Words of Truth Can Substantially Restore this Fallen World

Luke 13

12 When Jesus saw the woman, he called her over and said, “You are now well.” 13 He placed his hands on her, and right away she stood up straight and praised God.

Richard:  I believe I can help people heal by prayer and the laying of hands.

Isaiah 59

You don’t know how
to live in peace
    or to be fair with others.
The roads you make are crooked;
your followers cannot find peace.

Find the One that Brings the Words Lost in the Garden of Eden

Mark 12

13 The Pharisees got together with Herod’s followers.[a] Then they sent some men to trick Jesus into saying something wrong. 14 They went to him and said, “Teacher, we know that you are honest. You treat everyone with the same respect, no matter who they are. And you teach the truth about what God wants people to do. Tell us, should we pay taxes to the Emperor or not?”

15 Jesus knew what they were up to, and he said, “Why are you trying to test me? Show me a coin!”

16 They brought him a silver coin, and he asked, “Whose picture and name are on it?”

“The Emperor’s,” they answered.

17 Then Jesus told them, “Give the Emperor what belongs to him and give God what belongs to God.” The men were amazed at Jesus.

Isaiah 63

But his people remembered
what had happened
    during the time of Moses.[d]
Didn’t the Lord[e] bring them
and their leaders
    safely through the sea?
Didn’t he[f] give them
    his Holy Spirit?
12 The glorious power of the Lord
    marched beside Moses.
The Lord will be praised forever
    for dividing the sea.

Protect the Path of Jesus

Romans 14

10You, then, why do you judge your brother or sistera ? Or why do you treat them with contempt? For we will all stand before God’s judgment seat. 11It is written:

“ ‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,

‘every knee will bow before me;

every tongue will acknowledge God.’ ”b

12So then, each of us will give an account of ourselves to God.

Ezekiel 44

21No priest is to drink wine when he enters the inner court. 22They must not marry widows or divorced women; they may marry only virgins of Israelite descent or widows of priests. 23They are to teach my people the difference between the holy and the common and show them how to distinguish between the unclean and the clean.

Become an Heir of Jesus

Numbers 24

1Now when Balaam saw that it pleased the Lord to bless Israel, he did not resort to divination as at other times, but turned his face toward the wilderness. 2When Balaam looked out and saw Israel encamped tribe by tribe, the Spirit of God came on him 3and he spoke his message:

“The prophecy of Balaam son of Beor,

the prophecy of one whose eye sees clearly,

4the prophecy of one who hears the words of God,

who sees a vision from the Almighty,a

who falls prostrate, and whose eyes are opened:

5“How beautiful are your tents, Jacob,

your dwelling places, Israel!

6“Like valleys they spread out,

like gardens beside a river,

like aloes planted by the Lord,

like cedars beside the waters.

7Water will flow from their buckets;

their seed will have abundant water.

“Their king will be greater than Agag;

their kingdom will be exalted.

8“God brought them out of Egypt;

they have the strength of a wild ox.

They devour hostile nations

and break their bones in pieces;

with their arrows they pierce them.

9Like a lion they crouch and lie down,

like a lioness—who dares to rouse them?

“May those who bless you be blessed

and those who curse you be cursed!”

Ezekiel 21

1The word of the Lord came to me: 2“Son of man, set your face against Jerusalem and preach against the sanctuary.

Richard:  If we know something is wrong, we have to preach against it.
