Colossians 4

12 Your own Epaphras, who serves Christ Jesus, sends his greetings. He always prays hard that you may fully know what the Lord wants you to do and that you may do it completely. 13 I have seen how much trouble he has gone through for you and for the followers in Laodicea and Hierapolis.

Isaiah 3

Some of you will grab hold
    of a relative and say,
“You still have a coat.
Be our leader
and rule
    this pile of ruins.”
But the answer will be,
“I can’t do you any good.
    Don’t make me your leader.
There’s no food or clothing
    left in my house.”

Jerusalem and Judah,
you rebelled against
    your glorious Lord—
your words and your actions,
    made you stumble and fall.
The look on your faces shows
that you are sinful as Sodom,
and you don’t try to hide it.
You are in for trouble,
and you have brought it all
    on yourselves.

Knowledge of God

3. Evidence of God in History

No one has ever seen God; the only Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, he has made him known.
John 1.18

And you shall know that I am the Lord, when their slain lie among their idols round about their altars, upon every high hill, on all the mountain tops, under every green tree, and under every leafy oak, wherever they offered pleasing odor to all their idols. And I will stretch out my hand against them, and make the land desolate and waste, throughout all their habitations, from the wilderness to Riblah. Then they will know that I am the Lord.”
Ezekiel 6.13-14

All thy works shall give thanks to thee, O Lord, and all thy saints shall bless thee! They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and tell of thy power, to make known to the sons of men thy mighty deeds, and the glorious splendor of thy kingdom. Thy kingdom is an everlasting kingdom, and thy dominion endures throughout all generations. The Lord is faithful in all his words, and gracious in all his deeds. The Lord upholds all who are falling, and raises up all who are bowed down. The eyes of all look to thee, and thou givest them their food in due season. Thou openest thy hand, thou satisfiest the desire of every living thing. The Lord is just in all his ways, and kind in all his doings.
Psalm 145.10-17
