The Chosen People Hounded Jesus Out

Why do we have brothers and sisters?
Why do we need brothers and sisters?
It is because with brothers and sisters,
boys can watch their younger sisters
and elder sisters, and from them learn
how their mothers grew up; and girls
can watch their naughty elder brothers
and younger brother, and from them
learn how their fathers grew up. This
is called the love of brothers and sis-
ters. So, you should love your siblings.
Also, you should learn to love your sib-
lings as you love your father and mother.
You cannot love them if you don’t learn
how. So, through watching your broth-
ers and sisters you learn how your par-
ents grew up and you come to love them
as your parents do. In this way, you will
be able to love your mother and father
even after you go to the next world. You
need your brothers and sisters in order
to be an owner of love without shame.
Then, would it be better for brothers and
sisters to love each other more than their
parents or less than their parents? It is
better that they love one another more.
Why is that so? Because watching and
loving your siblings is like watching and
loving your mother and father when they
were growing up. When you do this, it
fulfills the condition of loving your par-
ents from their birth to their death. So
these brothers and sisters are connected
to each other through such love. That’s
why I think this way.

Satan is the enemy who violated
love. He is a wretched thief who entered
the house while the parents were asleep,
murdered the father and raped the
mother. Who is Satan? He is the enemy
of love who raped God’s beloved Eve,
God’s partner in substantial form.

The Incarnation of Jesus, A Pioneer

Matthew 8: 18-22

The title of the sermon I would like to share with you is “The Incarnation of Jesus, A Pioneer.” I will speak upon this topic.

God exerted Himself to the utmost for the sake of saving fallen humanity. If someone sought us while we were yet sinners, someone toiled to introduce the land of blessing to us, it was not our beloved parents, children or spouse who related to us with such love. It was not a nation nor was it some saint or sage. It was none other than God Himself.

To pave the way for our hope, God has been exerting Himself until today. To alleviate our hearts and situations, to resolve everything in us that has been put out of order, He has labored and fought without rest. You must remember that God has been taking the responsibility of a pioneer throughout history. Continue reading “The Chosen People Hounded Jesus Out”

Jesus Was Never Free to Share His Heart

Earthly life and life in the spir-
it world are not separate. Earthly life
is important, and so is life in the spirit
world. In other words, life in the spirit
world is connected to earthly life. Both
are important, but the people living on
earth today are not aware of eternal life.
They think that only life on this earth
is important. That is the problem. Even
among our Unification Church mem-
bers, there are many who do not grasp
that their present life affects their eter-
nal life. (217-85, 1991.4.16)

Because in front of God your blood is
not pure, you should be totally obedient
in order to change this. Therefore, if you
are disobedient you have to be taught
the way of obedience even if it means
being chastised. That means that you
are taught God’s love. This is the Unifi-
cation Church. This is why the Unifica-
tion Church will become the center of all
religions. (33-332, 1970.8.23)

The Sorrowful Heart of Jesus as He Went to the Mountain

Matthew 17: 1-8

When Jesus prayed three times, “My Father, if it is possible, let this cup pass from me” (Matthew 26:39), there was no one who prayed with the same Shim Jung: “Father, if possible, let me be taken to the cross instead of Jesus.” You should know that there was no chosen believer or person capable of offering such a prayer.

The life of Jesus was a continuation of grave events like those on the mountain, without any joy. Whenever he was lonely, Jesus visited the valleys of the Mount of Olives. Whenever he was sad, he gave a silent sermon, with the quiet forest as his friends. We should know that he never had a free place where he could share the depth of his heart with anyone. Try to Understand Jesus’ Heart

Cheon Seong Gyeong 1542

A perfected human being should
become a citizen of the one global nation
that is also God’s kingdom. Which coun-
try do you belong to? Among those of
you gathered here, some may be Amer-
ican, some German, some Korean, and
so on, but where is God’s kingdom? This
world, earth, is your nation as well as
mine. Where is our hometown? This
world is our hometown. We are not con-
cerned with national boundaries and
things like that. Neither are we con-
cerned about the differences between
blacks and whites. All of us are God’s
children. (79-247, 1975.8.24)

When the sexual organs are sancti-
fied, they can be connected to heaven.
Their importance should be taught from
elementary school. The goals pursued by
man and woman are the sexual organs
of love. They are shaped as concave and
convex for love. Why were the genitals
shaped differently? For the sake of love.
Which love is it for? It is for true love, God’s
eternal and unchanging love. (278-271,
1996.5.26)

The Sorrowful Heart of Jesus as He Went to the Mountain

Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Matthew 17: 1-8

When Jesus climbed the Mount of Transfiguration, he was accompanied by three disciples. Although they were chosen as representatives of the nation, they failed to establish any condition of support for Jesus on the mountain route.

When Jesus went to the wilderness, angels served him. When he ascended the Mount of Transfiguration after fighting for the nation, determined to die for it, even the three disciples failed to serve him. Considering this, we cannot help feeling that the life of Jesus, which started and ended in sorrow, was full of pathos.

