Don’t the established churches of today maintain that Christians will go to heaven just by believing in Jesus? We say that we will build, and then go to the Kingdom of Heaven. The Kingdom of Heaven is empty at present. Since the ideal form of family as originally intended has not been realized and all attempts to create the ideal family have failed, the Messiah must come and complete the family ideal at his Second Advent. Since you cannot find me, you might say, “Rev. Moon went to hell.” Would it be easy to stay at the highest point? “I will not freeze to death at the North Pole. 4.7. Heaven is a life of living for the sake of others

    Young people do not know this principle. If you have twenty friends, then who remains as the center of all your friends? If you insist, “All of you should live for my sake!” they will all run away from you. If a person lives for the sake of those friends for ten years, twenty years, until his life ends, even in death; then, if there is a spirit world, everyone will gather around that person. Similarly, you need to initiate a great physiological revolution. But due to the Fall, we have not yet reached the standard of using all our senses. What is lovemaking like for animals? You watched the movie earlier today, didn’t you? In the Dong River located in Gangwon Province you can find Hemibarbus mylodon, a type of fish with no sexual organs. There is a line running through the body of the fish, and that is their sexual organ. When the females give off their odor in heat, the males rub their bodies against the line on the bodies of the females, and there is a spark. Then the males secrete seminal fluid. It is truly amazing. How are they able to lay eggs in water? That is how they make love. (301-195, 1999.4.26)

    Are we people with whom God can live? No. We need a savior. What kind of person is this savior? He is the one who substantiates the bond with True Parents. From this perspective, how extraordinary the bond with True Parents is! Thanks to True Parents, I am able to begin a true life, and undertake a relationship of new life. Through this relationship of life, you are able to initiate new families, new societies, new nations and a new world. Also, you must realize that through that relationship, you can obtain the essential factors for the victory to resolve all the paths of life and death of the past two millennia.

The Japanese and Koreans held divergent views: where Korea’s admiral Yi Soon-shin was the enemy of Japan, Ito Hirobumi was Korea’s enemy. That is how it was. At those points, both Korea and Japan were trying to stand in the center. Each and every country has its own heroes, but not all of them have saints. Heroes love their country, but not the world. Had Ito Hirobumi loved Asia and the world more, he would not have perpetrated the atrocities that he did. (229-247, 1992.4.12)

    All the things of creation are the foundation upon which God’s children can be created, a foundation which is related and connected to them. This includes everything from the animal kingdom down to the mineral world. Plus and minus can be found in the mineral kingdom, just as there are stamen and pistil in the plant kingdom and male and female in the animal kingdom.
    The greatest masterpiece of all, created by amalgamating both spiritual and physical elements from all the rest of creation, is the human form. These forms were manifested as the internal natures and external forms of man and woman and revealed symbolically, in image form and substantially, so that they could connect with and relate to all of creation. People in the everyday world can purchase a home, appliances, furniture, and live a comfortable life just by working eight hours a day. We Unificationists work 24 hours a day, yet we do not own our own homes and barely have enough money to live on… Yet under these circumstances, are we in despair? No, we live in hope. That is our pride. It is the same with me, Reverend Moon. What do you think I am proud of? It is that I am afraid of nothing. There is nothing in heaven or on earth that I am afraid of, because my efforts are entirely for [God’s Will]. How bold! (107:83, April 6, 1980)

Do not do anything for the sake of yourself, but think how to live for the sake of God, heaven and earth, your nation, your tribe, your family and your spouse. If you live for others, you will be elevated into the perfect world. Even if you try to escape and retreat because you think you have been too self-centered, you will be dragged into heaven. How peaceful! How trouble-free!
    If you live your life centered on yourself, you are anxious about everything, saying, “Alas, I failed! I failed!” However, if you live for the sake of others for ten and twenty years, everyone will be your friend. If you live for the sake of others, your heart will become empty, and the truth will come to you. (203:102, June 17, 1990)

