has come home safe and sound, and your father ordered us to kill the best calf.” ²⁸The older brother got so angry that he would not even go into the house.

His father came out and begged him to go in. ²⁹But he said to his father, “For years I have worked for you like a slave and have always obeyed you. But you have never even given me a little goat, so that I could give a dinner for my friends. ³⁰This other son of yours wasted your money on prostitutes. And now that he has come home, you ordered the best calf to be killed for a feast.”

Prayer

Having struggled hard in the darkness, we have gathered once again this day, longing for the Father. Please enable our minds to abide with Yours now. Please enable our minds and bodies to move as one with You.

Heedless of Your own limitless toil, You endured much to accompany our ancestors throughout the different eras and centuries. We also know that You took many pains to open up a new path for our ancestors. Nevertheless, our ancestors trampled underfoot the meritorious deeds of Heaven, which were accomplished with such toil. They became shameful by causing Your heart concern. Please forgive them.

We have learned that the sins of our ancestors are a matter of great and lasting regret. We know that the rueful deeds of the Fall have caused countless human beings to fall into misery for six thousand years. We are afraid that we might inherit the wayward minds of our ancestors, who throughout history betrayed and grieved the heart of the Father. We are in the final days, when we must go over the hill of regret due to the Fall and tread down the bitter resentment our ancestors left behind. We must rise up. Please allow our minds to be stimulated by Your mind now. Father, I ardently wish and pray that You will allow us the hour of glory when our bodies can represent Yours.

Who is to make the tearful appeal, having harmonized with the Father’s heart? Who is to fight representing the Father’s situation? Countless people are living on this earth, and each person lives in their own respective style. However, there are very few people who know that the Father has been going through the history of sorrow again and again because there has been no region or person who could reciprocate with Him in the matters of the heart He keeps within His bosom. Since we now know this sorrowful and bitter inner heart of the Father, please let this be the hour when we relieve our minds and unburden ourselves, grafting everything onto Him.

Father, let this be the hour when we allow absolutely nothing of ourselves. Let us rejoice only where we have been grafted onto the Father. We cannot help but appeal to the Father with all our hearts now.

These humble people have knelt down this day in honor of the heavenly emotion. My Father, You who understand our pitiful situation, You who have accompanied us and fought in miserable circumstances for us, please receive us. We have prostrated ourselves before You with concentrated minds. We are aware that we must belong to You and be governed by You. That is why we have come forth, heedless of the long years we have toiled along life’s journey to attend You with our hearts and souls. That is why we have come, patiently scaling even the difficult and regrettable peak of danger.

There is No Distance or Limitation in the World of the Heart

Even if you go to another coun-
try, you should offer that nation first to
heaven, devoting all your effort for that
nation so it does not fall behind other
nations – as if you were unifying your
own country. In the Old Testament Age,
all things were offered; in the New Testa-
ment Age, the offering was the sons and
daughters. In the Completed Testament
Age, it is our own couples; and next it is
God. Through the Fall, we could not be
with God on earth. We separated from
God and served Satan, so now we should
bring God in and connect everything
back together. Therefore, your posses-
sions are not really your own. Things
correspond to the Old Testament Age,
and sons and daughters correspond
to the New Testament Age. In the Old
Testament Age, the things of creation
were sacrificed to pave the road for the
sons and daughters. Today, the return-
ing Lord, the True Parent, suffers here
to bring God to this earth. Since human
beings brought Satan to earth, it has
been made into hell. We must bring God
here. We must do this through true love.
Re-creation is accomplished through
the origin of true love that invests and
invests and forgets about it. All things,
children, and one’s own self that can
serve God must be linked through true
love and acknowledged as possessions of
God. When these are connected to true
love, you will receive your share again
and become connected to the age of chil-
dren’s possessions. These will be distrib-
uted for ownership to mother, father,and

Kim Il-sung was very interested in
the Blessing, and asked “Are you real-
ly going to conduct a mass wedding of
30,000 couples?” He could not figure out
how we would go about blessing 30,000
couples. I told him, “Thirty thousand
couples is nothing.” I could tell they
were thinking that if I were ever to bless
30,000 couples, they would very much
like to see photographs of the ceremony.
So I sent photos of the event and they
were shown to Kim Jong-il and Kim
Il-sung. The photographs of the 30,000
Couples Blessing are not displayed in
the Blue House (Office of the President
of South Korea), but they are hanging on
the office walls of Kim Il-sung and Kim
Jong-il. Was I right in doing that or not?
As a result, the gates to China and Rus-
sia were opened. Now all that remains
for me to do is to open the gates to North

