Since the beginning of history, who
has practiced true love focused on par-
ents, true love focused on husband and
wife, and true love focused on brothers
and sisters? True love is absolute. (20-40,
1968.3.31)
The love of God is expressed as paren-
tal love, conjugal love and children’s love.
These three great loves make it possible
for human beings to exist forever. These
great loves transcend even the loftiest
human view of love. When these loves
are perfected, happiness is perfected.
When they are lacking, misfortune sets
in. This is why people become happy
when these three great loves unite. Is a
motherless person happy? That person’s
misery is equal to the emptiness he or
she feels. Is a fatherless person happy? A
fatherless person envies those who have
a father. Happiness leaves no room for
envy. The same is true for love. If you
envy someone or something, you can-
not say you are happy.
You cannot be happy without a father
and mother. No matter how great a man’s
ideals may be or how much he boasts, he
needs a woman. He needs a wife. When
a husband and wife have lived happily
together and then the husband suddenly
passes away, the wife will shed tears. A
woman cannot live without a man, and a
man cannot live without a woman.

Didn’t hell come into existence after
the Fall? In contrast, heaven is the world
of love which everyone in both the spiri-
tual and physical worlds can enter after
passing through the True Parents’ gates
of love. Had Adam and Eve not fallen,
but instead entered heaven through
establishing true parental love, they
would have become the model for all
subsequent families in the world. Heav-
en will be opened when the first exem-
plary family can enter.
All the families that have linked
themselves to the love of this royal fam-
ily of heaven and inheriting their tradi-
tion will be like branches pointing north,
south, east and west as they grow from
that central trunk. Thus, they can enter
heaven by the same principle that is the
basis of a unified world. You need to

Who Will Become the Friend of Golgotha?

Luke 12: 26-43

Satan struck Jesus and the right-hand thief. After the death of Jesus, he struck the twelve disciples. Heaven gave even the twelve disciples to Satan. Why did he have to hit like this? Though the course of Jesus was an individual course to Golgotha, because of it the twelve disciples, the chosen people and the nation of the Israel also had to go through the course of Golgotha. Today all the Christians of the world and all humankind must also go through the course of Golgotha. Today’s democratic world does not know that it has to go over the worldwide hill of Golgotha, centering on democracy. Jesus tried to go over this worldwide hill of Golgotha. As you know, the reason Jesus prayed, “My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me?” (Matthew 27:46) was not because he mourned his own death but because he was worried that if he died, humankind would have to go through the course of Golgotha. That is why he prayed, “My Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me; nevertheless, not as I will, but as thou wilt.” (Matthew 26:39)

If Jesus had not gone through the course of Golgotha, there would not have been the worldwide course of Golgotha. However, once Jesus went through this path, carrying the worldwide and cosmic mission, the individual course of Golgotha remained to his followers. The family course of Golgotha remained in the age of the providence centered on the family. When the providence expanded from the family age to the stage of society, the social road of the cross also remained. In the providential age of the country, in which a national providential will is served, the paths of the family cross, the social cross, and the national cross had to be trodden. Thus, if the worldwide Christ comes on the earth, he has to carry the crosses of the world, the country, the society, the family and the individual. The earth that we live on is divid-
ed into land and sea. Geographical-
ly speaking, peninsulas are situated
between these two, in a midway posi-
tion connecting the continents with the
sea. Since early times, peninsulas have
always been significant in the formation
of civilizations. Greece and Rome, where
ancient civilizations flourished, were
also located on peninsulas. The civiliza-
tions of Spain and Portugal developed
on the Iberian Peninsula. However,
today these civilizations must expand
to the world and bring forth a new civi-
lization in the east and west. The Kore-
an peninsula in Asia is the place for this
civilization to emerge. (115-171, 1981.11.10)

How did the universe begin? From
God’s viewpoint, everything began from
the principle of living for the sake of oth-
ers, and fully investing, even consum-
ing, Himself. Then what was He seek-
ing to achieve by consuming Himself in
order to create His object? What results
from both subject and object partners
consuming themselves, each for the sake
of the other, is love. They do not mind
how much they consume themselves,
if they can possess love. Love is based
on such a concept, and that is why God
began His work of creation according-
ly. He did not end up losing anything.
Why would God have completely invest-
ed Himself if He knew it would result in
loss? Within love, there is an energy that
can more than fill everything; therefore,
although God consumed and invest-
ed Himself, He received love in return.
True love is something that does not
diminish with investment, but instead
accumulates through it. If this was not
the case, and the principle maintained
that true love diminishes, God Himself
would have been consumed by investing
Himself. It was in fact quite the opposite,
for the reality is that the more true love
you put in, the more it increases. (237-124,

Historically, as evil grew strong, the good became weak. When evil was too strong for the good to guide it, history went on with evil conquering the good. Amid this, however, a small goodness sprouted forth, formed a greater goodness, and proceeded toward the purpose of goodness. You should know, then, that the historical course thus far has moved through the process by which goodness rises. Thus, history flows from the individual through the family, and with a social character. Through the form of the collective clan, the tribe, and the nation and country, it comes to the stage of the world. Furthermore, history will not stop at the visible world. It will extend toward the spirit world of the universe.

