As an absolute being with an abso-
lute ideal for His creation, God pursues
beings who can relate to Him with abso-
lute value. This is something that cannot
be exchanged for anything in this world.
A being that can relate to God has a val-
ue that is greater than that of God Him-
self. The term “the value of one’s coun-
terpart” seems difficult to comprehend.
The value of a partner, of any being as a
counterpart, is so great that it cannot be
exchanged for anything or anyone, even
for God. God cannot exchange it with
Himself, for if He did, He would be left
alone as a result. He would be left all by
Himself.
This is why God invests Himself and
exhausts His own strength and His own
energy. He is engaged in a war of attri-
tion. The forms of existence thus creat-
ed with relational value that cannot be
exchanged for God Himself are human
beings. The form of existence with abso-
lute value is none other than human-
kind. God created people as beings of
value with such an idea. (68-134, 1973.7.29)

Why do people get married? It is to
love God. Why should we love God? It
is because we need to become one with
the axis of God. What are we trying to
achieve by becoming one with God?
What happens when we become one
with Him? Why should we become one
with God? Centering on the absolute
God and his eternal love, we can achieve
eternal life. And this is not all. From the
place where we come to meet with Him,
the right of inheritance of the universe is
bequeathed. The world created by God,
centering on love, belongs to Him, but
that world can become mine through
the right of inheritance. (136-39, 1985.12.20)

The Heart of Jesus Who Must Restore All Tasks

When Jacob ran away from Esau and was on the way to the house of his Uncle Laban to lay the foundation for Israel, there was a time when he slept in the wilderness with a stone for his pillow. When he was living as a shepherd in the house of Laban, what kind of mind-set did he have? Jacob tried to have the same heart of love with which God loved his relatives. He tried to inherit the heart of God who had loved and worried about his relatives for 2,000 years. He tried his best to soothe Heaven’s heart of grief, bound up in sorrow. As you can see, it was a period of hardship, the purpose of which was to allow Jacob to inherit the tormented heart of Heaven. Continue reading “The False Will Be Shattered and Eventually Disappear”

Who are your children’s best friends?
Not young guys from the neighboring
village. Their best friends are none oth-
er than their parents. That is as it should
be. Moreover, parents should be liked
by their children even more than their
friends. That is how you should think.
Therefore, parents must be their chil-
dren’s best friends and best teachers.
In educating their children, parents
should not say, “Hey you, don’t do that!”
and teachers should not say, “You brat,
I will hit you in the calf if you don’t do
what I told you. Don’t do that!” They
should educate them in love. Parents
should educate their children in such a
way that if they are asked, “Hey, do you
think you should do that?” they would
reply, “Right, this is not good because if
I did it my parents would be sad.” Thus,
parents ought to be their children’s best
friends and teachers.

The Heart of Jesus Who Must Restore All Tasks

You might think you can go to Heaven if you hold the Bible at your side and sit comfortably singing hymns and praying, but this is far from the truth. The reason you can receive the grace of Heaven, even in such a position, is because of the effort God has made in seeking you, even as He was ostracized, trampled upon, and has had to circle repeatedly. You can receive the grace of Heaven because of the merit of the many ancestors of faith who have suffered much persecution to raise us. Therefore, the Christians today who are living in the last days, must realize that they have the mission to restore the world, even if they have to sacrifice themselves. You have to sense this. Leviticus 14

10 On the eighth day you must bring to the priest two rams and a year-old female lamb that have nothing wrong with them; also bring a half pint of olive oil and six pounds of your finest flour mixed with oil. 11 Then the priest will present you and your offerings to me at the entrance to my sacred tent. 12 There he will offer one of the rams, together with the pint of oil, as a sacrifice to make things right.[b] He will also lift them up[c] to show that they are dedicated to me. 13 This sacrifice is very holy. It belongs to the priest and must be killed in the same place where animals are killed as sacrifices for sins and as sacrifices to please me.[d]

Richard:  The Providence of restoration requires things to be “made right”.  It is important to stay in God’s word and will.  Daily study of scripture is an important part of this.

