should be proud of God’s love and True
Parents’ love. You should praise them
more than what you own, more than
what belongs to the nation, and more
than what belongs to the world. Such
love is the combination of God’s love and

John 14: 1-19

You should not be boastful that you go to church and live a life of faith. I have felt and seen that the people who can connect in heart and be grateful to Heaven and earth are in a higher position when they go to the spiritual world than the people who take joy in thinking they have a faithful character just because they have lived decades of a life of faith. This is true even if the people of heart do not know the word.

Thus, the way to Heaven is to lose everything. It is a path that entails losing everything of this world. You have to throw away everything, including the sinful world and your sinful self. What is the only thing that should be kept? It is the heart that allows you to call Heavenly Father “Father.” Only with such a heart can you meet the Lord, the bridegroom. This is a universal truth that can encompass even the cosmos. In this day, there is absolutely no need for any ideology. God could be with Jesus because he had such a heart. That is what we need.

Jesus owned almost nothing. His only clothes were the ones he wore. The only thing he had was probably the staff he used. Even if he did possess many things, what would have been most precious? If there is anything so precious that it cannot be exchanged even for the whole universe, it is the desperate heart which can call on God as the Father. We should realize that this is the total value of Jesus.

Paul said even the words would pass. He said that out of the three things, faith, hope and love, that the greatest was love. Paul felt Heavenly Father’s desperate heart of love for mankind, torn and saddened while trying to find the lost ones throughout the tribulations of history. Paul realized Heavenly Father’s loving heart as God sincerely hoped that he would overcome the environment of severe persecution on the left and on the right and where the hostile arrows of the enemy flew at him.

Thus, Paul said, “Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?” (Rom. 8:35) What he said is correct. All of Jesus’ words and life testified to this. Because God had dominion over Jesus, who had such a heart, He could resurrect Jesus from death. History brought about revolutions in society amidst various tribulations. Heaven went through those tribulations, too. The only thing that can engulf this sorrowful history, stained with sin, is heart.

That is why history today is leading into the realm of the ideology of Jesus. This cannot be denied. If there is an individual who can transcend the present history to remain until the time of the new ideal world, that person will be the person who has the heart to call Heavenly Father “Father.” Furthermore, that person would be able to call Jesus the bridegroom and older brother. Jesus said, “You are my friends and brethren.” We should feel like this.

If there is a gift that can be given to mankind in the last days of history, it is for all of humanity to be able to call Heavenly Father “Father.” It is not only to understand God’s historical character with our hearts, but to feel it and make it our own. If that happens, humanity will receive the new world.

The heart of mankind belongs to Heaven. Jesus brought the Gospel and said to love him more than anyone else. He also said he was the son of God, the bridegroom, and that we are the bride. Does this sound contradictory? Yet we must be grateful for such words. Doesn’t his saying so mean everything when we have to walk the sorrowful path of restoration, that God is our father and that we are the bride? Jesus lived with such a heart from birth; he spoke with such a heart, and he fought with Satan for decades with such a heart.

Matthew 12

9 Jesus left and went into one of the Jewish meeting places, 10 where there was a man whose hand was crippled. Some Pharisees wanted to accuse Jesus of doing something wrong, and they asked him, “Is it right to heal someone on the Sabbath?”

11 Jesus answered, “If you had a sheep that fell into a ditch on the Sabbath, wouldn’t you lift it out? 12 People are worth much more than sheep, and so it is right to do good on the Sabbath.” 13 Then Jesus told the man, “Hold out your hand.” The man did, and it became as healthy as the other one.

14 The Pharisees left and started making plans to kill Jesus.

Richard: The world will generally oppose you when you move aggressively to do what is right. Notice here that it is the very Jewish leaders that Jesus came to as their Savio whom they had been waiting for that are opposing Jesus.

Jonah 4

9 But the Lord asked, “Jonah, do you have the right to be angry about the vine?”

“Yes, I do,” he answered, “and I’m angry enough to die.”

10 But the Lord said:

You are concerned about a vine that you did not plant or take care of, a vine that grew up in one night and died the next. 11 In that city of Nineveh there are more than a hundred twenty thousand people who cannot tell right from wrong, and many cattle are also there. Don’t you think I should be concerned about that big city?

Richard: We should rejoice when our lost brothers and sisters return to God, not complain that their destruction did not come about.

God’s Will Which We Must Untangle

34 Don’t think that I came to bring peace to the earth! I came to bring trouble, not peace. 35 I came to turn sons against their fathers, daughters against their mothers, and daughters-in-law against their mothers-in-law. 36 Your worst enemies will be in your own family.

37 If you love your father or mother or even your sons and daughters more than me, you are not fit to be my disciples. 38 And unless you are willing to take up your cross and come with me, you are not fit to be my disciples. 39 If you try to save your life, you will lose it. But if you give it up for me, you will surely find it.

Matthew 18

15 If one of my followers[a] sins against you, go and point out what was wrong. But do it in private, just between the two of you. If that person listens, you have won back a follower. 16 But if that one refuses to listen, take along one or two others. The Scriptures teach that every complaint must be proven true by two or more witnesses. 17 If the follower refuses to listen to them, report the matter to the church. Anyone who refuses to listen to the church must be treated like an unbeliever or a tax collector.

Prayer

Father, we know that Your ideal of creating the original garden and embracing the original true children with the original heart never appeared on this earth. Please forgive humanity. We have not sung to You with our original hearts from the time we were seized by death until today.

Please forgive us, the miserable ones who were unable to call You from the glorious original position. Father, please have compassion on us, for we did not attain the original heart and were unable to call You “My Father” with yearning.