Prayer

Father, if anyone possessed a true mind and true body, he would surely long for life in the original world. After the creation of heaven, earth and all things, You felt so much happiness in seeing the first original human beings, Adam and Eve! They could directly relate to You before the fall. How precious was their position of glory, from which our ancestors should have been able to relate to You! Please grant that this hour be one of admiring the original world. We sincerely hope and long for the heart of goodness which can cause a direct reaction from Your heart. We hope and long for the form of original goodness which can hold Your hands. We long for our original ancestors.

Even on earth, we know that there is no distance or limitation of time or space in the world of the heart. Please allow us to long for our original form, which is the form of our original ancestors, born of the heart of infinite love. We are still asleep, struggling and wandering aimlessly in the realm of death. Please allow us to shed tears of longing for our original form. Allow us to struggle in search of You as our Creator. Father, we earnestly ask You to grant us the experience of beauty in our minds and bodies, which can harmonize with the atmosphere, the environment, and all things of that original world.

All people of the world are proudly asserting themselves, yet they are striving only to make themselves visible and higher without acquiring the original form for which You long. Your words convey the message that Your sorrow in facing humanity has penetrated heaven and earth. Having lost their owner, all things remain in the realm of lamentation. We realize this. Father, please do not permit us to become forgetful of our responsibility to transcend this realm of lamentation and to liberate You.

God Has Brought New Truth in This Age

Prayer

We feel in our bones that the history of toil by which humanity must regain the land of Zion remains with us. This land has not become a place where true people with original hearts live. You could not establish the remnants of the original heart on this earth. Father, please allow us to be Your children who can comfort Your sorrowful heart of lonely battling on, as You longed for the original world. Father! We cannot help having a fearful mind as we recall the course of Your sorrowful history. We cannot help being overwhelmed every time we face Your suffering, holy presence. Father, please raise these as Your children who can offer their minds and bodies to You, who can lighten the burden from Your shoulder and stop Your suffering.

You have been longing for the victorious day when You could rejoice and sing the song of liberation from a state of happiness. We realize, however, that You are not the one who must bring about the liberation. We must do it, humanity, struggling in the realm of death.

Man and Woman Should Marry and Give Birth to Children

The work you are engaged in is that of
creation. Your life is the life of love seek-
ing the path to console God and come
in contact with the world of His love. In
such a life you will not feel tired though
you may work your whole life striving
to fulfill God’s will. Live with the notion
that you will make, from what God has
created just for the fun of it, souvenirs to
take to heaven with you. This is what the
True Parents are doing as they explore
nature and all the sights in the world, be
that on the sea, the five oceans and six
continents, or in the rivers, mountains,
and various other land forms.
Will you also follow their lifestyle,
working to liberate the realm of nature,
from its lament, with God’s love, or will
you choose to stay stuck in a big city,
centered on yourselves, destroying the
environment, creating pollution, and
being parents who block the way for
your children to develop their soulful-
ness? After considering the two options,
Unification Church members natural-
ly choose to follow my way of loving
nature, and so it will be possible to build
the ideal Kingdom of Heaven wherein
cities will be decentralized and natural-
ized, and where we will live in harmony

Richard:I remember that in my later years in high school we lived in a rural area. At night it was quite dark, and I would lie down outside and marvel at the stars and I absolutely knew that God existed. ” being parents who block the way for your children to develop their soulfulness” is a concerning statement. In cities our children are robbed of such an experience. I highly recommend, as stated above, moving out of the city environment and into a more natural setting.

This universe is a museum of love.
Human beings must become the own-
ers of this museum. The mineral world
and plant world multiply centering on
relationships of love. Without love, his-
tory would end. History can continue
because there is reproduction. Conse-
quently, man and woman should mar-
ry and give birth to children. Without
doing so, they cannot find their place in
the spirit world. When a baby is born,
you should come before God and offer
that baby as a gift to Him. Without
this gift, you cannot hold your head up
proudly.

Richard: Such a simple core truth, yet so lost on so many today. Knowing the joy that sexual intercourse can bring to God through couples blessed in marriage, how can we just use that gift as we please and even abort babies?

Longing for Eden

Genesis 2: 1-25

2 So the heavens and the earth and everything else were created.

²By the seventh day God had finished his work, and so he rested. ³God blessed the seventh day and made it special because on that day he rested from his work.