2nd Samuel

Abner the son of Ner[a] had been the general of Saul’s army. He took Saul’s son Ishbosheth[b] across the Jordan River to Mahanaim and made him king of Israel,[c] including the areas of Gilead, Asher,[d] Jezreel, Ephraim, and Benjamin. 10 Ishbosheth was forty years old at the time, and he ruled for two years. But the tribe of Judah made David their king, 11 and he ruled from Hebron for seven and a half years.

Now, even if you are driven out and mistreated, you must say, “Okay. Our Lord and bridegroom silently passed away on the cross after he declared, “It is finished.” (John 19:30) From now on, there will no longer be any need for signboards and denominations. There will come a true ideal world where it does not matter if people are different. Continue reading “Jesus was Ostracized and Driven Out”

Love can fill anywhere, and reach
everywhere. What do you think happens
when loving people embrace each other?
Do they just hold each other’s hands and
say, “I love you”? Perhaps they would
like to be hugged so strongly that their
eye balls pop out and water comes out
from their nose and mouth. When they
embrace, they don’t just stand still but
turn around. The universe will turn only
when they become one in love like this.

The Unification Church is presenting
the world with absolute values, and at the
same time, True Parents. Where is the
final destination of the standard of abso-
lute values, the one desired by everyone?
It is to become sons and daughters of
True Parents. It is to become God’s chil-
dren, who can harbor eternal life and
love. There is no other way. At the time of
the Fall, Adam and Eve did not establish
their conjugal relationship with God’s
permission. They did so of their own
accord. The only relationship that began
with God’s consent was that between
father and son. Yet, that was shattered,
and therefore needs to be restored and
rectified. (68 -138, 1973.7.29)

The Heart of Jesus Who Must Restore All Tasks

Jesus knew that he had the mission to transcend himself and restore the family, society, nation, world, and even the infinite spirit world. Therefore, Jesus sought individuals in order to find a people. He sought a people for the sake of finding the world. Jesus has made effort for the 2,000 years since his death to find the world and transform the whole of heaven and earth into a place God governs. Accordingly, there was no way that he could reveal the deep content of the heart and will of God to the people who came before him and were supposed to fulfill this cosmic plan. You have to understand that Jesus was in this kind of miserable situation. This is why Jesus said, “I have yet many things to say to you, but you cannot bear them now. (John 16:12) Continue reading “Possess God’s Heart Towards Humanity”

The Bible says that you cannot enter
the Kingdom of Heaven unless you are
like a little child. What does this mean?
Children only have their mother and
father. When they eat, when they sleep,
and at all times, they are with their
mother and father. Even when they grow
up and get married, they cannot forget
about their father and mother. They can
never forget these words.
God is our Father. God the Father is
the vertical father and the True Father
is the horizontal father. Therefore, you
have to learn Mother and Father’s lan-
guage and customs so as to be able to go
to your original hometown, or wherever
you go, and fit into that nation. What do
Parents wish to achieve through paying
all this historical indemnity? They wish
to liberate all people. Why? Because
God’s liberation requires the liberation
of humankind. (225-19, 1992.1.1)

2 Kings 7

About the same time, four men with leprosy[a] were just outside the gate of Samaria. They said to each other, “Why should we sit here, waiting to die? There’s nothing to eat in the city, so we would starve if we went inside. But if we stay out here, we will die for sure. Let’s sneak over to the Syrian army camp and surrender. They might kill us, but they might not.” 5-8 That evening the four men got up and left for the Syrian camp.

As they walked toward the camp, the Lord caused the Syrian troops to hear what sounded like the roar of a huge cavalry. The soldiers said to each other, “Listen! The king of Israel must have hired Hittite and Egyptian troops to attack us. Let’s get out of here!” So they ran out of their camp that night, leaving their tents and horses and donkeys.

When the four men with leprosy reached the edge of the Syrian camp, no one was there. They walked into one of the tents, where they ate and drank, before carrying off clothes, as well as silver and gold. They hid all this, then walked into another tent; they took what they wanted and hid it too.

When Jesus saw that the three disciples failed to stay up with him through the night as he was praying alone in the Garden of Gethsemane, why was he unable to chastise them? It was because he realized the heart of God, who could not chastise or judge, though there had been many people who had opposed Him in the 4,000 years. Similarly, you must experience the heart of Jesus that his disciples could not experience. Continue reading “Jesus’ Love for the Father”