Humanity lost the original garden, fell into the world of death and struggled against the darkness. We have been in the midst of lamentation and hopelessness, entrapped in the hands of the enemy. However, we long for the original homeland in our consciences, the remnant of the original mind. With Your touch, which we felt hour to hour, we have sought the stream of heavenly life. Father, even as You persevered through the historical battles, You helped us. We are so grateful.

Father, You know that being immature and unworthy, we are tired from this course. I ask You to spread Your hands of compassion over us. Please grant the power of re-creation and restore our original hearts. My Father, I sincerely ask that You hold us so that we may approach You with our original selves.

We must go toward the original world for which You long, even if we have to cut away everything of this world. Therefore, Father, please allow us to be totally immersed in desperate longing for the homeland. Please drive us so that we may run to the homeland, even if our bodies and legs become exhausted.

Pack a few things as though you were going to be taken away as a prisoner. Then go outside where everyone can see you and walk around from place to place. Maybe as they watch, they will realize what rebels they are. 4 After you have done this, return to your house.

Later that evening leave your house as if you were going into exile. 5 Dig through the wall of your house[a] and crawl out, carrying the bag with you. Make sure everyone is watching. 6 Lift the bag to your shoulders, and with your face covered, take it into the darkness, so that you cannot see the land you are leaving. All of this will be a warning for the people of Israel.

The Path of Life We Must Go, Entertaining Hope

Romans 8: 18-21

After Jesus came and left, his twelve disciples walked the same path. They went into Rome and endured the severity of persecution. They were crucified and put to death. They were left for dead. In spite of such, they still did not give up their hope. The joy that they received from having hope was stronger than the fear they felt of death, stronger than any pain they received from tribulation; stronger than any armament. It was stronger than any influence and anything that was boasted of in the world. We have learned that Christianity was established on the grounds which prophets and sages walked, embracing hope more strongly than anything else.

Today we are placed in a situation where we too must entertain a new hope and set up and affect an object on the worldwide level. This being the reality, you will have to understand that the hope you cherish should exert stronger influence than any other power. Even if death comes upon you, even if all this universe is to disappear, hope should be the source of power with which you can overcome. Only if you become such unchanging central figures of hope will you be able to stand in front of Heaven.

There have been many people until now who boasted of themselves as having good faith. However, we have often seen people who boast of themselves fading away. No matter how much one boasts of his good faith, unless he can stand as one central being of hope who has won victory over the last hill of death, we must realize that he will end up being a loser in life. The Lord answered:

Stop lying there on the ground! Get up! 11 I said everything in Jericho belonged to me and had to be destroyed. But the Israelites have kept some of the things for themselves. They stole from me and hid what they took. Then they lied about it. 12 What they stole was supposed to be destroyed, and now Israel itself must be destroyed. I cannot help you anymore until you do exactly what I have said. That’s why Israel turns and runs from its enemies instead of standing up to them.

13 Tell the people of Israel, “Tomorrow you will meet with the Lord your God, so make yourselves acceptable to worship him. The Lord says that you have taken things that should have been destroyed. You won’t be able to stand up to your enemies until you get rid of those things.

Daniel 5

When Daniel was brought in, the king said:

So you are Daniel, one of the captives my father brought back from Judah! 14 I was told that the gods have given you special powers and that you are intelligent and very wise. 15 Neither my advisors nor the men who talk with the spirits of the dead could read this writing or tell me what it means. 16 But I have been told that you understand everything and that you can solve difficult problems. Now then, if you can read this writing and tell me what it means, you will become the third most powerful man in my kingdom. You will wear royal purple robes and have a gold chain around your neck.

There can be only one conclusion of
all human values. What is at the core of
that conclusion? It is true love. If you
were asked what true love is, you would
not be able to define it. The ideological
view of the Unification Church is to cre-
ate one world based on love. It dictates
clearly and in concrete terms how an
individual, a family, and a tribe should
live. That set of laws is not just some con-
ception of Rev. Moon. It reflects the laws
of heaven. Otherwise, we would not be
able to register in the next world. (147-194,

From the theoretical perspective,
there will no longer be anything to
explain with regard to God’s will. Every-
thing has been completed. The time has
now come for us to turn over a new leaf.
Now that we are carrying on the histo-
ry bequeathed to us from God and True
Parents, the era of registration will soon
arrive. Then you will have to be regis-
tered. Have you all become like God and
True Parents in the position of sons and
daughters of God? It is easy to say, but
not to fulfill. Whether asleep or awake,
you must always keep this in mind. These
thoughts must accompany you wherever
you go, and whatever you do, whether
you are eating or sleeping. In order to
do so, you need to experience residing
in the homeland before passing on to the
next world. (201-234, 1990.4.22)
Through the Fall, everything that
should not exist, everything that is con-
trary to the way of heaven, is overflowing
in this world. It all needs to be eradicat-
ed. It needs to be separated from God’s
world. Words alone are not enough to
achieve this. The world is filled with the
variegated customs and habitual life-
styles of different races, from the vari-
ous historical and cultural backgrounds
which are connected to each other only
through the love, life, and lineage of
Satan. Therefore, it will not be easy to
eliminate all this.
This is the reason why it is written
in the Bible, those who seek to die will
live. This is how the paradoxical logic
is formed. Those who seek to die will
live. In other words, you need to invest
your life into this. Therefore, everything
needs to be bleached and washed, that is,
restored through indemnity. Such a pro-
cess is absolutely necessary. If this is not
carried out, and you are still left with the
habitual tendencies or criminal nature
as remnants of the satanic world, you
cannot form a relationship with God.
