Luke 12: 26-43

The title of the speech I would like to reflect upon with you today is “Who Will Become the Friend of Golgotha?”

As you well know, Golgotha means the place of the skull and thus is the place of death. To become a friend of Golgotha means to become a friend of death. Christians believe in Jesus of Golgotha. Golgotha reminds us of the cross of Jesus, and the cross reminds us of his internal character. His internal character reminds us that God grieved over his death. With the dying Jesus, Heaven was stricken with sorrow and the earth took delight. Jesus came for the sake of the earth and Heaven; yet only Heaven understood him as he died for Heaven and earth. The Lord answered:

Stop lying there on the ground! Get up! ¹¹I said everything in Jericho belonged to me and had to be destroyed. But the Israelites have kept some of the things for themselves. They stole from me and hid what they took. Then they lied about it. ¹²What they stole was supposed to be destroyed, and now Israel itself must be destroyed. ¹³Tell the people of Israel, “Tomorrow you will meet with the Lord your God, so make yourselves acceptable to worship him. The Lord says that you have taken things that should have been destroyed. You won’t be able to stand up to your enemies until you get rid of those things.

Daniel 5

When Daniel was brought in, the king said:

So you are Daniel, one of the captives my father brought back from Judah! ¹⁴I was told that the gods have given you special powers and that you are intelligent and very wise. ¹⁵Neither my advisors nor the men who talk with the spirits of the dead could read this writing or tell me what it means. ¹⁶But I have been told that you understand everything and that you can solve difficult problems. Now then, if you can read this writing and tell me what it means, you will become the third most powerful man in my kingdom. You will wear royal purple robes and have a gold chain around your neck.

There can be only one conclusion of
all human values. What is at the core of
that conclusion? It is true love. If you
were asked what true love is, you would
not be able to define it. The ideological
view of the Unification Church is to cre-
ate one world based on love. It dictates
clearly and in concrete terms how an
individual, a family, and a tribe should
live. That set of laws is not just some con-
ception of Rev. Moon. It reflects the laws
of heaven. Otherwise, we would not be

From the theoretical perspective,
there will no longer be anything to
explain with regard to God’s will. Every-
thing has been completed. The time has
now come for us to turn over a new leaf.
Now that we are carrying on the histo-
ry bequeathed to us from God and True
Parents, the era of registration will soon
arrive. Then you will have to be regis-
tered. Have you all become like God and
True Parents in the position of sons and
daughters of God? It is easy to say, but
not to fulfill. Whether asleep or awake,
you must always keep this in mind. These
thoughts must accompany you wherever
you go, and whatever you do, whether
you are eating or sleeping. In order to
do so, you need to experience residing
in the homeland before passing on to the

Through the Fall, everything that
should not exist, everything that is con-
trary to the way of heaven, is overflowing
in this world. It all needs to be eradicat-
ed. It needs to be separated from God’s
world. Words alone are not enough to
achieve this. The world is filled with the
variegated customs and habitual life-
styles of different races, from the vari-
ous historical and cultural backgrounds
which are connected to each other only
through the love, life, and lineage of
Satan. Therefore, it will not be easy to
eliminate all this.
This is the reason why it is written
in the Bible, those who seek to die will
live. This is how the paradoxical logic
is formed. Those who seek to die will
live. In other words, you need to invest
your life into this. Therefore, everything
needs to be bleached and washed, that is,
restored through indemnity. Such a pro-
cess is absolutely necessary. If this is not
carried out, and you are still left with the
habitual tendencies or criminal nature
as remnants of the satanic world, you
cannot form a relationship with God.

The Lord said to Moses:

Hurry back down! Those people you led out of Egypt are acting like fools. ⁸They have already stopped obeying me and have made themselves an idol in the shape of a young bull. They have bowed down to it, offered sacrifices, and said that it is the god who brought them out of Egypt. ⁹Moses, I have seen how stubborn these people are, ¹⁰and I’m angry enough to destroy them, so don’t try to stop me. But I will make your descendants into a great nation.

1 Chronicles 21

21 Satan decided to cause trouble for Israel by making David think it was a good idea to find out how many people there were in Israel and Judah. ²David told Joab and the army commanders, “Count everyone in Israel, from the town of Beersheba in the south all the way north to Dan. Then I will know how many people can serve in my army.”

³Joab answered, “Your Majesty, even if the Lord made your kingdom a hundred times larger, you would still rule everyone in it. Why do you need to know how many soldiers there are? Don’t you think that would make the whole nation angry?”

⁴But David would not change his mind. And so Joab went everywhere in Israel and Judah and counted the people. He returned to Jerusalem ⁵and told David that the total number of men who could serve in the army was one million one hundred thousand in Israel and four hundred seventy thousand in Judah. ⁶Joab refused to include anyone from the tribes of Levi and Benjamin, because he still disagreed with David’s orders.