⁴That’s how God created the heavens and the earth.

When the Lord God made the heavens and the earth, ⁵no grass or plants were growing anywhere. God had not yet sent any rain, and there was no one to work the land. ⁶But streams^[a] came up from the ground and watered the earth.

⁷The Lord God took a handful of soil and made a man.^[b] God breathed life into the man, and the man started breathing. ⁸The Lord made a garden in a place called Eden, which was in the east, and he put the man there.

⁹The Lord God placed all kinds of beautiful trees and fruit trees in the garden. Two other trees were in the middle of the garden. One of the trees gave life—the other gave the power to know the difference between right and wrong.

¹⁰From Eden a river flowed out to water the garden, then it divided into four rivers. ¹¹The first one is the Pishon River that flows through the land of Havilah, ¹²where pure gold, rare perfumes, and precious stones are found. ¹³The second is the Gihon River that winds through Ethiopia.^[c] ¹⁴The Tigris River that flows east of Assyria is the third, and the fourth is the Euphrates River.

¹⁵The Lord God put the man in the Garden of Eden to take care of it and to look after it. ¹⁶But the Lord told him, “You may eat fruit from any tree in the garden, ¹⁷except the one that has the power to let you know the difference between right and wrong. If you eat any fruit from that tree, you will die before the day is over!”

¹⁸The Lord God said, “It isn’t good for the man to live alone. I need to make a suitable partner for him.” ^19-20So the Lord took some soil and made animals and birds. He brought them to the man to see what names he would give each of them. Then the man named the tame animals and the birds and the wild animals. That’s how they got their names.

None of these was the right kind of partner for the man. ²¹So the LordGod made him fall into a deep sleep, and he took out one of the man’s ribs. Then after closing the man’s side, ²²the Lord made a woman out of the rib.

The Lord God brought her to the man, ²³and the man exclaimed,

“Here is someone like me!
She is part of my body,
my own flesh and bones.
She came from me, a man.
So I will name her Woman!”^[d]

²⁴That’s why a man will leave his own father and mother. He marries a woman, and the two of them become like one person.

²⁵Although the man and his wife were both naked, they were not ashamed.

Prayer

Father, please allow us to feel how You lamented over not having had even one original person who could see the original world. Father, please permit us to think about Your sorrow over not having had one day in which You could rejoice with humanity, even though we have inherited Your original nature. Please grant that we may experience Your sorrow directly and personally in this hour. We ask this sincerely.
Please forgive the fault of the human ancestors who brought sorrowful lamentation to You. With great ideals, You dreamed of the joyful garden. We also sincerely ask You to forgive the sin of our ancestors, who caused You to persevere through the historical course of pain and hardship to recover that garden of hope.
We know and believe that You will remove the thousands of years of painful resentment and victoriously fulfill Your ideal. Father, we desire to offer everything we have for that purpose. Please rule that mind and will in us, and guide us to be the sons and daughters who can bring about that victorious standard.
If there was a time when we did not have an earnest heart toward Your will, Your heart, and Your ideal during the past week, please forgive us. Father, please forgive us for not having the unified standard, even though we earnestly desire to be connected to Your heart.
We know Your heart experienced sorrow as You worked with our ancestors in the historical course. Loving Father, we sincerely hope and ask that You allow us to be the true sons and daughters who are willing to take responsibility for the failures of our ancestors and humanity at this time of the last days and who can comfort Your pain-filled heart. Father, please have compassion upon us. We have knelt in front of You to offer our bows, although we are unqualified and unfaithful.
If any of us hold an unrighteous and wrong view or concept in Your presence, please eliminate it totally and allow no such thing. We earnestly hope and desire that You create an inspired and grateful heart in our minds and bodies at this time with which we can share and rejoice together with Your heart. Please make the numerous saints and heavenly angels rejoice together with us and return the glory of that happiness to You.
We hope that this hour of our offering can be a time when we can comfort and liberate You, the one who experienced the sorrow in that original garden. Father, we wish to offer our inadequate prayers and offerings. Father, please protect this hour from beginning to end with Your shield of victory and Your flaming eyes, so that Satan may not invade and You will totally subjugate us.
Please eliminate all unrighteous natures from our hearts and instill instead the original heart that we may work with You and that this hour may be one of happy offering. As we ask all these things, we pray in the name of the Lord. Amen.
