Are the Battles Being Fought or Not?

What is the meaning of death? Earth-
ly life, the time of living in air, parallels
the time of swimming in the womb. We
are living in a wrapping cloth of air.
Death itself is not unique, but only our
rebirth into the third life. That moment
of transition is what we call death. (49-

Pledge number two signifies that
our family pledges to represent and
become central to heaven and earth by
serving God and the True Parents, to
fulfill the way of filial piety in our fam-
ily, patriotism in our nation, saints in
the world, and a family of divine sons
and daughters in heaven and earth. This
means that we will complete everything
desired by God in our family. Through
it, we are making a vow that as parents,
we will educate the children in our fam-
ily, the citizens in our nation, and the
people living in the world, and in heav-
en and earth, so that they may become
eligible to become the family members
of God’s Kingdom. (260-190, 1994.5.8)

Let Us Fathom the Heart of Heaven

Matthew 10:24-39

God came to us and taught us in the following way: He said that He was the father of individuals, families, people and the world. As long as a people possessed a father, they all had the same father. As long as the world had a father, the world had the same father. This is what God wants.

God came to us. He came to each one of us, prisoners in Satan’s sovereignty. However, even after raising up Abraham as the father of faith, God could not share all that He wanted to tell us. Although He raised up a family, He could not tell them all He wanted. Although he chose Moses to lead the people, He could not reveal all He wanted to. Although He sent Jesus, He could not convey all that He wanted to at that time. He could not. It is written clearly in the Bible that He could not speak all that He wanted to.

Why is this so? Jesus represented the God of the world and of the universe and all of Heaven and earth. He could not accomplish this mission without a foundation. Thus, Jesus said that he will return in the Last Days.

Please reflect upon yourselves. You owe an historical debt.

To instruct you and teach you, Heaven came to your people and sent prophets countless times. Do you understand this?

What did Jesus bring with him? Jesus came with the desire to elevate all people as the children of God and to judge Satan’s world. He came to build a garden of happiness as the King of Kings, centering on the Father. He came with this desire, situation and heart of love. Have you ever had such a desire? Have you ever experienced such a situation? Have you ever felt such a heart? If you have not, then you cannot avoid judgment.

Therefore, we should not call out, “God of Abraham, God of Isaac, and God of Jacob. God the Father who called Moses and the prophets of the past, Father whom Jesus called upon!” We should pray, “God of Abraham, God of Jacob, God of Moses and God of Jesus! Please be my God.” God should not be the God of someone else. He must be our own God. This is what we must do.

The time that we call out to the historical God has passed. Thus, the God of the past must have a relationship with us and the God of the future must have a relationship with us. You have to build a relationship in which you can say, “God of the past, isn’t this the current situation? God of the present, isn’t this the situation? God of the future, isn’t this the situation? Isn’t this Your desire?” and God will say, “Yes.”

To do this, first we have to understand that we live in Satan’s world. You are the descendants of Satan. You are prisoners of war captured not by God’s side but by Satan’s side. The Savior is the chief communications representative on the world scale who has the responsibility to bring you back. The “Savior” means that he will save you. The Savior is the person with the mission to save all the prisoners of war. He encourages them and goads them to fight. For this reason, it is written that Jesus came not to bring peace to the world but to provide weapons and provoke battles. Yet are the battles being fought or not? Please examine this carefully.

Who Will Fight Against the Hypocrites?

Kim Il-sung is the false father. North
Koreans call him their parent, do they
not? Why has he appeared at this time in
history? The person who is the most vil-
lainous in all the communist countries,
the greatest of all devils, will appear.
However, I am called the True Parent.
The True Parent should be able to sub-
jugate the false parent through natu-
ral surrender. He should not be struck
down by force. God’s providence of sal-
vation and God’s victory or defeat is not
determined by force. If force were to be
used, everything would be over imme-
diately. If the communists had had their
way, everything would be over. The
fallen world, which used to show off its
mighty armies that created such a his-
tory of strife in this earthly world, and
which passed down Satan’s tradition,
will have a miserable end.
God, who knows such things, is try-
ing to bring Satan to surrender natu-
rally. He tells him to do everything he
wants. After letting him do everything
he wants, Heaven will be hit first and
then it will take it all away, saying that
the one who struck the side of justice
must pay for all the damages. When
Satan arrives at the end of the world, he
will be left with nowhere to go. He will
surrender at the end of the world. God
cannot bring this to pass by Himself.
Rather, He has to prepare a person on
earth who can inherit this task. This is
why He sends the Messiah in the Last
Days. (210-231, 1990.12.23)

ated and approved by the spirit world.