Since True Father knows the heart
of God very deeply, just one word from
anyone will restart the flow of tears from
his eyes. The fact that God, who should
rule freely over the whole universe and
govern all the nations, had His ideal
trampled upon, the ideal of His being the
sovereign of all sovereigns and reigning
over all of humanity in the parent-child
relationship with the authority and pow-
er of the king of all ages is a truly mor-
tifying reality. At this time, the day of
glory on which we will rise up, defeat all
the evil powers of this world, and restore
the sovereignty longed for by God is now

You must understand that the day of
hope, on which we can live in an indepen-
dent state centered on God, will be the
most precious time on earth which can-
not be exchanged for anything. Among
those who have passed on to the spirit
world, there is not one person who has
lived in the realm of a nation centered
on God. True Father knows this. Though
I have put the members of the Unifica-
tion Church through many hardships,
do you realize what a prestigious thing
it is to have the original human nature
and to live in dignity as citizens before
the sovereign, in the restored providen-
tial nation?
This is the standard according to
which True Father has lived his whole
life. Though I gave many people trou-
ble, I did so in my fight for the day of
glory, when we can put our whole heart
into dedicating everything in our life of
attendance to God, who is the sovereign
of the nation of which we are the citi-
zens. (164-216, 1987.5.16)
The homeland that we need to reclaim
is not an existing nation on earth with
its own history and traditions. It is com-
pletely different from those other nations
in essence. In order for us to be able to
inherit such a nation that stands on a
completely different level from others,
we need to become citizens with appro-
priate ideological proactivity. That pro-
active ideology should be in accord with
the ideology of the absolute Creator.
For a nation desired by the Absolute
Being to exist, you should yearn for that
nation to be one in which the citizens
would be united together centering on
the nation’s sovereignty. Therefore, the
nation should take form based on such a
standard of citizenship. Because you did
not qualify as the people who can main-
tain such a nation, that nation could not
be established. (49-93, 1971.10.9)

Presidents Should Register Their Nations

2 Chronicles 17

¹²As Jehoshaphat became more powerful, he built fortresses and cities ¹³where he stored supplies. He also kept in Jerusalem some experienced soldiers ¹⁴from the Judah and Benjamin tribes. These soldiers were grouped according to their clans.

3.2. Four-Position Foundation
Registration
You cannot be registered unless you
have the foundation of a family. The True
Parents are the family of the world rep-
resenting the foundation of the Blessing
based on the family, and so you must
bear in mind that there is no other way
to be registered other than by forming
an objective realm with them. In other
words, you need to register the birth of
your family. In this place, where a peace-
ful environment and the unified realm
of the will of God begin, the fact that you
are registered by family indicates that
the nation itself can be restored instant-
ly. (269-55, 1995.4.7)
Because of the Fall of the family of
Adam and Eve, everything was regis-
tered in the name of Satan. At this time,
centering on your family, your nations
and everything in the world need to be
returned to God and registered in His
name. This is the way of the Principle.
The Fall occurred centering on the fam-
ily. Therefore, it needs to be indemni-
fied. Since this principle is now in effect,
if there were any presidents in the world,
their nations should be brought before
God to be registered. On the day of reg-
istration, the entire nation would be

Beware of Idols

Exodus 32

¹⁹As Moses got closer to the camp, he saw the idol, and he also saw the people dancing around. This made him so angry that he threw down the stones and broke them to pieces at the foot of the mountain. ²⁰He melted the idol the people had made, and he ground it into powder. He scattered it in their water and made them drink it. ²¹Moses asked Aaron, “What did these people do to harm you? Why did you make them sin in this terrible way?”

Richard: Beware of the idols of money, power and social acceptance.

If you watch TV for a month, you
come to know everything about how
people live in this world. Everything
becomes very predictable and you
become tired of it. This is why you have
to understand the spirit world. You must
know the spirit world.
When you offer your prayer with
sincerity, the image of the spirit world
will unfold. How wonderful that will be!
Angels will come down and dance. Even
those famous people from hundreds of
years ago will gather to dance. How
wonderful! These are not fanciful ideas.

The perfection of self involves per-
fecting the absolute true love, absolute
true life, absolute true lineage, and abso-
lute true conscience. After achieving
this, one can then go on to restore the
family lost through the Fall and settle
down. Since True Parents have settled
down, you also need to follow in their
footsteps by becoming tribal messiahs,
connecting together 160 couples, and
taking possession of 160 nations.
By doing so, you will be able to travel
freely to and fro between the Kingdom
of God in heaven and on earth. This is
something you need to inherit at any
cost, and so it is unavoidable. Only by
accomplishing this task can you be reg-
istered, and only after being registered
can you possess the Kingdom of Heaven
on earth and in spirit world. Only after
being registered can you claim it to be
your nation and your kingdom. (268-88,
