It is Most Important to Attend Jesus and His Representative on Earth

People like butterflies rather than
bees. It is because butterflies dance as
they fly. Everything that flies does so in
rhythm with a beat and with a melody.
Fast-flying creatures fly in time with a
beat; so do slow-flying ones. There are
various styles of flight, but, anyway,
everything flies according to a certain
rhythm. Also, the way deer run and
rabbits play in the mountains is musi-
cal. The way they hop around has a cer-
tain rhythm, and the way they eat also
has a musical quality. It is the same with
people; there is a certain rhythm when
we eat. These all express something
musically. If we think in this way – that
someone made this universe for me to
last for eternity and put it in place for
me – we should feel grateful to Him. We
should not think as an onlooker, as if
this were something to do with someone
in a neighboring village. There are high
mountains and low mountains. Do you
like there being high mountains with
low-lying land, or do you like only plain
and flat land? Having high and low is
better. Why is this so? It is because these
shapes assume a certain form that looks
as if it would dance. It is good when
these are in forms of all kinds and col-
ors, going up and going down, forming
all kinds of curves. Then, this creation is

like a dance. In nature, there are splen-
did dances and beautiful music; there is
wonderful artwork. So many such things
exist in nature. (87-321, 1976.6.27)

Ecclesiastes 5

Don’t be surprised if the poor of your country are abused, and injustice takes the place of justice. After all, the lower officials must do what the higher ones order them to do. And since the king is the highest official, he benefits most from the taxes paid on the land.[d] Continue reading “It is Most Important to Attend Jesus and His Representative on Earth”

Exodus 28

They should make the vest of gold, of blue, purple, and deep red yarns and of fine twisted linen with embroidered designs. The vest will have two shoulder pieces attached to its two edges so that they may be joined together. The vest’s belt should be attached to it and made in the same way of gold, of blue, purple, and deep red yarns and fine twisted linen. Take two gemstones and engrave on them the names of Israel’s sons, 10 six names on one stone and the other six names on the other stone, in the order of their birth. 11 Like a gem cutter who engraves official seals, you will engrave the two stones with the names of Israel’s sons. Mount them in gold settings. 12 Attach the two stones to the vest’s shoulder pieces as stones of reminder for the Israelites. Aaron will carry into the Lord’s presence their names on his two shoulders as a reminder.

Ecclisiastes 8

Then I saw the wicked brought to their graves, with people processing from a holy place,[c] while those who had lived honestly were neglected in the city. This too is pointless.

11 The condemnation for wicked acts isn’t carried out quickly; that’s why people dare to do evil. 12 Wrongdoers may commit a hundred crimes but still live long lives. But I also know that it will go well for those who fear God, for those who are reverent before God. 13 But it will not go well for the wicked; they won’t live long at all because they aren’t reverent before God. 14 Here’s another thing that happens on earth that is pointless: the righteous get what the wicked deserve, and the wicked get what the righteous deserve. I say that this too is pointless.

Richard:  Evil may seem to prosper, but ‘no one makes a fool out of God’. Continue reading “Attitude is the Key to Overcome Suffering”

Exodus 36

1So Bezalel, Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord has given skill and ability to know how to carry out all the work of constructing the sanctuary are to do the work just as the Lord has commanded.”

2Then Moses summoned Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person to whom the Lord had given ability and who was willing to come and do the work. 3They received from Moses all the offerings the Israelites had brought to carry out the work of constructing the sanctuary. And the people continued to bring freewill offerings morning after morning. 4So all the skilled workers who were doing all the work on the sanctuary left what they were doing 5and said to Moses, “The people are bringing more than enough for doing the work the Lord commanded to be done.”

Ecclesiastes 9

5For the living know that they will die,

but the dead know nothing;

they have no further reward,

and even their name is forgotten.

6Their love, their hate

and their jealousy have long since vanished;

never again will they have a part

in anything that happens under the sun.

7Go, eat your food with gladness, and drink your wine with a joyful heart, for God has already approved what you do. 8Always be clothed in white, and always anoint your head with oil. 9Enjoy life with your wife, whom you love, all the days of this meaningless life that God has given you under the sun—all your meaningless days. For this is your lot in life and in your toilsome labor under the sun. 10Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might, for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom.

Richard

God wants us to live fully each day, not regretfully.  If I died today, would I be regretful?  We should be grateful each day, fulfilling our appointed work, according to our conscience centered on God’s Word.  We should appreciate and care for our spouse and find joy in life.