One does not start out as a central
figure with confidence. I, too, have nev-
er thought myself as being confident. I
realized that before I liked myself, I had
to like God and I had to like the one
whom God was seeking. How to possess
this kind of heart was my endeavor. If
I have that heart, there is nothing that
is impossible. You must have a mind to
make people happier and console the

God’s Possession and Our Possession

The mind that desires to serve the thirty million Korean people before you serve yourselves, the mind that tends to think of all humankind on this earth before you think of yourselves, must seep out of you today. Going further, the mind that can cry, holding onto even one blade of grass, should be unconsciously exploding in the midst of your mind. Unless you have this Shim Jung, you cannot become God’s complete sons and daughters.

Such human beings are the fruit of God’s tears, the fruit of God’s pains. They are also the sacrificial offering on God’s bloody altar. In spite of this, human beings do not think about this and step forth asserting themselves shamelessly. The same goes on with all created things.

Who is the person to pioneer the path for these Korean people to walk? The people who beat the ground and weep bitterly, beating their chests for the sake of these people, must emerge. Who is to straighten up this fragmented religious scene? The young men and women who have burning a passion to grab hold of the religious scene should come forth prepared for a bloody battle, beating the ground and appealing to fight against the hypocrites. The earth that we live on is divid-
ed into land and sea. Geographical-
ly speaking, peninsulas are situated
between these two, in a midway posi-
tion connecting the continents with the
sea. Since early times, peninsulas have
always been significant in the formation
of civilizations. Greece and Rome, where
ancient civilizations flourished, were
also located on peninsulas. The civiliza-
tions of Spain and Portugal developed
on the Iberian Peninsula. However,
today these civilizations must expand
to the world and bring forth a new civi-
lization in the east and west. The Kore-
an peninsula in Asia is the place for this

How did the universe begin? From
God’s viewpoint, everything began from
the principle of living for the sake of oth-
ers, and fully investing, even consum-
ing, Himself. Then what was He seek-
ing to achieve by consuming Himself in
order to create His object? What results
from both subject and object partners
consuming themselves, each for the sake
of the other, is love. They do not mind
how much they consume themselves,
if they can possess love. Love is based
on such a concept, and that is why God
began His work of creation according-
ly. He did not end up losing anything.
Why would God have completely invest-
ed Himself if He knew it would result in
loss? Within love, there is an energy that
can more than fill everything; therefore,
although God consumed and invest-
ed Himself, He received love in return.
True love is something that does not
diminish with investment, but instead
accumulates through it. If this was not
the case, and the principle maintained
that true love diminishes, God Himself
would have been consumed by investing
Himself. It was in fact quite the opposite,
for the reality is that the more true love
you put in, the more it increases. (237-124,
1992.11.13)

Who Will Become the Friend of Golgotha?

Historically, as evil grew strong, the good became weak. When evil was too strong for the good to guide it, history went on with evil conquering the good. Amid this, however, a small goodness sprouted forth, formed a greater goodness, and proceeded toward the purpose of goodness. You should know, then, that the historical course thus far has moved through the process by which goodness rises. Thus, history flows from the individual through the family, and with a social character. Through the form of the collective clan, the tribe, and the nation and country, it comes to the stage of the world. Furthermore, history will not stop at the visible world. It will extend toward the spirit world of the universe.

Human history has been going through the ages of goodness centered on the individual, the clan, the tribe, the nation, the country and the world. In this way, a small goodness in history has been developing into greater goodness. Thus, the individual battle turned into a family battle, the family battle turned into a clan battle, the clan battle turned into a social battle, the social battle turned into a national battle, the national battle turned into a worldwide battle. If the spirit world exists, there will be a battle between the spirit world and the earth. If God exists, only when the war between God and the countless evil spirits of the earth is over will the age of peace come to this universe. You should realize God’s situation, who is working through such a process of the Principle.