God teaches you when your spirit is joyful and shining like daylight. That is why you should strive to have a bright spirit. Always be grateful. Whenever something is troubling you, it is best to resolve it right away.
    Why should you make this effort? It is to reduce the gap between God and yourself. Therefore, rather than lamenting over your difficulties by yourself, it is better to have a religion. Report your problems to Heaven: “O God, please take my situation under Thy care. Thou knowest my situation, so deal with the matter as Thou wilt.” With this prayer, you can release all your cares. That is the life of a religious person. Try to live this way, and you can have many hours in communion with God. Then, regardless of your present situation, you can always find hope. Where people gather together with others,
though they try to resolve matters things become complicated again.
But where people gather centered on Heaven,
the matters that have formed knots in people’s minds are solved. (7:13, July 5, 1959)

When you are raising funds or witnessing, or whatever you do, if you do it with prayer and a heart of devotion, you will be shown in advance what kind of person you will meet. You set out to go somewhere, but you mysteriously desire to go to a place you had not intended to go. There you meet a person whom God loves. Having these experiences, can you possibly say that God does not exist? (69:288, January 1, 1974)

[When I was beaten in prison] I lost so much blood that I was more dead than alive. How did I survive? The Devil demands that others live for his sake. That is the reason why all dictators throughout his-tory have demanded that others serve them. (222:138, October 28, 1991)
 
A human being’s essence is spirit. When you go to the spirit world, you will vividly realize that the essence of being human is to live for the sake of others. Why, then, do people treat every matter so selfishly? It is because humankind has a blood relationship with Satan, the angel that violated the law of Heaven. (2:138, March 17, 1957)
 
Evil started from Satan, who infused into Eve the attitude, “I am the subject; I am the center.” It started with the mentality to boast of oneself, which is evil. God’s original Principle of Creation is, “Live for the sake of others.” Satanic fallen nature is, “Live for myself.”
    You must know the origin of good and evil clearly. Evil people expect others to live for them; God wants to tear down this nature. Jesus also wants to it tear down; that is why he taught: Do not be arrogant, live for others and serve others. (69:84-85, October 20, 1973)
 
The Fall means that human beings fail to connect with God’s vertical true love and cannot fulfill horizontal true love in their relationships with others. This is because the archangel Lucifer invaded human horizontal love.
    As the result of the Fall, God lost His children, and we were born into a dysfunctional life, suffering from conflict between mind and body. On this condition, the Devil can inappropriately subjugate human beings. (198:158, February 1, 1990)
 
In John 8.44, Jesus says: “You are of your father the Devil… He is a liar and the father of lies.” Our lineage from Satan is a result of the Fall. Lucifer (who became Satan) seduced Eve, who then seduced Adam. As a result, human history began with a tragedy brought about by deception. (73:202-03, September 18, 1974)
 
When Eve united with the archangel Lucifer and they fell, the archangel became Satan, the Devil, and Eve was bonded to his blood lineage. Originally, Adam and Eve’s children should have been the elder and younger sons of God. However, once Eve had fallen with Satan, he claimed her body as his. According to the Principle of Creation, love determines ownership. By this principle, once two people enter into a love relationship, each partner has ownership rights over the other. Therefore, once Eve fell, the archangel could rightfully claim ownership over her and over all her descendants, fallen human beings. (110:216, November 18, 1980)
 
Due to the Fall, human beings could not become temples of God; instead, they united with Satan and became his dwelling places. By being united with Satan, they failed to cultivate the divine nature; instead, they acquired an evil nature. People with evil nature have propagated evil through their children, constituting evil families, evil societies and an evil world. This is the hell on earth in which we have been living. In this hell, we cannot properly form cooperative horizontal relation-ships with one another because our vertical relationships with God have been severed. We perform deeds harmful to others because we cannot feel the pain and suffering of our neighbors as our own.
    Since humans are living in hell on earth, after shedding their physical body, they naturally enter hell in the spirit world. We have not built the Kingdom of God, but instead established the sovereignty of Satan. For this reason, Satan is called the “ruler of this world” (John 12.31) and the “god of this world.” (2 Cor. 4.4)

Father! We cannot feel in our daily life how much the foundation of Satan’s power and authority remains. We go about our walk of faith, hour after hour, day after day, yet we do not recognize the extent that Satan’s power and authority has invaded our daily life and the circumstances in which we live.          (19:185, January 17, 1968)