Jesus knelt down and prayed to Heaven that he would follow His Will to the limits of his strength and with all his effort. Although he followed the three-year course of public life with greater dedication, loyalty, sincerity and effort than any ancestor in history, Jesus was driven out by the nation and the church. Even with no relatives or disciples standing by his side, he still lived a life of prayer in sight of Heaven. Continue reading “Try to Understand Jesus’ Heart”

Don’t Forget the Gravity of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration

Book Review:  The Rod of Iron Kingdom by Hyung Jin Sean Moon

Cheon Seong Gyeong 2260

The family on earth is the horizon-
tal entity whose purpose is to create the
heavenly kingdom. Reproduction is not
possible in the vertical world. The num-
ber of children expands in the horizon-
tal world and they become God’s citi-
zens. When members of royal families
who are God’s citizens multiply, they
are all citizens except the firstborn. They
become relatives. Those citizens become
clans. There must be a firstborn among
the clans, right? Among tribes, too, there
needs to be the firstborn that ties all the
tribes together. This is Adam and Eve.
Adam and Eve were to be the king and
queen of the eternal tradition. In a dem-
ocratic world, all this disappears. Then
what is the spherical shape? The founda-
tion for producing the citizens of heaven
is not the family foundation in Heaven,
but on earth. To bear children is to pro-
duce citizens of the heavenly world. (234-
165, 1992.8.10)

Cheon Seong Gyeong 1123

The human portion of responsibility
was lost. Then, what is that portion of
responsibility? It was entrusted to men
and women, so that they could both
mature, men taking the east side and
women taking the west side…. Men were
born for the sake of women and women
were born for the sake of men, so they
must mature and marry. Where would
they meet? At the meeting point made
by perpendicular lines. When plus and
minus meet love explodes, and becomes
the foundation for God’s love, life and
lineage. This becomes a root so secure
that even if someone tries to pull it out
he will not be able to do so. As human
beings we are to be born centered on the
origin of absolute love, life and lineage.

The Sorrowful Heart of Jesus as He Went to the Mountain

Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Matthew 17: 1-8

Next, Jesus had to think about Abraham, who headed for the mountain after he erred with the sacrifice and was ordered to offer Isaac. He could not help reflecting upon the tragic heart of Abraham, who deceived Isaac and took him to Mount Moriah. For whom did Abraham have to offer his only son Isaac as a sacrifice? Jesus must have reflected upon how this was, of course, for the Father and the Messiah.

Jesus then must have remembered Moses. Moses went through forty years in Pharaoh’s palace and forty years of hardship in the wilderness of Midian. He must have imagined the scene in which God appeared to the sorrow-stricken Moses in the burning bush, by the foot of Mount Horeb, and made a new promise.

He could not help recollecting the scene in which Moses met God on Mount Horeb and formed an unchanging bond with him, as well as the scene in which God and Moses made a relationship, through God’s providence to eradicate the enemy Satan from the universe. He could not help recalling the loyalty of Moses in serving the Will. Continue reading “Don’t Forget the Gravity of Jesus on the Mount of Transfiguration”

As you are doing your tong ban
breakthrough activities, you should
gain the support of 12 families. When
you go to a district, you should gain the
support of 12 local communities, and
when you go to a local community you
should integrate twelve home neigh-
borhoods. There are twelve stages. For
the most part, haven’t the cities, coun-
ties and boroughs harmonized with us?
There isn’t anyone, including the heads
of organizations, who doesn’t respect
Rev. Moon, right? All of you are also
respected, right? We have become influ-
ential, right? So, you are people of influ-
ence, but are you the central figure of
influence or not? We’re the only ones
who can prevail over the communists,
right? So we have become the central fig-
ures of influence. (204-245, 1990.7.11)

Cheon Seong Gyeong 1154

Who is Satan? To God he is the adul-
terer. Forgiving the adulterer would go
against the heavenly principle, so God
cannot forgive him. Therefore, even
though God can forgive the people of
the satanic world a hundred or a thou-
sand times, He absolutely cannot forgive
Satan. That is why the great judgment
will come. Who will be judged in the
great judgment? It is not human beings,
but Satan, who dwells like a master in
their souls, who will be judged. (22-282,

The Sorrowful Heart of Jesus as He Went to the Mountain

Rev. Sun Myung Moon

Matthew 17: 1-8

Christianity has had a deep connection with mountains throughout history. I will speak to you on the topic of “The Sorrowful Heart of Jesus as He Went to the Mountain.”

You must know well the scene of the Transfiguration from the text of the Bible. Please re-imagine the figure of Jesus as he went up to the Mount of Transfiguration. Going to the top of the mountain, Jesus represented the whole providence of history, his own contemporary age, and all the descendants of the future. I would like you to remember, however, that he climbed the mountain with a mournful, sad and lonesome heart, rather than a joyful one. We should know that this event did not affect only that moment. It was a time when a crucial decision was made that had implications for the age before Jesus, the age of Jesus, and the age after Jesus.