Human history has been going through the ages of goodness centered on the individual, the clan, the tribe, the nation, the country and the world. In this way, a small goodness in history has been developing into greater goodness. Thus, the individual battle turned into a family battle, the family battle turned into a clan battle, the clan battle turned into a social battle, the social battle turned into a national battle, the national battle turned into a worldwide battle. If the spirit world exists, there will be a battle between the spirit world and the earth. If God exists, only when the war between God and the countless evil spirits of the earth is over will the age of peace come to this universe. You should realize God’s situation, who is working through such a process of the Principle. Church will be the center of religious
unification in the end, correcting the
standard for presidents, prime minis-
ters, and all the proud politicians of the
nations. This is my work, to accomplish
this not by force, but by natural submis-

Blessing of 360 Million Couples, the
unified world of the realm of heart will
emerge on earth, encompassing the
whole world, and the families who live
in this realm of heart will be like Adam’s
perfected family; they will live in God’s
Kingdom on earth and when they pass
on, they will enter His kingdom in the
spirit world. In such a manner, the gates
to heaven will be opened. (288-328, 1998.1.1)

Richard:  Here Rev. Moon explains that his work is core, and that the world will be changed into the Kingdom of Heaven through this work.  This is playing out now, especially with the February 28th Cosmic Blessing.

What then is the sorrow of Jesus, who came with God’s will? What were his mistreatment and anger? What was his utmost pain? You should know that the greatest sorrow for Jesus was the Shim Jung he had when he could not complete what he wanted to say, give life completely, leave behind the joyful ideal, and share heavenly love. He knew he carried the heavenly word overflowing with life, the ideal and love.

Throughout the thousands of years of history, God tried to have our ancestors assist Heaven, but they betrayed Him in every age. Thus, we should feel and know that since we have such ancestors, we in the last days are standing at a great crossroad in which we may easily become historical and cosmic betrayers again. Jesus was sent to the Israelites as a promise, after thousands of years of effort from Abraham to Moses. The Israelites were chosen as the center of the word, life, the ideal and love. Yet the chosen people, who had waited and prepared for the Messiah, standing on their historical merit, were unable to serve him. We have a saying that refers to serv-
ing both parents and grandparents.
How many levels are there? There may
be five generations in a family, but nor-
mally there are four – your grandfather,
your father, your own couple and then
your sons and daughters. With this in
mind, the Unification Church Princi-
ple introduces the three stages of for-
mation, growth and completion. This
teaching deals with living in harmony
and declares, “All goes well if there is
harmony in the family.” Why is this? Is
it because it sounds nice? Is it because
someone wanted to be poetic? No. That
is not the case. Harmony in the family
means that four generations revolving
around the grandparents unite – top and
bottom, east and west, north and south,
front and back, and left and right – and
will live together in the joy of laughter.

“The ideology centered on the Heaven-
ly Father” on September 1, 1989. Until
the Ceremony of the Settlement of the
Eight Stages was completed, it was still
the age of the restoration of the right of
the eldest son. Restoring the right of the
eldest son! Finally, the right of the eldest
son has been completely restored. Now,
that the right of the eldest son has been
completely restored to God’s side, we
ascend and stand in the highest global
realm, where Satan cannot oppose us.
The time has now come when, if we push
forward strongly and boldly, America,
the communist world, Korea and Japan
will all yield. That is why we should be

26 If you don’t have power over small things, why worry about everything else?

27 Look how the wild flowers grow! They don’t work hard to make their clothes. But I tell you that Solomon with all his wealth[a] wasn’t as well clothed as one of these flowers. 28 God gives such beauty to everything that grows in the fields, even though it is here today and thrown into a fire tomorrow. Won’t he do even more for you? You have such little faith!

29 Don’t keep worrying about having something to eat or drink. 30 Only people who don’t know God are always worrying about such things. Your Father knows what you need. 31 But put God’s work first, and these things will be yours as well.

32 My little group of disciples, don’t be afraid! Your Father wants to give you the kingdom. 33 Sell what you have and give the money to the poor. Make yourselves moneybags that never wear out. Make sure your treasure is safe in heaven, where thieves cannot steal it and moths cannot destroy it. 34 Your heart will always be where your treasure is.

35 Be ready and keep your lamps burning 36 just like those servants who wait up for their master to return from a wedding feast. As soon as he comes and knocks, they open the door for him. 37 Servants are fortunate if their master finds them awake and ready when he comes! I promise you that he will get ready and have his servants sit down so he can serve them. 38 Those servants are really fortunate if their master finds them ready, even though he comes late at night or early in the morning. 39 You would surely not let a thief break into your home, if you knew when the thief was coming. 40 So always be ready! You don’t know when the Son of Man will come.

41 Peter asked Jesus, “Did you say this just for us or for everyone?”

42 The Lord answered:

Who are faithful and wise servants? Who are the ones the master will put in charge of giving the other servants their food supplies at the proper time? 43 Servants are fortunate if their master comes and finds them doing their job.

 

Prayer

Today we have gathered before You again. We are afraid of not being able to return glory to You in Your distress. We are afraid of revealing reckless falsity before Your will. Father, if we are unworthy, at least grant us the sincere heart to be able to humble ourselves and wait for Your mercy. Without Your care, how can we see Your glory on the earth? Without abiding in Your Shim Jung, how can we see the garden granted to us? Father! We have desired from the beginning and pursued the will to become those who can abide in Your heart, harmonize with Your Shim Jung, and live with You.

We sang about You when we first experienced Your Shim Jung. Yet along the way, many of us have been wounded in the heart. Please have sympathy with our plights. We have learned through the process of restoration that the initial determination we made before You must remain in the last garden of restoration. We know too well that the Israelites who did not fall in the wilderness were those whose ardent Shim Jung toward You was unchanging from the time of the departure from Egypt throughout the forty-year course. Those who had the Shim Jung of loyalty toward You received the blessing of the second Israel. The Lord answered:

Stop lying there on the ground! Get up! 11 I said everything in Jericho belonged to me and had to be destroyed. But the Israelites have kept some of the things for themselves. They stole from me and hid what they took. Then they lied about it. 12 What they stole was supposed to be destroyed, and now Israel itself must be destroyed. I cannot help you anymore until you do exactly what I have said. That’s why Israel turns and runs from its enemies instead of standing up to them.

13 Tell the people of Israel, “Tomorrow you will meet with the Lord your God, so make yourselves acceptable to worship him. The Lord says that you have taken things that should have been destroyed. You won’t be able to stand up to your enemies until you get rid of those things.

When Daniel was brought in, the king said:

So you are Daniel, one of the captives my father brought back from Judah! 14 I was told that the gods have given you special powers and that you are intelligent and very wise. 15 Neither my advisors nor the men who talk with the spirits of the dead could read this writing or tell me what it means. 16 But I have been told that you understand everything and that you can solve difficult problems. Now then, if you can read this writing and tell me what it means, you will become the third most powerful man in my kingdom. You will wear royal purple robes and have a gold chain around your neck.

There can be only one conclusion of
all human values. What is at the core of
that conclusion? It is true love. If you
were asked what true love is, you would
not be able to define it. The ideological
view of the Unification Church is to cre-
ate one world based on love. It dictates
clearly and in concrete terms how an
individual, a family, and a tribe should
live. That set of laws is not just some con-
ception of Rev. Moon. It reflects the laws
of heaven. Otherwise, we would not be
able to register in the next world. (147-194,

From the theoretical perspective,
there will no longer be anything to
explain with regard to God’s will. Every-
thing has been completed. The time has
now come for us to turn over a new leaf.
Now that we are carrying on the histo-
ry bequeathed to us from God and True
Parents, the era of registration will soon
arrive. Then you will have to be regis-
tered. Have you all become like God and
True Parents in the position of sons and
daughters of God? It is easy to say, but
not to fulfill. Whether asleep or awake,
you must always keep this in mind. These
thoughts must accompany you wherever
you go, and whatever you do, whether
you are eating or sleeping. In order to
do so, you need to experience residing
in the homeland before passing on to the
next world. (201-234, 1990.4.22)
Through the Fall, everything that
should not exist, everything that is con-
trary to the way of heaven, is overflowing
in this world. It all needs to be eradicat-
ed. It needs to be separated from God’s
world. Words alone are not enough to
achieve this. The world is filled with the
variegated customs and habitual life-
styles of different races, from the vari-
ous historical and cultural backgrounds
which are connected to each other only
through the love, life, and lineage of
Satan. Therefore, it will not be easy to
eliminate all this.
This is the reason why it is written
in the Bible, those who seek to die will
live. This is how the paradoxical logic
is formed. Those who seek to die will
live. In other words, you need to invest
your life into this. Therefore, everything
needs to be bleached and washed, that is,
restored through indemnity. Such a pro-
cess is absolutely necessary. If this is not
carried out, and you are still left with the
habitual tendencies or criminal nature
as remnants of the satanic world, you
cannot form a relationship with God.
